I have a pair of secondhand navy blue boots I bought maybe four years ago, and I love the fit and feel, but they were pretty beaten up. I stopped wearing them to meetings and events. I brought them to Napoleon to see if they could be saved, and he got them back to nearly brand new! OUTSTANDING craftsmanship, good prices, and also just an extremely kind person. Will be back (and will keep hunting secondhand scores...) I wish I'd taken before and after photos. Next time. read more

Need your shoes shined or repaired? Need a zipper fixed? Napoleon is your guy! Conveniently located right off of Nicollet Mall in the Westin Hotel, Napoleon provides outstanding customer service and quality work. He's so friendly and accommodating. For instance, I had a pair of beat up red cowboy boots I wanted to have repaired for a friend's party. Napoleon was awesome about meeting the deadline so I could show off his excellent work at the party. The boots are beautiful and look like new! His pricing is also very reasonable. I will definitely be bringing my other shoes to Napoleon to fix up! read more

Best shoe repair in the twin cities!!!. I read the previous reviews and had three pairs of shoes replaced with soles and heels. They were expensive shoes that were neglected for some time. Picked them up in about a week- they looked brand new/ perfect. Comparably price with other repair shops in the area. Highly recommended. No worries. Bill read more

A few months ago, I ruined my brand new suede leather jacket and discovered that my suitcase was not even close to watertight during a rainy weekend in Berlin. I'd been dreading taking it to someone to look at for fear the would tell me it would never recover. Then I found Napoleon. He didn't set my expectations high, saying he could get the water stain out, but matching the color after would be difficult. Figuring it couldn't get any worse, and thankful for his honesty, I left the jacket with him and kept my fingers crossed. Two days later, he dropped it off for me since it wasn't quite ready for me to pick up when I stopped by, and charged me less since it wasn't there right when I walked over. It's in beautiful condition again, and my fiancee couldn't tell where the water stain had been in the first place. He did a beautiful job with it, and provided excellent service for a very good price. We'll definitely be using him again for any other leather or shoe cleaning/repair. Note that his space in 401 W A St is currently under construction, and he isn't there every day. Call him in advance to check when he'll be around, and note that he's currently operating on the third floor out of Suite 355 (I think) M-W-F. read more

I have taken 3 pairs of men's dress shoes to Napoleon for re-heeling/shine and have been very pleased with the results. Napoleon is a person who takes great pride in his work and the results are outstanding. A great place to take your shoes if you work downtown. The prices may seem a bit expensive but when I considered how much a good pair of shoes is and that a good repair usually lasts longer than the original, it made sense to fix the shoes rather than buy a new pair. Also, when walking back to my office with my great looking shoes in a plastic bag, I was getting checked out by lots of women. Of course, they were probably looking at the great pair of shoes! My eyes are up here! read more

OK ladies, this guy does wonders for shoes. He has fixed soles, heels and redyed my scuffed and fading boots, including my black Uggs. Here is the list of shoes he fixed: *Jessica Simpson tall black boots (scuffed on the toe) *Black Uggs (totally faded, they look brand new again) *Nine West Pumps (scuffed on the toe) *Steve Madden Country Boots (they got hammered at stage coach) not to mention he has fixed the tips on the heels of a bunch of my pumps and even some soles. OK so I know I am hard on shoes and that is why I am so happy I found Napoleon. Every women obsessed with shoes, needs a good shoe repair. Napoleon is a funny guy who is passionate about shoes and his work. Added bonus, his prices are great. If you don't work or live downtown, this guy is worth the trip. read more

Five stars, without any hesitation or question. The American miracle in shoe repair. Napoleon restored seven pairs of my wife's shoes, seven shoes. They look monumental . She was / is very happy, all smiles. Eight year old shoes reborn. I choose Napoleon's because of what he said . I will return because if his results and customer service "quality is never an accident" read more

Napoleon did an excellent job on four pairs of very worn down shoes! He saved some of my favorite shoes. Napoleon is incredibly flexible and will keep in contact to make sure that your shoes come out perfectly. He was even able to deliver them to me! I'd highly recommend taking any shoes or purses to Napoleon! read more

Napoleon saved my favorite pair of boots. I've had them for almost 8 years and I've done a lot of damage to them over the years. Recently, I caused even more damage when I foolishly tried to use super glue to hold down the heel. The glue was seeping out the sides causing carpet fibers to stick to the sides. Needless to say it wasn't a pretty sight. I had an upcoming trip and needed those boots fixed FAST! Napoleon was like a little super hero flying in to rescue my dying heels and just in the nick of time!!! His speed and craftsmanship where beyond my expectations and I will surely use his services in the future. read more

If you've been looking for that old-school business where the owner takes personal pride in the quality of his work, has excellent customer service, and reasonable prices, then look no further than Napoleon. His work is the best I've seen, and he promptly responds to phone or text messages. That and the fact he's conveniently located downtown means I'll be a regular of his. I dropped off 8 pairs of shoes, and between the new heels and the fresh polish, they appear brand new! My only regret is that I waited so long. read more

