My 2025 Palisade Calligraphy was approaching 8K miles and in need of an oil change to remain in compliance with the extended warranty I purchased at the time I bought it. With Napleton being slightly closer to my home and better traffic conditions than the dealership I bought it at, I called Napleton to see about getting the work done there. Napleton's service dept. said I could schedule the oil change as soon as the next day and it could be done in approximately 2-3 hours allowing me to take my laptop to do work on while I waited. But when it came to the diagnostic tests, there was a 10-day waiting list. I could except waiting 10-days so I suggested a date beyond the 10-day wait to schedule it. However, the service rep. I was speaking to on the phone said that it couldn't be scheduled until my vehicle was on their lot. Are you kidding? I'm suppose to park my vehicle on their lot to sit idle for 10-days, depriving me of it's use while it's waiting to be serviced. With no offer of a loaner vehicle during the 10 day wait, I was blown away by such a ridiculous and unacceptable arrangement. If all Hyundai dealerships were going to be like this, it would be my first reason for being sorry I bought my Hyundai Palisade and a big enough one to consider selling it and buying a vehicle from a different manufacturer to avoid the situation every time I needed any kind of diagnostic work. So to determine that I called the dealer I bought it from to learn it's not a Hyundai issue. It's a dealership issue. My purchasing dealership could schedule the service in 8 days immediately and my vehicle wouldn't need to be there until the day of service. Giving me the option of dropping it off and picking it up before they closed that evening or waiting 3-5 hours for the work to be done, including the oil change. So, I still love my Hyundai Palisade. It's not a universal Hyundai problem. It's a problem with the service dept. at the Napleton dealership in the St. Louis, MO metro area. And the dealership that can do it right is Suntrup Hyundai South in the St Louis metro area. I hope this prevents anyone from experiencing a nightmare at Napleton. Love thy neighbor. Would NOT recommend going here to purchase a car. I purchased a card in March of 2025 with a trade in for one of the Specials they were running. When closing the finance manager was upset because I had asked to roll my sales taxes into the loan, but said he would add it in In my oversight, I did not realize that the taxes had NOT been applied to my loan over a year later when I went to renew my tags. They also did not complete the paperwork properly so when I finally titled my car this week, I had to go back to the Dealership to have the form signed. When talking to one of sales people that I needed help with completing the form as I just needed a signifier verifying my trade in from 2025, and I wanted to file a complain given how my sale was handled. The manager in the office at 8:30 am on May 6, came out and said that I would need to wait an hour for a business manager to get in to discuss. This man was UNWILLING to listen to the story and hear my complaint trying to just say my complaint is not valid. I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing your vehicle somewhere else. Wish this was the only. What I've experience I've had, but I've been talked down to during the purchase as well as services on my car. read more

Back again to post a final review after giving the dealership a chance to do things better: This is still the worst dealership I have ever dealt with as far as communication and customer service goes. Sure they will call and bug the crap out of you (to try to sell you a new car) the minute your vehicle hits the lot for an oil change but if you need something... crickets! It is every dept (obviously except sales) finance and especially service. Every time I have tried to contact someone it has been the same issue- messages left and never a return phone call. Not a fan of how they treat their customers and I will not be purchasing another vehicle from this location. Here we go again! I have not been happy with Napelton Hyundai since I leased my vehicle in June of last year. My vehicle has an intermittant problem with the dashboard. I took the vehicle in on Monday July 6th at 8 am. Today is Thursday, I had to call to find out the status of my vehicle. Nobody called any of the days to give me an update. When I called Wednesday, they said they were going through the first steps of diagnosis. Remind you that the vehicle had been there since Monday, and they had the codes for the problem last week. Today, as I tried to call and find out the status, I kept getting the service dept. voicemail. I called back six times to get through to service. I then tried calling the general manager, his voicemail was full. I had to have the phone attendant to hand deliver a message back to the service department. It took them 3 days to unravel and correct a coaxal cord that had already been replaced for the same problem that was not resolved. The communication at this dealership is very poor. I am glad they did not have to take a major component apart. I probably would not have gotten my car back for a month. In addition, they don't have loaner cars. So I did not know how long my car would be in service and when trying to talk with someone, it seemed impossible. I have written other reviews about my experience here. Each time I have not been happy with the customer service. I have contacted Hyundai Corporate office to file a complaint. My wife and a friend bought a Hyundai as well, but did not buy and do not get their vehicles serviced with Napelton because of the problems I have had. My sister is looking for a vehicle, but does not want to buy Hyundai because of the problems I've had with the product and with the dealership. I recommend she gets a Lincoln or Ford. When my lease is up, that may be where I am going. Again, word of mouth is more dangerous than a Bill Board! read more

