Would rate this 3.5 stars if I could but rounding down because of last experience. The food is good, I would say this is one of the better restaurants in town. My problem is mainly the pricing, I just don't feel the food is worth the price you pay. However they have a good craft beer list and it's always got some live music going on. read more

We stopped in for an early dinner on our cross country trip. I had the fish special (a sweet and sour cod) and my husband had the steak frites. You guys are great! Always lovely atmosphere and great service when I go here. It's the place to go with your friends, don't settle for anything less in this town (cough! Earls). Very impressed that they know what "vegan" is! And want to make sure you're having a great time. Just tell the server and they are so accommodating! I have ordered quinoa/spinach/butternut squash salad, which is delicious btw, and the server did a phenomenal job ensuring that it was tasty. He even suggested hummus and yam fries instead of just the regular ketchup. Such a stand out guy! Wish I recalled his name and could give a proper shout out. Service was quick too. Honestly go here if you want phenomenal service and great food. And if you're a veg head like me, or have some in your circle, you're going to be happily surprised by the food. Having eaten here a few times, it's definitely a unique place. They have a large selection of bottled craft beers that is constantly being switched out. The pricing for beer is a little on the high side, but nothing crazy. Food is excellent and there are many very interesting dishes that make you want to come back to try them all. The serving sizes are usually quite large. Service is decent, not always super friendly, however it's reasonably fast and by no means rude. The only real issue is that it is very busy almost every night and the small size can make it feel pretty claustrophobic. This is a really fun and happening place - the assortment of different beers and drinks is amazing - the food was crazy good . I had the barbecue burger with fries and delicious gravy and my friend the blue cheese burger with truffle fries . Hands down the best burger I've had in a long time ! read more

Omg... Don't even get me started on this place!!! First off, I was visiting from Seattle and Nancy O's made me feel right at home. The atmosphere was very chill especially with all the string lights and the servers wearing casual clothes instead of uniforms. It felt very home-y. It was happy hour and I ordered the Long Island Iced Tea... Best drink EVER. Might've ordered a couple of those lol. For my entree I ordered Steak Frites and let me tell you... It was the best steak I've ever had in my life, no lie. I've tried many steaks and this is by far THE BEST!!! Hopefully I can visit PG again in the summer just to eat here!! read more

Happy hour!! Chicken tenders (tender and spiced just right not your usual bar crap) and poutine special is perfect and leaves lots of room for a Manhattan and a "black eyed bourbon," their newest concoction from Ian and Yousra!!! visiting a friend who lives in PG and she brought us here for a saturday morning brunch. there was so much on the menu, i found it difficult to choose what i wanted, but settled in the end for salmon eggs benedict. delicious! the service was fast and efficient, and the ambience was great. when we arrived it was probably around 10am and there was only one other table in, but by the time we left, the place was really filling up. this was an awesome local restaurant to take us to, and i'm sure if i lived in PG, it would be one i would return to time and time again! read more

First time having a meal at this restaurant and let's just say I am never coming back. The food was just okay. The service itself was the worst ever. Probably because the workers/servers would rather drink and chat in the back than fill a cup of water. Not to mention my partner had to go up to these people to pay the bill, they didn't even bother bringing the bill to us. Also they didn't even bring us our left over food to go. The food was sitting in the container on the counter and the servers just stood and stared. Funny how the only Asian customers at this restaurant get the worst service. Very, very disappointed in the Chicken and Waffles! I don't mind paying good $ for quality, but 2 Eggo type, frozen, tough (sure not Belgium style) flat waffles, tablespoon of coleslaw, a neck, wing, small leg and I think a little thigh with that good slice of bacon, for $22!! Alpine pub had more coleslaw, a plump chicken breast, bacon and strawberries for around $16. The waffle was thick and also a Belgium. Took my friends to Nancy Os, was a bit embarrassing. read more

This really is my first thought when it comes to eatery's in the Prince George area. It doesn't matter the occasion or who I'm with - Nancy o's is my go to. I miss the live music, good people, and delicious food now that I've moved out of town, but I still visit whenever possible. The atmosphere is fantastic and rustic. I have been there several times now and every time I go, I am always blown away. To begin, their pulled pork sandwich is out of this world, the flavor is amazing, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. They have a portobello mushroom sandwich, which is just a huge portabello marinated in this amazing sauce and it is the focal point of the sandwich; I like meat in a sandwich but this is a definite exception to my rule, wow best describes it. The other sandwich is the chicken and Brie, once again, wow! Even their Caesar and house salads r absolutely amazing! I can't give Nancy O's enough praise for their food. I don't know the hype about this place? The bar is quite impressive looking but the menu is subpar and the food wasn't that good. Very very home cooked vibe. Had the Brie chicken sandwich and it was missing something that's for sure, just plain. The cream of vegetable soup was a little mealy and bad vegetable choices. An oasis. I've been coming here for years because my mother still lives in PG. I chose to live in NYC 17 years ago and never looked back. In my opinion this is the only place I've seen that gets it. Very unimpressed. While the food is good, the prices are awfully high, (over $3 for a tiny juice??) and terrible customer service, and wait times. And don't bother trying to call ahead to order and then pick up food (even if it's just a soup, honestly?) If they are busy they don't want your business. Being in a wheelchair, I don't get to go see the whole of some places because of accessibility. Having heard about this place from many people, I decided I needed to try it, so I got a friend to go and we drove there. We got there, happy it was wheelchair accessible and all on one floor. We went around 2:00 to avoid the rush. Great service and the waitresses were amazing and accommodated me with extra room to 'maneuver' around. Decor was nice, from the menus to the atmosphere. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with yam fries. My friend ordered a chicken-something sandwich with a nice salad. It was delicious. Beyond delicious. The BBQ sauce used on this sandwhich mocks the very existence of other BBQ sauces. I wanted more, but was so full I couldn't take another bite.
