My child was enrolled from March 24, 2025 to September 5, 2025. During that five month time frame…read moremy child had 7 different teachers. At that turnover rate, my child had more teachers than classmates. There was one teacher who was there four out of the five month stint that my child and me absolutely loved! We were there solely because of her. When she resigned, I was truly heartbroken and knew that our experience there would not be the same in her absence. That very same day I put my child back on the waitlist at another facility. It was great Kiddie Kove welcomed and accepted all kids. From my observations they adhered to the teacher to student required ratio. An area of improvement is that if there is a special needs student in a classroom, then there should be an additional teacher in the classroom. I witnessed countless times where a teacher would spend significant time attempting to redirect a child, and another child would get hurt or briefly get into mischief. On 9/3/25 I witnessed this constraint and a child fell twice over a toy vacuum while the teacher was changing a diaper and verbally trying to redirect a special needs child with no success. Exactly 30mins after witnessing this, I received a call stating my child had fell and had a cut lip. The daycare center provides a clean environment. It is in a relatively newly built church that was not specifically designed for a daycare. Because of this, there are no preventative security controls to prevent random people from entering the building during pick up and drop off times. I had a very detailed conversation with the directors about this and was told 'that is a valid concern, but the Elders of the church won't agree to proposed solutions'. I do want to note that the director did suggest me unenrolling my child as a first option. The directors decided to have someone sit on the inside near the entry door; however in my opinion this still would not prevent unauthorized access into the building nor prevent them for accessing the classrooms. More than half of the time when someone was suppose to be sitting near the door, they weren't there or halfway down the hall on the phone or reading a book. Daily schedules included tv time, story time, art projects, music, limited outdoor/gym play, and basic introduction to numbers and letters. There was a $50 charge for Spanish learning which entailed a pre-recorded video being played of a teacher teaching Spanish. Personally, I didn't understand why it was charged separately; if a pre-recorded video was the approach to teach Spanish then I'm not understanding how it differs from other You-Tube videos that could be played teaching Spanish. It was also advertised on their website that extra-curricular activities included dance and martial arts, these activities did not occur during our enrollment period. There is no consistent framework of criteria communicated to parents regarding milestones a child must meet to advance to the next level up classroom. My experience was that my child was in the younger-ones classroom and I had to specifically request my child be moved to the older-ones class (my child was 19 months at the time). During our five months of enrollment, there were no conference or forums that allowed routine direct interactions between parents and directors. The directors did not appear to be there daily as I may have seen them once or twice a month. When I brought this to their attention towards the end of my enrollment period they asked what would I suggest. In response, I suggested that it would be nice if they were there during one of the 2hr pickup or drop-off window. Their response was 'That's not going to happen. I have other things to do.' Their uniforms are $24 per shirt. This is an insane markup when polo shirts are less than $5. My child was 19 months at the time, so the shirts weren't even the right size. My opinion is that the uniform requirement was simply a money-grab tactic based on the ridiculous mark-up and the fact that the official school year had already been in session a full month so why wasn't it communicated to all parents before the school year began. My overall review of Kiddie Kove is this daycare fits the capitalistic mold that many of the for-profit daycares in South Fulton where directors exploit the necessity of childcare and exploit the labor of teachers. Based on all the facts mentioned, I am convinced the directors do not run the daycare based on genuine love for children but primarily the financial gain. The high turnover rate I witnessed at this facility has much accountability that should be acknowledged at the director level. Kiddie Kove has one of the highest tuition rates in the area. I have experienced a non-profit daycare with a tuition rate that is 27% lower, have more than adequate preventative security, longer operation hours, teacher longevity, directors who are ACTIVELY involved with all students DAILY, and much more.
