We did our own picking of fruits, which were peaches and golden plums. Flowers, pumpkins and pears can also be picked up. The market itself has a full variety of BC fruits and vegetables, along with products made locally. Paynter's market is one of MANY orchards, farms and markets in the Okanagan valley which sells produce!! The ambiance is very nice and warm. It's nice to go to an orchard and pick your own fruits and vegetables, which can of course be eaten fresh, but used for other prepared dishes and preserves. Service at Paynter's is very professional and friendly, and very knowledgeable of local produce and items.

This place has humerous and happy staff along with incredibly reasonable prices. You will find fruit, veggies, canned goods, baked items, and ice-cream! We decided to have a small treat before supper and asked for a jr. cone for $1.50 and she was not shy about piling that ice-cream mountain high! It was delicious! They also have a customer washroom, play area outside for children, and a cute little goat named Jimmy who waits for you to sneak him some fresh grass through the cage. I definitley recommend stopping in to check this place out! Nice way to support the locals.

It had everything, soap, fruits & veggies, plants for you to grow, handmade clothes, coffee, honey, and cards. You have to turn into where the Kal Tire Centre is, and continue driving and you'll get to the parking lot. Lots of parking! I walked away with some coffee, local artist greeting cards, and some soap from a really nice couple! I would definitely come out to this Farmer's Market regularly if I lived in Vernon, as having a mix of vendors and not just food/fruits/veggies was really nice to support all types of local vendors.

We were the only two who had signed up for the tour, so were given a real personalized treatment, which was extra special. The tour started out on the back of Gene Covert's truck and though it was a cold day, it was bearable... And even more so when we got to meet the herd of beautiful llamas on the property. We stopped by the cab sauv grapes and tasted a few right off the vine, while learning about the history of the property. Our next stop was the blackberry and strawberry bushes where we were given a to-go box to fill with these sweet, organic, off-the-vine treats. And, lastly, the tour ended with a charcuterie board-paired with wine. We tried 9 kinds of wine and really enjoyed them all! This should be on everyone's list of things to do while in Oliver, BC!

They have a few activities; corn maze (wear rubber boots it gets muddy!), gourd sling shot and hayrides. Admission to the farm is free but they charge for the activities, 5 people for $30. They also sell pumpkins and similar items. We usually spend about 1.5- 2 hrs here. The hayrides are great! They are not super short as some can be and we all like seeing the horses and farm. It is a small, family run business and as such things can can change on short notice so I'd advise you to check their FB page before you go for updated hours and information. The staff were friendly, kind and genuinely seemed to want us to have a nice time.