This place is literally the worst. I will spare the dramatic details, but I was aggressively taken advantage of in October 2023 and ended up with a car I don't like in a loan that includes a warranty they said I could cancel but never actually followed through on. Now I am thousands underwater on the loan and can't trade it in without losing tons of money because of this platinum warranty they wouldn't let me cancel. Mind you, I tried for MONTHS to get this rectified. The guy I was talking with last year just stopped responding in June after giving me the runaround. This is AFTER dealing with the GM at the time (who eventually was fired along with the guy who did my shady sales deal) to get another thing taken off that I was bullied into and did not need since there's already a service agreement with new Hyundais. I have since tried to work with others there to get out of this car and into one I actually like, and no one gives a straight answer or responded when I just said OK BUT CANCEL THIS WARRANTY. I got my last 3 vehicles here but 2/3 of the deals were shady and aggressive; I am not sure why I gave them another chance. I have many emails and texts saved with receipts for all the shady stuff, and filed a claim with the MO AG office and with Hyundai. Nothing ever came of any of it. Mind you I was a loyal customer with literally perfect credit score. I will never go to a dealership without my husband again, which makes me extra mad because as a woman I feel like I should be able to get a decent deal. I'm still and again mad about it a year and a half later because my husband just had the most smooth car-buying process (a Honda) and I basically can never get out of this car that makes my back hurt because of depreciation and this GD platinum warranty I financed $2500 for and don't want or need. At this moment my car is at Napleton for repairs. I've taken it there before, but I don't know what changed. The car was towed there on Friday July 18. I spoke with someone on Tuesday, July 22 about my car. Today is July 30. I get put on hold every time I call until it goes to voicemail. I leave a message each time asking for a call back. So far I have NEVER reached a live person in the service department (since July 22), NOR has anyone ever called me back with an update. I assume they'll still do a good job on the repairs. read more

