Such a charming little place! And I mean little. The restaraunt seats maybe 6 or 7 parties in one…read moreroom, with the open kitchen toward the back. The vintagey kitschy decor adds to the overall intimate atmopshere. The weekly-changing menu is focused on Italian with German and Mediterranean influences. Be sure to look at the chalkboards on the walls too. We almost missed these and ended up ordering exclusively from them. The truffle parmesan pasta was perfection - super thin pasta, creamy parmesan and LOADS of truffle shavings. The swordfish pasta tasted amazing as well and had great flavors - eggplant, garlic, orange zest, thyme. Both dishes felt so luxurious but were actually very affordable (€15ish each). Service was definitely on the slow side but it fit the vibe. Would be a great place for a special occassion! Bonus - online reservations available on their website.

It's just a very simple, inexpensive, GOOD Italian restaurant. The entire staff is Italian, which is always a good sign. Some years back, we used to start our weekend here with a nice dinner…read more We especially enjoy the relaxed atmosphere while being very busy and loud which is simply part of it. After coming back last weekend to meet friends here (with a reservation, which worked and I believe helps but would not count 100% on it), that it did not change too much in service, maybe slightly in quality. Also looking at the other evaluations, it matches with my impression that the service depends maybe a bit too much on the waiter/ day sometimes. We still come back everytime we visit Düsseldorf and enjoy the very good food and freshness as well as the very unique atmosphere which I hardly found at other (Italian) restaurants so far.

This place is rather unlucky because last week I went to one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to (in Germany) so far. I had a seafood salad and carpaccio. The former was good, but had very little fish and maybe too much dressing, the latter was also good, but nothing to go crazy about. Food came relatively fast, which was really good because we were aiming on a quick dinner. Addio! Mucho love, D.
