But O'Reilly Auto Parts hits more than the others, so I usually start there. The staff is generally helpful, and know how to use the system to locate parts. Not so much in the other stores. It gets annoying to hear "I don't know" from behind the parts counter. And their prices are much better than the local stealerships.

They gave me the phone no. to another place "South Bountiful Auto Parts", Had a nice conversation with them and let then know that one of their competitors sent me to them. They had the radio I needed for $35 plus some shipping. Anywhere else that I looked they were$180 plus. PT Cruisers were a popular car 2000-2010 (1.3 million sold) but hard to find odd "stuff" for now. Arrive in the time we agreed to and works as it is supposed to. They told me it could not be repaired and I would have to replace it with a new tire that would cost $380. He also tried to convince me that another tire needed to be replaced as well. I got a quote from Tesla for a new tire and it would be $300 so I simply asked if they could just price match (I believed that my tire would need to be replaced). They could not match it so I went to Tesla. Tesla REPAIRED my tire immediately and I told them that Foothill Tire and Auto Service just told me I needed to get it replaced. They assured me that the nail placement provides an easy repair and even the other tire definitely does not need to be repaired. They either were trying to scam/trick me or they are NOT knowledgeable at all.. either one is terrible. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Our old car basically died--transmission gone, catalytic converter done converting, transfer case done transferring. The repair bill was going to be $17,000, and with my hubby leaving for Brazil, we were on a serious time crunch. We searched every car on Facebook, KSL, and Copilot and found a couple in SLC. The first dealership was... let's just say "creative with the truth." They didn't even have the car they advertised and tried to sell us something we didn't want. Hard pass. Then we went to **Mark Miller Toyota**, fully expecting more dealership nonsense. But shockingly--they actually had the car we came to see. We test‑drove it, told them we had others to look at, and they said, "Okay, come back if you don't find what you're looking for." No pressure. No guilt. No weird sales tactics. Just honest people. We did come back. And we did buy the car. We love the car and it was a very fair price. The next day, after Hyrum left, I noticed a crack in the door. They told me to bring it in right away. They didn't want our first experience to be a bad one they would fix it!! We took it to our personal mechanic (4 seasons Auto in PG LOVE THEM also!) to checked it out first and said the car was in "mint condition"--nothing wrong mechanically. So we brought it in for a repair, Mark Miller gave us the choice of any car on their list as a loner while they fixed the car. I told him to just give me what ever. "What ever" turned out to be hybrid fancy 2026 Toyota Camry! While driving the loaner, I got a rock chip... which turned into a crack. I panicked. They said, "Don't worry about it--we'll take care of it." And they did! NO charge to us!! Our salesman was fantastic explained warranties without pushing anything. It wasn't awkward to say no. No upselling. No pressure. No "let me go talk to my manager" theatrics. After dealing with a scammy dealership earlier that day, Mark Miller Toyota felt like a breath of fresh air. If I ever need another car, I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat and I'd send my friend there too.

My family and I have been patronizing Master AutoTech (formerly Master Muffler) since about…read more1975...back when I talked my Dad into getting dual exhausts on our '72 Buick Centurion 455-4 sedan at their 3865 S State Street location...and I've patronized them ever since. I had my '96 Bronco taken care of at the Sandy Location many times, and when I bought my 2006 Mazda 6 sedan, I was referred to Phil Baillargeon out in WVC. I patronized Phil there for many years, and then followed him to the 6700 S State Location when he moved there. Finally, when Phil transferred to this Main Street location downtown, I started to see him there for my Utah State emissions inspection, and have come back each year since. I do so because Phil is a car-guy, and understands how to fix them...and as he's done on my Mazda sedan many times, performed repairs to make sure it runs clean and passes emissions each year without fail. He's direct, honest, and handles the inspections like a pro. And again, just today, exhibited his patience with me and my 19 year old car...and got it to pass the emissions inspection. Just a great mechanic that knows/loves cars and takes care of his customers. I will continue to patronize Master AutoTech and specifically support Phil and his team of mechanics for years to come. They were able to do it by the next morning with the type of tire that I wanted, Michelin. Not a common tire in this valley. They were very friendly and clean and polite. I would trust them. They had cokes and water and capsule coffee in the waiting room. I left it overnight and they took care of. It. Had it all fixed by the next morning. The price did not seem exorbitant. I'm definitely going back for some other work. They had it done work for me before, I'm always afraid when I give good reviews to good businesses because I'm afraid they'll be too busy next time I come back.
