There were a few tables occupied when I arrived after work and one was an 8-top of what appeared to be high schoolers but they were well behaved. I went to the counter and the very friendly young man was more than happy to assist with ordering. Since it was my first time here, I decided to go with the Big Back Box which has a little of everything. It has an Original Chicken sandwich, some chicken nuggets, a small portion of Mac and cheese, and a quarter of a Belgian waffle. They had a handwritten sign saying that everything is made to order so it would be between 10 and 15 minutes to get my food. As I was waiting, my eyes noticed that they have Tots! So I had to go back and order some of those, too. 20 minutes later my food was happily brought to where I was sitting and I drove home. I really enjoyed the food. The chicken was crunchy, the waffle had powdered sugar and a hint of cinnamon, and I really liked the sandwich with the buttered roll, lettuce (could have added more on there) and pickle. The Mac and cheese was made with shell noodles and was just ok for me. I did not like the sauce the meal/tots came with. The tots were crunchy and so many in a box. I really overdid it with them. About $20 or so for the Box and Tots. Food was quite good, service on the spot, and except for eating too much, I was very pleased. I'd come back.

Another customer told us he was Guatemalan and lived in Philadelphia but would come here after work for the fried chicken. He said he knew we were gringos because we ordered the grilled chicken. They all have quality sweet or hot sausage and cheesesteak sandwiches at reasonable prices. Hot dogs are also on the menu along with cold drinks and a full breakfast sandwich list. I have had their sweet sausage, onions and peppers at each shop, and find them consistently good. This time I also ordered a hot dog (yellow mustard, relish & chopped onion), so I could broaden my Rocco's experience. Service was prompt and friendly. I enjoyed watching the cook cut the right length of the coiled sausage, slide it into the torpedo roll and then push in the sautéed onion and green pepper. Same approach to the hot dog using the shortie bun. This is all takeout, so I didn't start consuming until I was sitting at my kitchen table. The sausage was as solid as expected; a well butchered tube of quality meat and spices. Not as sure about the hot dog, which was a small disappointment. It was room temperature rather than heated thoroughly on the grill. It seemed that it had been sitting on an unheated part of the larger steel, and used in the sandwich without checking on its readiness. That oversight is easily corrected if supervision is attentive. Minus one Star because it wasn't.
