The Gyros were pretty good, very basic though, and nothing that popped out as "amazing!" The service was a bit slow, bringing out dishes to our party a bit stacked and the last person getting their plate about 8 minutes after the first person. They were not busy by the way. The ambience was vey typical generic "fancy" setting if that makes sense? This is a 2 part review. If I was commenting on food only, it would be a 5 star review. However,…read morethe management of this establishment needs serious help. Ambiance and interior of the restaurant is fine. FOOD- FANTASTIC. Very flavorful Mediterranean food, cooked well and arrived to the table hot. Granted, it took over an hour to get to us, but more on that below. We ordered the Mediterranean feast, fig bruschetta and house salads which were all great. Tasty tzatziki and pita. The dolma that my mother ordered as her meal came out about 15 minutes after everyone else's food were okay. Overall solid food with no complaints. SERVICE- Our waiter, Harmony, (who mentioned it was only her second day on the job), is the main reason my review is not much more dissatisfied. But make no mistake, the patrons at the table near us were livid with the service they received as well. We stood at the entrance to the restaurant for over 15 minutes, with several staff walking by and not acknowledging our presence or asking to put us on a waitlist but rather averting their eyes and rushing by. (The sign at front asked us to wait to be seated). When I was finally able to flag someone down, they said it would be around 15 minute wait which we were more than okay with, considering the holiday weekend. However, they did not take our name down and we continued to wait; had to flag another waitress down who then helped us to a table shortly after. We then sat without so much as water or anyone stopping by our table to let us know they would be by soon to take our drink order. It seemed unclear if the staff even knew what tables were assigned to them. Once we were able to flag the waitress, Harmony, down, she was kind enough to take our order and adopt our table even though she was not our assigned waitress (seemingly). The waitress who was then supposed to be ours came by 15-20 minutes later and we let her know we already had been helped. Harmony was very attentive, doing everything in her power to get our alcoholic beverages and food to our table faster, letting us know she checked on the kitchen several times. I have no problem with food being slower, especially on a holiday weekend. However, what really turned me off to the experience is the response of who seemed to be the owner/manager of the place. She was walking around saying hi to several tables multiple times and checked on our table at the very end. When I brought up our frustrations, she dismissed my concerns and nonchalantly said "oh it's the holiday weekend" as the reason for our sub-optimal service. This is certainly a cop out, considering we saw 3 tables near us get seated and served before we even ordered. One waitress even commented "Oh they put y'all in the dark, forgotten corner" and laughed. Even when presented an out as I asked the owner if they were understaffed as that could be a reasonable explanation, she said no. All in all, it is a shame the way this place is being run and the food is truly something special. Hopefully the owner sees this review and takes it under advisement.

This restaurant is a bit of a staple to Dickson Street in Fayetteville and is one of the few places…read morewhere you can sit down to a white tablecloth brunch and have choices like different types of eggs Benedict. Everything at our table was well executed, and they had a fantastic selection of light brunch cocktails. IMHO, one thing keeps this from being a top notch dining experience, primarily that they are consistently unaccommodating to any modification request. Perfect example on this day - one diner ordered eggs over medium, bacon, and toast and since it wasn't on the menu as a specific plate offering, it was delivered on 3 small side plates, making it difficult to eat. Another diner asked for eggs cooked medium on a Benedict rather than the soft poached eggs, and the server reluctantly said that the kitchen would undoubtedly not accommodate that change. We're not talking about some goofy request like "can I have the onion soup but hold the onions", or some high-end chef selecting every component of a dish and you want it with fries and ranch. They are cooking eggs to order for everyone, but won't sub out what they cooked for another person at this same table in something that has to be assembled immediately before serving anyway. It's just goofy. Oh - and for the love of all things middle eastern, please don't call the side tabbouleh! It in no way resembles the specific recipe for parsley salad with bulgar wheat - it's a romaine based salad. Just call it what it is.