Brought in my daughter's car for oil change and diagnostic service. They found an issue so we made an appointment to bring it back. After arriving for the appointment they told me they were so busy that they will not be able to service our vehicle until the next day. Next day comes around and I get a text that the part they had set aside for our service was used by someone else so now it will be another day until we get our car. Dont get your service done here!!! came in for a tpms problem.. reset it...didn't even fix the problem and didn't drive it to show the tire pressures... light is back on.... left my engine air filter box opened just messy waste of 5 hours for nothing.. never going here ever again and never will recommend this place to anyone.. update.... they had the car 4 days could not diagnose the problem I had the car for 10 minutes and because my radar was plugged in to the fast charger port it was causing communication issues with the tire readings lmao... so needless to say i fixed it and they couldn't even figure it out .....please do not take your car here they never updated me about the car I had to call to get a update smh. The experience here when we bought the car a year ago was good. But now that things are going wrong with the vehicle supposedly Hyundai has changed there policies and they don't give out loaner cars to anyone until the car has had diagnostic test ran. Well when they're so far behind and say sorry we can't give a loaner and it won't have the diagnostic test for up too 3 days, that's bs. How are people supposed to work to pay the bill on the car if you keep my car for 3 days and not give me a loaner vehicle. Bad business. If I could give 0 stars I would. I don't know where to start with this dealership. It has been a pure nightmare and my only next steps are to report Napleton Hyundai to the BBB and the Hyundai corporate. Our salesmen was Jessie, at first he was very nice and caring. He did everything to make sure we purchased a car and made a deal for a new palisade. My first red flag was when I went into financing to finish up the paperwork, the financial advisor printed out the paperwork, and was eager to started signing the paperwork. When I asked him what the interest rate was I was told a certain percent which was rather high but I was okay thinking it was my only option until I asked was there any other banks that came back with an approval.... Two more banks approved the loan with a significantly lower interest rate and if I had not asked I would not even know about it. But that was okay too. After doing the walk around we noticed there was hail damage and the door handle got dinged while the car went to the back to get washed before we took it home. It was the chrome on the door handle and since we did purchase it new I was a little upset and asked if the hail could be fixed and the door handle can be fixed as well. Jessie reassured me at least ten times he will take care of if. At the time of the appointment when I had the hail damage repaired I asked Jessie when they'll fix my door handle, he said he'll check with service to order a new one and call me. Two weeks passed I heard nothing so I called him to check in, he said he has to call service and see how long it will take to order. I call again two weeks after this (1 month total) and he got so upset with me about me asking if my door handle is order and when I could replace it he hung up. I let it go and thought maybe he was having a bad day, I texted him again two weeks later only to find out he BLOCKED my number and my husband's phone numbers ( I will attach all screenshots of conversations) It's been three months now, I called the dealership as my last shot to get this resolved and get my door handle repaired. I asked to speak to a manager this time - I was transfer to Tony. I told him the whole situation and all he had to say was "well was it in the written agreement" - you'd think to have some sympathy for a repeated customer purchasing new cars from you dealership for the disaster your salesmen caused but nope. I told him I wasn't asked about the hail damage in any written form either but they told me to bring in the car and they fixed it, his reply "well why didn't you fix your door handle than too".... I was left speechless. If Jessie ordered the door handle I would've made an appointment to get the door handle replaced but WOW. I will say when I brought the car in for the hail damage, the service advisors were amazing. To add on, the day I came in for hail damage, Jessie previously said to tell him when I come in so he can top off my gas for me (this was for a previous issue when they messed up my title and I had to come back to the dealership twice). Anyway I finished with hail damage and Jessie took my car to get gas, it took about 20 minutes for a gas station that's up the street. The great thing about Hyundai is now they have an app and you can track your car through your phone, so the entire time I'm waiting for my car so I can leave the dealership I am watching my car driving in circles down the block. I don't know the reason he would take my car and drive it around the neighborhood but all I can say is DO NOT go to this dealership if it's the last thing you do, Jessie is their number one salesmen and all he cares about is getting a check on the board that he sold the car, he'll make you feel great, like he truly cares until those papers are signed and the deal is done you can kiss that goodbye. Another plus is the sales managers all sit in this glassed office behind all of the salesmen's desk and you can see and HEAR them making all types of nasty and derogatory comments. There's so much more I could say but I'll leave it at that. read more

Was told I could get in a new lease with a new vehicle for the same amount I'm paying a month. I talked to two people there before heading in to confirm they could do this. Fast forward, I'm sitting at the dealership and they're suddenly wanting me to put $4k down and be +$60 a month more than my current payment. Waste of my time driving in there. The worst is Gary (mentioned here already in negative reviews) shaking my hand when I got there tell me "we'll take care of you". GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. It all starts at the top. A business can't be better than its leaders, and these people are no exception. (See my screenshots of a quick Google News search about the Napletons.) There are a few friendly people here, but most seem to hate their jobs and customers. (The sales team has always been friendly. Not true of the service folks.) They say they've called you when they haven't. They'll try to charge you for work you don't need. (Two locations, multiple times recommended work that we found out wasn't needed after getting second opinions.) They've made us wait all day for simple oil changes and more often than not have terribly poor customer service in the service department. On a lighter note, our last visit was comical. We dropped our car off for recall work. They had our car all day, said they'd called us when they hadn't, and when we picked the car up all they did was hand us a (useless) steering wheel club. And they couldn't have done that in 5 minutes instead of keeping our car all day?? In comparison, every Lou Fusz location we've ever used with multiple vehicles over 30 years has treated us like valued customers and we've felt like family. Unlike Napleton, Lou Fusz has consistently provided fast, friendly service and thorough, great work. Like I said, it all starts at the top. read more

