I've eaten at the snack bar before and that was tasty. I ate upstairs at the restaurant and I wasn't very impressed. For one they sat my giant party at two small patio tables outside (a bit uncomfortable) and the prices were a little high. Nice ambiance with a friendly staff. Decent beers on tap. I ordered the baked scallops and was disappointed. It's supposed to be buttered herb scallops with a light breadcrumb topping. The dish was very dry but came with plenty of scallops. There were no butter or herbs, just scallops covered in loose breadcrumbs. For $28 it should have been much better. read more

Great view of the harbor & the lobster ravioli is amazing along with the clam chowder.the first two days I was in town, I think I ate both items three times. The bartenders are good peeps too. read more

Fried Calamari, Onion Rings, Greek Salad, New England Clam Chowder, ALL AMAZING!! You have your choice to sit outside and order your food at the bar or they have the restaurant upstairs. Very friendly! My mother in law had the " bad Diana summers" beer and it was a hit. Just don't know if it's seasonal or not. read more

Fantastic experience here. I ordered lobster bisque and seafood casserole, and both were lovely dishes. The bisque was one of the best I've had - creamy, moderate amount of spices and it preserved the natural flavor of the lobster. The casserole is something I wish I could have everyday. For all those seafood lovers up and down the New England Atlantic coast, come and indulge yourself in some super fresh clams and lobster while beholding a beautiful view of Oaks Bluff Marina! If you've never been to Martha's Vineyard during the summer, hold on to your hats because the entire island atmosphere is just bursting alive with fun.... and Nancy's is seriously packed. Perhaps the only con to this restaurant is their eclectic customer volume, which can result in a long wait...but the food is worth it. For those folks who plan to visit, Nancy's is just a few feet from the HighLine Ferry; slips are also available for a dock and dine option, although reservations should be made well in advance. Just around the corner from Nancy's you will find some cool gift stores and homemade ice-cream shops. read more

Great location, but the food was a bit disappointing. I was excited about being back in New England and getting some of the great local seafood. But it tasted like the oil they cooked the food in was bad. Other than that, it was all good, but they definitely need to work on that. read more

Nancy's was recommended by the boys across the street running the bike rental shop who said the Dirty Banana was the best drink around. We went with a round of that and a small order of fried scallops, and a plate of fried clam strips. An hour later looking out over the harbor and we were happy bellied with our first taste of Martha's Vineyard. The prices were a bit higher for the very casual outdoor accommodations but the portions and quality brought it all in line. Will be back for the same, and other tasty menu items. read more

After 3 hours car ride and 2 hours ferry ride and we were so hungry and dying for some seafood feast. Nancy's is conveniently located on the dock of Oak Bluff and the restaurant was packed! We ordered lobster rolls, clam chowder and lobster chowder, scallops, crab cake, oysters and mussels (Yes we were very hungry, thank u very much). The mussels are soo good, so does the soup. After appetizers I was full and only ate half of my lobster roll. The lobsters roll has generous portion of lobster and we are all very satisfied at the end. It was a bit chilly on the day so we bundle up, yet we enjoy the sun and seating outside with the crowd. It was a nice dining experiences and I recommended for anyone who enjoy seafood, just as much as we do. read more

We went to Nancy's Restaurant on the upper level and had impeccable service after having a poor experience at a nearby restaurant. My group was in a rush on a busy Saturday night, yet we were seated promptly and our waiters was more than accommodating. Looking back, we should have gone downstairs to the snack bar for some fried seafood since we were in a casual mood, but the fried fish sandwich and crab cake sandwich were delicious. We stayed clear from other items due to the prices, but the entrees seem fresh and delicious as well. read more

Best lobster rolls! Perfectly toasted bun and super fresh. Far from fancy, but that's the point.

$14.50 gives you a small lobster roll with cole slaw and a side. For the money and the view a great value.

It's pretty much a routine every time I'm on the island. First night on arrival, head to Nancy's for the fried seafood stand and the dirty banana!!! But the five stars goes out to the dirty banana for sure!!! Deliciously sweet, and the banana compliments the chocolate so well!! Definitely alcoholic but the drink is blended so perfectly and proportioned such that nothing over powers the other. I also love that the bar tender tastes the mixture with a new straw each time he makes a batch to see if it's missing anything. And shakin' his hips to the music. read more

Every time I visit Martha's Vineyard, I go straight to Donovans! Ill either try the Dirty Banana or a Rum Punch! This time around I tried the Zombie. After one sip, I thought I was a Zombie. lol. We were here last week and like others went based upon overall reviews. This place maybe good for a lunch outside grabbing some quick seafood and sandwich while enjoying the view of the pier. Unfortunately our experience was for dinner which was a huge disappointment. The service was ok but food was horrible, we started out with fried calamari which was drenched in an Asian sweet an sour sauce that just killed the dish. The calamari was dipped in a casual onion ring batter which was also low quality. Our dinner was the lobster mac and cheese and a chicken dish. This was based upon a limited selection which was another disappointment. The food was large in portion but extremely rich and dense with minimal lobster all cheese not what I expected for 32.00 bucks. The chicken was average at best not a good dish. Overall bad food dinner experience would not return. read more

