A really nice, enjoyable Nando's in Brighton Marina. The staff were friendly and the restaurant larger than others. It was busy but we got seated immediately (on bank holiday Monday).
The food was pretty decent. We ordered a Fino Platter between two which ended up being a huge portion (a whole chicken and 4 sides) but we managed. The chicken was good (if you add some sauce) and the sides decent as well. I especially liked the corn.
Nando's could never be a 5-start restaurant the way it's run in my opinion. People love it but you need to order at the till, collect your own cutlery and perhaps plates and fill your own drinks. I guess that's kind of the appeal - no one else has a similar system in the U.K. I've also noticed that staff ask every table how they're doing in a very methodical way (the have a marker on each table that indicates whether or not they've asked). I get that this makes the chain more efficient but a personal touch would be nice. read more