I had Napoleon repair a pair of high heels and a pair of boots for me. The heels needed the "top lift" replaced. (I had to Google that - it's basically the part of the skinny heel that touches the ground.) I had worn mine down to nothing. I had also worn down the heel of the boots through the rubber. I was dismayed since these were expensive boots and I had barely worn them. Napoleon did great repairs, and he also suggested a few other improvements to extend the life of the shoes - I told him that I was happy to make any upgrades as long as we could keep the total cost under $75. I both dropped off and picked up my shoes from the Cleaner's he directed me to - they were friendly and helpful. I never met Napoleon, but I communicated with him via phone and text, and that worked very well! The shoes look great, and after wearing the boots for a bit, they are not showing wear like they did with the original heel. read more

The best! I had a vintage coach bag, that the inside packet was separating from the bag, Napoleon fixed the bag and cleaned it, the bag was gorgeous when he was done. My uggs had salt stains from wearing them back east, again he cleaned them and removed the stains, they were ready for the garbage until I found Napoleon. The look like new again. Definitely recommend Napoleon. He is also very kind, really good personality! read more

I concur "Old-School business where the owner takes personal pride in the quality of his work, excellent customers service, and reasonable prices." Well said Wayne... I brought my leather briefcase to Napoleon with a broken strap. The turnaround time was prompt, and the bag is repaired beautifully, and restored looking new. I am very happy I ran across Napoleon's services. read more

Napoleon is great. He took my 7 year old military style dress shoes with dry rot on the sole and made them look better than new with vibram soles. He polished them up to a high gloss. I love the way they look and feel. Sure I could have thrown them away and bought a new pair for $100 or so dollars but he does a great job he hooked up those shoes. Also I had a very expensive motorcycle jacket DIANESE that I was very disappointed with that faded from a nice matte black leather to gray after almost a year of riding. So I brought it to home and he cleaned it up and got it back to black. I am very happy with the way it turned out. $500 dollar jacket saved. All and all he does excellent work. He follows up with me promptly and is a friendly guy. I plan on using him more in the future for his many services that he offers. read more

I love Napolean's Shoe Shine Repair! I've been to this business about 5 times now and been extremely happy with the results. He has replaced the heels on my stilettos, cleaned my faded boots and made them look brand new, conditioned my leather boots, removed scuffs, cleaned and conditioned my purses, stretched the calves on brand new knee high boots, you name it! Also, he has come to my building as I work downtown, and picked up shoes and dropped them off. His prices are incredibly fair too, especially for the quality of work that he does. He definitely puts a lot of care and thought into his work. Plus, he is a really funny guy with great energy, he always gets a laugh out of me. Ladies, look no further for all your show and purse needs! read more

Napoleon is a great guy - very attentive to your needs. He also is very text savvy - making drop off and pick up super easy to coordinate with him. Just make sure you call before you show up. I went without calling and he wasn't there- BUT the jeweler next door offered to give my boots to him when he came to the office next. It worked out pretty good! And my boots look SICK! Also make sure you know where you're going before just gps'ing down there... The parking structure is on the east side of the building - don't expect to find street parking. Also make sure you go to the third floor and down the long corridor to find his office suite. read more

Napolean is as good as it gets. Never in my life did I have the courage to go to a Shoe Repair Shop. Inherited a pair of genuine Spanish Leather Boot heels that simply needed new soles, heel caps, and a lot of TLC. They were dry because they were almost 30 yrs old. He not only was able to do it within the same week, but was able to do a second pair I had, also. They turned out more beautiful than I could have ever asked for. They are better than ever. Gorgeous, like new- completely unbelievable. Good Location in a big Building at Columbia Center- bottom floor. This is most definitely a man that loves his work. It shows in his final product. Have no doubt in my mind that I will be coming back to him whenever I have a problem. Word to the wise, he does Mary Jane soles, Heels, Boots, Tennis Shoes, Sandals, just about anything including Purses, Zippers, Bags, and so much more. You won't regret going to him. Very hard worker. Can't get any better than Napolean. Thanks a bunch. read more

I've been going to Napoleon on and off for a couple of years. He is great with heels but isn't as good or on top of some of the other stuff. Last year I used another shoe repair service and they didn't even fix my shoes! I took them to Napoleon and he was able to repair one pair but not the other ~ I definitely did not fault Napoleon for that. Napoleon is pleasant to work with. He may not remember your name but he will remember YOU. When he can, and if you are not located too far from his shop, he will even pick up and deliver! That is a bonus for sure. If you are looking for someone reliable to handle your shoe repair, Napoleon is your man. I have no experience with the shoe shine part of his business. read more

This guy is AWESOME!!!! My aunt is a long time railroad employee and he has fixed and shined all her work shoes and boots so great that they look brand new. He also fixes her fanny packs and purses for her. He is so amazing that my favorite pair of Jessica Simpson heels have taken a journey all the way from Rancho Cucamonga to San Diego to be fixed. Can't wait to get them back! His pricing is very reasonable and his work is impeccable. Quality you will not find anywhere else. read more

Napolean knows what he is doing!