Car shopping? Car shopping! Hubby agreed to an offer sheet with a nice salesman for a 2021 Ford Explorer. He arrived later in the day and financing paperwork couldn't be completed at that time. He gave them money down and they gave him the car. Went to complete paperwork Christmas Eve and informed by finance manager they were closing early. He had driven over 30 miles to complete the process and upon arrival found out they were closing early. He returned the following Monday and the finance manager presented terms that were different than offer sheet presented by the salesperson. (Difference of $9K). They wanted $3K for an extended warranty for vehicle with only 14k miles?? Finance manager got frustrated when hubby requested original terms be restored. Also. FM ranted about the "inconvenience" it was to correct the documents. He sent my hubby (all 6'5" 315 pounds ) to the waiting room. Much like a child being sentenced to the principals office. Instead, my hubby went directly to the sales manager and told the SM how he was disrespected by the FM. We are pretty sure the FM ended up being scolded by the sales manager. The next interaction between the hubby and the FM was quite different! He apologized profusely for his disrespectful behavior to his customer. We won't have any future interactions with this dealership. Hubby (so far) is satisfied with the car. read more

I'll first note, I did not buy a car from here. With the experience I had at Napleton Hyundai while shopping for new cars, I absolutely would never buy a car here. We popped in on a Saturday, as I'd seen a car on auto trader I was interested in. I was greeted by Thomas, and I informed him I was out looking at a few different cars and had interest in a genesis on their lot. He asked me if I'd have a trade in, I told him yes. I handed him my keys, so they could put a value on my trade in if I should purchase. This was my first mistake. At this point, I even made mention to my girlfriend its a typical practice to get your keys, so they can hold you hostage. I will note, that this was at a time most dealerships in the area were experiencing their computer systems being down. So, SOME of the time spent here (them locating the car, the keys etc) was due to that. That said, the whole experience could have been MUCH quicker and painless. I was told that there was an issue with the car I was interested in, and we rode on a golf cart to go see it. One of the wheels on the car was dented, and they were waiting on a replacement wheel. For this reason, I was told I would be unable to test drive the car as it was a safety concern. I was told, they could let me test drive a different one..to which I agreed. We went back inside, and after a 20 minute wait he came back and handed me the keys to the car with the dented wheel? I was confused at this point, but took it for a drive. I actually liked the car quite a bit, but as previously mentioned I was still shopping. It was my intent when I walked in, that Id be going to other dealerships to look at other cars. Including a car identical to the one I drove at Napleton, other than it was a newer body style and a smaller engine. When I got back to the dealer, I was told there was "great news" they could save me time and let me test drive there newer model with the smaller engine THERE. I responded I would pass, as I was eager to leave and go on with my day. At this point I was told they were still looking at my car (at this point, it had to have been over an hour/hour and a half from the time I walked in). That said I agreed, Id take it down the road for just a few minutes. When I came back, I was approached by a finance manager. I don't remember his name, but his vibe was 100% the sleezy used car salesman. He asked what we needed to do to get me in the first car I drove. This was off-putting 1. because Id already told them I was shopping around, and 2. they couldnt even sell me the car until the wheel came in! I felt like I was held hostage at this dealer. Having been to other dealers for test drives, and in and out within 30-45 mins. The worst part came on the follow up calls I received from Thomas, the salesman. He called me Monday, and we finally touched base on Tuesday. I told him that I was definitely pretty interested in the car, but made mention its hard to pull the trigger on a car I cant even buy (because of the damaged wheel). I had also voiced concern about wanting to see the car detailed, because the chrome trim around the windows was decently tarnished looking and I wanted to make sure it cleaned up. Finally, I made mention of where I was looking to be price wise. I was told "the best deal we can get you, is when you're here ready to buy". I told him that if they got the car into detail, Id come take a look at it again and maybe we'd talk. To give me a shout when that happened, or they got the new wheel in. No sooner than we got off the phone, I got a text message of the price of the car and what they'd offered me trade in saying to come in today or tomorrow to talk more. Did he completely ignore what I told him about getting the car detailed first? Clearly, just trying to get me back to the dealer to try to further hold me hostage, and try to strong arm me into a sale. I did not like this at all, and at this point made the decision unless I heard the car had been detailed for me to see/the wheel came in/both, I'd have no further communication. I ended up buying a car elsewhere. From showing up, to ending the test drive was maybe 40 mins. The salesman was happy to work me a deal via phone calls/texts. And it was a wonderful experience. Take note Napleton Hyundai, the days of being sleezy/pushy car salesman are over. You're going to lose more business if you continue this. read more