Can't beat fresh seafood right on the water. I had the clams. Fresh and cooked perfectly. My wife's fried fish was flakey and just as tasty. My daughter had the calamari. Not a rubbery one on the plate which is not usually the case. Portions were large wth crispy fries. Will definitely be back next time we visit the Vineyard! read more

This place was great. All the people there were really nice. We went there for drinks with some friends. Bartender made a joke about one of my friends spilling a "Dirty Banana" on my other friend. He also handed me an actual screwdriver when I asked for a Screwdriver. Nancy's a great place to go with some friends for a night to watch the boats on the pier, have a few girly drinks, or even just have a low key night. Nancy's is for all kinds of summer time fun. Definitely going back for those Dirty Banana's, which are above all, the best drink out of that tiny little shack bar. read more

Had a nice meal with good service and a cool view of the harbor. There were some flaws within the execution as I was served a red wine in a chilled glass. My wife had a nice salad and I had a seared salmon fillet which was sold as being served with crispy skin. Once again, I was informed by yet another waitress that the chef highly recommends that the salmon be cooked to medium rare. Of course, the salmon was cooked to medium bordering on medium well and did not come with the crispy skin. I enjoyed the dish but I get a kick out of restaurants that try to flaunt big boy execution and fail to back it up. Prices were decent and although it was crowded you can tell that this place packs in the tourists and with that be adivsed that a whole lot of drinking is going on during the summer season! read more

Went on a Thursday in August around 6. We were seated upstairs/indoors right away. The host who seated us was not friendly, but our waitress Lillian was great. We had baked scallops and lobster ravioli. Overall, food was decent, but waaaay overpriced. I can get the same meal at any other restaurant for a lot less money. read more

Been coming here every summer for over 10 years without complaint, but won't be going back anytime soon as the manager and hostess need a change up. I eat out a lot and have traveled the world and have never experienced the level of rude service as I did here. I was meeting up with 5 of my old friends here who arrived an hour ahead of me. They asked for a table for 6 but explained the 6th would come later. The hostess told them they don't seat unless all members of the party are present. Understandable and my friends stated if I wasn't there soon, they would order me a salad. My friends called me and explained the situation. An hour later, they had just finished their food and were working on their drinks, when I arrived and found the salad waiting for me at my seat. As we were catching up and discussing our next move, several restaurant staff swarmed the table and gave frustrated looks to me as I quickly ate my salad. The manager then approached our table and said that people were waiting for our table and I would have to eat at the sun soaked railing (alone) to finish my meal! I counted at least 4 open tables around me. I explained I just would need a few more minutes to eat my meal but he did not care and lectured me for "cutting line." Mind you my friends had just finished their food and drinks and had spent well over $200 on their meal. Apparently, a few more minutes were not available and they needed us to leave. Left my salad on the table. I get Nancy's is busy but being eyeballed by several wait staff while I woof down a salad and then being asked to move is a first. read more

Might have been best meal I had in Oak Bluffs. A good marker of a bar is if they know how to make a Negroni- the bartender nailed it. The frozen pina colada's had my wife and daughter oooohing for more. Never had one like it- smooth and creamy. Steamers were large and clean and mussels were very flavorful. My fish and chips was quite good. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, a great experience. read more

Always a fun crowd, always blenders whizzing, if you are hungry we like the quesadillas with fries and apps here. Calorie count has to allow for one celebratory cocktail at Nancy's: most of us go for the mudslides (some prefer the delicious pina colada) but the view is hands down beautiful and we enjoy planning our MV itinerary from Nancy's top deck frozen drinks in hand. Stars are for location. Food is not worst the price. Ordered an appetizer for my one year old nephew so that he wouldn't get reckless. It never came. 3 out of our 5 meals came. Followed by the kids meal ten minutes later. Followed by the last meal about 30 minutes later once we all had finished. There is something on the menu for everyone and the staff is super friendly. There are a lot of seating options too - indoor, outdoor, upstairs, downstairs. The prices are a bit expensive, so I took away a star for that. I'm happy I tried it. read more

We visited Nancy's at the end of our stay.. after dinner my husband and I went there for a drink...our waiter from the start didn't seem happy that we were only having a drink. We would have had another drink, but he was no where to be found. Finally he came with out check..we told him how unhappy he were with his service and he just shrugged his shoulders...not a good ending to our trip! read more
