Very knowledgeable and he definitely cares about his patients and staff. I'm amazed at the amount of procedures that they can do in that small office. They have 2 different Ultrasound Techs that do readings for vascular and heart. They also have more teams like one to do the "Stress" tests and another to do the test that also checks your heart under stress but the stress is induced by chemicals. I've had experiences with other Cardiologists who took care of my parents and in law's. Dr. Wong is one of the Best. . Highly recommended. .

She's very informative and takes her time making sure I understood her. Yes I love asking questions. She share an office with Dr Jodi which is amazing. Even if I live on the other side of the island I would still drive there and not complain how far it is. Which I do with my other appts with pcp, obgyn, dentist and etc which are only 15-25 mins away lol. Besides I love the scenic views going there. Who runs up and down that stairs to the office...? Me!!! Lol. I would totally recommend Dr Markarian. She's the first Dr that understands Keto alongside with My keto doc Jodi!

Helpful, understanding, and best of all - you can reach them when you need them. That's important for me, in a day and age when we lack family doctors and sent to the urgent care or ER.

I was very fortunate when I went to the ER, Dr. Oyama just so happened to be there to check me out. Backing up a little. What lead me to going to the ER? Long story short, I was helping a friend move a washing machine up some massive amount of stairs and I blacked out. My primary doctor said to go to the ER right away. I did, CT Scan, MRI, X-ray, etc, etc, etc. Those all came back showing I was in pretty good shape. This is where Dr. Oyama expertise comes in. He ordered my blood to be tested a couple of times. He noticed the troponin levels kept going up which is a sign of a heart attack. He said the only way to really know what's going on is to do an angiogram the following day which we did and he found one of my valves was 100% and another one 95% blocked. He ended up putting a Stent in and the rest is history. He and my primary doctor put me on a heart healthy diet. I can't say I'm enjoying it but I'm enjoying being 6 feet above ground and not under. I recommend seeing Dr. Oyama if you are looking for a good cardiologist that is thorough because he is the man or shall I say doctor.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Neal Shikuma for the medical care and support he…read morehas provided me for the last 25 years and continues to provide me to this very day as my Cardiologist. I first met Dr. Shikuma back in December of 1994 when I was brought into St. Francis West's hospital emergency room via ambulance after collapsing and falling unconscious at the beach on the west side of Oahu. Dr. Shikuma was the attending Cardiologist on duty and immediately began to treat me. Dr. Shikuma stabilized me and restored my heart to a normal rhythm. After my recovery from this incident I personally sought out Dr. Shikuma to be my Cardiologist. Dr. Shikuma treated me for the next 5 years to try to discover what caused this incident. He fought for me for those 5 years when others refused to believe his findings that eventually led to me having open heart surgery in 1999 to correct an artery that had reduced blood flow to my heart and was causing me to experience heart attack symptoms and ruining my quality of life. I could barely get out of bed most days but he never gave up and would not take no for an answer. Shortly after the open heart surgery I developed SVT (Supra Ventricular Tachycardia) where my heartbeat would go from normal to over 200 beats per minute without warning. Dr. Shikuma tirelessly researched for the latest medicinal and surgical techniques available at the time to correct the problem. In 2000 he referred me for a cardiac catheter ablation which was successful albeit at the loss of the entire right side of my heart's electrical system due to the location of the offending tissue which had to be burned and by no fault of the doctor. Not too long after that surgery I developed PAC's (Premature Atrial Contractions) which basically destroyed my quality of life. At one point while wearing a monitor for 24 hours over 20,000 irregular heartbeats were recorded. Dr. Shikuma again went on the offensive and endlessly searched for a cure for me and eventually referred me to an electrophysiology specialist in California. The first ablation procedure corrected the problem for only a very short time, so Dr. Shikuma sent me back again. The second ablation lasted for approximately 6 months and the symptoms returned. By 2012 it had gotten so bad that I myself asked Dr. Shikuma to burn out my heart's natural electrical system and install a pacemaker just so I could have a normal heartbeat. Dr. Shikuma convinced me to wait a little while longer and kept me on medication to stabilize my cardiac rhythm to give him time to once again go on the offensive and search for a cure. Within a month or so during a follow up visit, Dr. Shikuma told me that he had discussed my case with a colleague of his who is an electrophysiologist in California and sent me to see him. I had a 4th ablation procedure done which by the Grace of God and the unrelenting efforts by Dr. Shikuma as well as Dr. Patrawala has been successful to this day! I Thank The Lord Jesus Christ my God for placing Dr. Shikuma in the right place at the right time and for blessing him with the medical knowledge, the unrelenting pursuit to be the best Cardiologist possible, and for his compassion he possesses for his patients. To anyone in need of cardiac care I recommend you seek out Dr. Neal Shikuma. Doc, I am forever grateful! Thomas

If you're living with hip pain and wondering whether surgery is worth it, I can honestly say I wish…read moreI had done it sooner. Dr. Paul Morton performed my anterior hip replacement, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning, he and his team were professional, reassuring, and incredibly skilled. My recovery has been remarkable. I went home the same day, was off my walker within a day and a half, off my cane after just five days, and was walking up and down stairs normally with both legs only 10 days after surgery--the first time I'd been able to do that in seven months. I know everyone's recovery is different, but my experience speaks volumes about the quality of Dr. Morton's work. The pain that had been limiting my life is gone, and I finally feel like I'm getting my life back. Looking back, my only regret is waiting so long to have the surgery. If you're dealing with ongoing hip pain, I highly recommend meeting with Dr. Morton. He gave me my mobility--and my quality of life--back, and I couldn't be more grateful.

In November 2025, I prepaid several thousand dollars for PRP injections, but after surgery the plan changed and the doctor agreed a refund was owed for injections not received. This was never disputed. Despite that, it took about six months of repeated calls, emails, and office visits to receive the refund. I was told multiple times that the refund had been processed or mailed when it had not. I am sharing this so patients can be aware of the refund process before paying large amounts upfront. Although the Dr. blamed a bad billing company, the correspondence I had was always with his office staff who were communicating with him.