The financial transaction part of the deal is definitely needs improvement . I traded my 2021 GV80 into them as a trade on a new vehicle. I explained to them since the vehicle had been purchased out of state that I did not own the title. I have been consistently following up with them to ensure I don't become delinquent on my previously owned vehicle. My credit rating is a priority to me and my family. That's why this should be handled as expeditiously as possible by Napleton. I even explained to them that all that was needed was to get in contact with the lien holder for a payoff so they can transfer the ownership to Napleton. That was as of 3 weeks ago. Plus when you call their main office most often no one answers the phone. In this day and age it should never take this long to negotiate a payoff a vehicle when used as a trade. Particularly when it's owned by a reputable company. read more

I came in for some recommended services based on mileage. I was tile it would take a couple hours and it was ready as promised. I was able to apply a coupon to save on the service visit. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained the waiting area could use a deep clean though. Overall I was satisfied with my experience and will use them again. read more

If you like to have your vehicle sit for a month or more and not get updates about what is going on, while being charged 300 bucks for a part you can by at Autozone for $50, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay away! My daughters car has been there since January 10th. The first advisor, Megan Pope, apparently was fired but no one picked up her tickets, so the car sat. They refuse to communicate apparently except by text, no one was monitoring the texts for that advisor either. When I finally got a live person, 2+ weeks later, they told me Megan was the person to talk to and transferred me.. they did not even know she was gone. The I get a call back days later from a Rick? I think, who feeds me BS. Apparently they have to replace a valve stem, at a cost of $105, before they can fix the engine issues? Seriously, I can have the valve stem replaced at NTB for $30. They want 3x the amount for the actually needed part than I would pay at Autozone if I could replace it myself. Labor rates are also outrageous compared to other shops.. I will repeat this story to any and all if I hear them looking to do business at this hole. read more

I booked appt as "waiting". I said but I scheduled an appt. He said they were double booking and my appt just gave me a slot to bring in my car in. 2.5 hours later I got my car for pretty much an oil change that I made an appt for. Purchased my vehicle in January and had no issues with the buying process. Unfortunately, I got into an accident in May and my car was totaled. The issue is that I have an extended warranty on the car that I cancelled a couple months ago at the dealership, and am still waiting for it to be finalized and refunded so that I can purchase a new car. It is impossible to get a hold of anyone when I call the dealership. I always get a voicemail which never gets returned. Any time I go up to the dealership, I have not been able to discuss this with a member of the finance team despite my request to speak with them. I do not recommend purchasing a vehicle here unless you are okay with not being able to speak to anyone if you have an issue. read more

The only reason for the 1 star is for our sales associate. Once his part was completed and I went financing everything went downhill. First, Kyle was the financing gentlemen who helped (so called) me. He started by apologizing as he had just moved to Missouri and drove all night to make it to work. When explaining the warranty, he stated it was only going to $600 give or take a bit. The oil change warranty sounded great. It was explained I could o to any Hyundai dealership. My 1st oil change appt,found out this information was wrong. You have to go to the location you bought the vehicle. Once received all my paperwork, I was charge $2k for warranties from 3 different companies. There was slight front bumper damage that I mentioned to the financing manager, he stated they would not fix it but we agreed to a $200 credit for the minor repair, which I have not received. I have contacted the General Manager several times and he assured me he would get the warranty manager to call and discuss all this with me, which has never happened either. The experience or lack there of was terrible. I will NEVER go back to a Hyundai dealership and I will express all my concerns to anyone who wants to buy from one of these dealerships.
