Normally, I'd been very pleased with Nails Time. However; at my last visit (more than a year ago), my technician did not spray or wipe down her work station, despite my being able to see debris on it. As a result, I contracted a nail fungus, which caused me to lose my thumbnail, and has been very difficult to get rid of. I will add that also, she was wearing short shorts that revealed way too much of her bottom...not at all professional looking. read more

I booked a mani for both my friend and I. I explained I just wanted my cuticles cleaned up. My friend just wanted the same and no polish. They said it comes with polish so I chose a color from the palette they brought to the table. When done they charged me almost $20 more saying I ordered the Gel. When talking with friends they all laughed and said it had happened to them too. It's their thing, they bring you the color palette of gel polish and you have to ask to see regular polish. Live and learn I guess but I won't support them again. The polish also didn't go back to my cuticle so looks grown out in days and I am told if I take off the polish my nails will be really week so I have to let them grow out. read more

I recently moved to Okotoks and really needed to find a good salon for UV Gels. I started asking random strangers after seeing their nails and several directed me to Nails Time - 2 techs recommended are Moon or Sandy for gels. I got in next day with Moon - she was very efficient and did a great job; they are nicely thin and not "lumpy" - for those who have thick, lumpy gels you know what I mean. I also had a pedi with Kitt - great pedi with a hot stone leg/foot massage done in 50 minutes. I have been to many spas and have never seen a "drying" station. Clever idea to free up the pedi chairs for more customers as it was busy! Also a good sign when its so busy. I would recommend Nails Time for UV gels and for pedis. read more

So here's the thing, every nail salon is really hit or miss depending on who you get and when you go. I have had really decent experiences here with one nail tech but then when my friend went to here she had a horrid hack job of an acrylic nail set. Moon ( nail tech) is so far the most consistent but even last time added surprise sparkles to my nails and didn't even ask if I wanted them. Another time I asked to get my acrylic nails removed and instead I got the paint colour buffed off and the nails reshaped, she said okay good but nothing had happened the acrylic nails were very much on my hands. Ahwell it's an okay place very clean and big but I could recommend other places in okotoks. read more

We went here a couple weeks ago while family was down. They were able to accommodate four of us getting pedicures at the same time and still had extra chairs for walk ins. We each had a paraffin pedicure, and let me tell you, its so worth the $45! It probably wasn't the best pedicure I've received in terms of the pumice job, but let me tell you: their hot stone calf massage TOTALLY makes up for it! I'm not sure if you get the hot stone with a regular pedicure, but I'd recommend it - it was fantastic! The girl that painted my nails up sold me ($5 for 2 nails) on some cute nail art that has held together really nicely - complete with a tacky (but cute) little rhinestone for the centre of a flower. I was so impressed with my pedi that I went back later in the day for a manicure. The manicure ($15 for regular) was also good, no complaints really. They up sold me on the 'Gelish' nail polish, which seems like the same materials and process when getting gel nails without the fake nail bit. The Gelish was really glossy, and I liked the how it was immediately hard, and made my nails so strong. The polish lasted until my nails were growing out, which was much sooner than the 21 days they say the Gelish lasts. I ended up removing them after a week and a half, which makes it unlikely that I'd pay the extra $15 for it again. Also, there were limited colors for the gelish polish (only 65 colors). Also to note, for our pedi, each set of utensils came from a sealed package and I saw a mini autoclave which they use to sterilize stainless steel utensils. I have been going to Nails Time since February of 2017 and have had a great experience every time. The staff are professional, polite and friendly. The salon is clean and bright and one of the busiest salons I have every been to. (A busy salon is a good sign!) I get so many compliments on my nails which are always beautiful. Best nail salon in Okotoks! The staff are friendly and accommodating. They'll accept walk-ins but appointments are highly recommended to avoid disappointment. I've been going to Nails Time since they opened and have always had a great experience. My daughters love the kids pedicures too! Moon is my favourite technician, she pays great attention to detail and wants to make sure you're happy with your nails. Great place to relax and enjoy some 'me' time! read more

My mother lives in Okotoks so I checked Yelp to find a good place to take her to get her nails done for her Birthday. Nails Time appeared to have the best reviews overall. There are quite a few different technicians here so I understand that the service could change depending on the technician you end up with. I booked us both for a pedi and a shellac mani ($60 each). My technician was an older woman, my mother had a younger girl. The foot massage and pedicure was great, however, the shellac mani was terrible and I'll never go back because of it. The shaping of the nail was awful, I had pieces that would catch after the service was complete. They didn't understand what an 'almond' shape was. My mother's technician cut her one cuticle too close and left her bleeding. The actual shellac wasn't even applied fully down to the cuticle of my nails, or applied evenly. It was not done thick enough and I have weak nails so within the week, I had already broken a nail and the shellac had begun to come off. I ruined a few more nails shortly later that week because they would catch on something and pull. My mother had taken hers off by the end of the first week. I got mine redone the next week at my favourite place in Calgary for $20 LESS plus received a Christmas gift and $5 off my next visit. Needless to say, they received that back as a tip because I was so happy to have good and reliable service again. Thank goodness there are other options. My nails turned yellow after a few days and there were deep pits and grooves in them. When I contacted the owner he yelled at me and said it was my fault. He was very rude and refused to do anything about my nails. Stay away from this place. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I showed them pictures of what I wanted for my nails and stressed if you don't think you can do this let me know. They insisted they could and what I ended up getting was something that looked like a toddler had poured glitter on my nails. The other thing that was really upsetting is that it seemed like one lady was practicing on my nails and another came along and basically did all the filling over again. When I expressed how upset I was, the response was we can't always make it look like the picture. They didn't offer to comp anything. I ended up leaving almost in tears as I was getting my nails done for a very special occasion. I decided to go down the street and within 45 minutes they had my nails fixed and looking exactly like the picture...imagine that. What a waste of time and money. read more

I wasn't really impressed the first time I went to Nails Time in Okotoks, The staff was rude, hard to understand and when I would say "pardon me" the women would roll their eyes and continue talking amongst each other. But.....i decided to give them another chance...and yet again I was not impressed. Not only were they "hard" on my feet, the gentleman working with the ladies was speaking to my husband about how awful my feet were and that he should really spend the money and bring me back..the Ladies working on my feet was making obnoxious comments... NOT very professional! Then not only did I leave shaking my head, a week later I got 3 warts on my foot, weird considering I have never had any issues like tha with my feet! I saw a women get into a dirty tub that had just been used and NOT cleaned I told her and she walked out while the manager( I'm assuming) told me to mind my own business!
