Nando's at Stockport's Peel Centre is a surprisingly good branch, especially compared to many other branches of Nando's I've visited in retail park style locations which have been rather poor including those in Manchester Fort and Middlebrook, Bolton. This is the only Nando's store in Stockport, however, it is a short bus ride or walk from the train station and town centre.
The service was pretty fast, although when I visited it wasn't busy. The two staff members I dealt with seemed helpful and friendly, the manager could have been more attentive to help as after I asked a manager to take my order, he went away for a few minutes when all he had to do was swipe his card and let the cooking team know that an allergy order was coming through, he did seem friendly however so I'm guessing he wasn't paying attention and didn't hear even though I did ask the staff member next to him.
They have a coca-cola freestyle machine here which is pretty cool, this isn't something Nando's locations usually have although sadly it was only limited to mainly Coca Cola and Sprite, and a limited amount of flavourings, it wasn't the full machine with a great selection including Iced Teas which you can get at Five Guys, Nando's, however, do sell their own Iced Tea brand in a can but it's more expensive and isn't as good. I did also get tap water and the water didn't come out cold, it was a little warm - I'm not sure if this was down to a fault with the machine as it was the same water machine like any other Nando's locations which generally does come out cold.
My food was cooked rather well, I ordered my usual order from Nando's "Medium Chicken Butterfly with two portions of Peri Chips", one thing I like about Nando's is every location from Manchester to London charges the same prices (Starbucks take note!), I presume this only excludes their locations in airports like Gatwick and motorway services, yet still you expect to pay more at travel locations anyway,
Despite being small overall, the restauraunt also did have a good feel to it and I did enjoy my meal too, which concluded an overall very good experience and it is probably in the top three Nando's stores I've visited alongside Manchester Spinningfields and Birmingham Grand Central.
