I recently was scheduled for back surgery; however, my "White Coat Syndrome" response as I was wheeled into the operating room caused my blood pressure to spike so high that the surgery could not be performed. I called Dr. Markarian's office and despite her busy schedule, I received an immediate appointment. The alternative medication se prescribed has quickly returned my blood pressure to normal levels. She will now work with me to develop a strategy to address the "White Coat Syndrome" problems that canceled my surgery. They seemed to have a good relationship with each other. Located at Pali Momi Medical Center, Dr. Chang's office was clean and spacious! The staff were very friendly and efficient! The EEG test took about half an hour in one room. We waited in for a bit, had vital signs measured, went to an exam room, then Dr. Chang explained the results. Overall, this was a pleasant experience! Dr. Chang and his staff are knowledgeable, kind, and thorough! We'll be back in four months! Note: parking in the structure is free for the first hour.
