First timer here at Tammy's and received a dip powder set. The nails did not last but 7 days. Will not return because of the quality of their product. Along with the gel pedi that I received and didn't ask for. Said I couldn't get the color in a non-gel color. The polish hardened and made my toe bleed within a few days. Overall - find another salon. read more

I decided to go to Nails by Tammy after reading so many good reviews for this place. The owner Tammy took care of me and did an amazing job doing my nails and made sure I was happy with it. they do the best nails in hurricane / teays valley! especially a lady named tiffany. she is an artist. the reason i am giving them a 4 star is because when making an appointment in advance, they don't take you in on time. i have had an appointment and waited 40minutes to 1 hour before i was taken in. that is very irritating. they also over charge for a fill in. i had a french tip fill in and it was $70+ not including the tip. read more

Consistent, good prices, and talented staff. I've been going here for the last 8 months. It's a 20 minute drive for me, but the consistency is worth it. I've always left with clean edges and good and sometimes outstanding work. The staff is friendly, and talented. Terrible Experience!! I came in asking for a simple gel manicure and I had a few acrylics left on. First of all, she ripped off my acrylics with a fake nail and ripped my real nail. I had told her that it was hurting and she kept doing it anyway. Then she did not even file my nails and put on my gel polish unevenly and messy. There is polish on my skin and my cuticles. She did not even clean up the polish or shape my nails at ALL. I was probably in the chair for 10 minutes and it was done horribly. I do NOT recommend!! read more

To be honest. Chris, Liz, and Ken are great! They do a great job. If you decide to go there ask for one of them. I've been going there for over a year now. Over the past 4months I've been requesting the same person. This evening I wanted to get my toes and nails done. The person I requested to do my nails was doing someone else's so they started my pedi first. The person I requested was done when I was just about done with my pedi instead of waiting for me to finished they moved someone ahead of me. I waited over an hour and half. They still weren't done. I ended up leaving. Another problem they have is that their prices are different with different techs. I've noticed this especially with pedicures. They need to be more consistent. I will not be going back there. Looking for a new nail salon now... read more

I went in for a mani-pedi and stood for about 4 minutes before being acknowledged and then was told to sit down and someone would be with me. Approximately 15 minutes later a guy came over and was listening to music and without stating what he was doing shoved my feet about. He then caused my great toe to bleed and shoved my foot back in the water after putting something from a bottle on them and it hurt and burnt. The man was rude and careless. When I asked him to be more gentle, he told me I was difficult and he was supposed to have left already. I told him it was not my fault he was still there and he rolled his eyes. Mani-pedi was marginal in quality and the treatment was rude. I will not be back and hope I do not get some horrible infection due to his lack of due diligence. read more

My usual nail shop was too busy when I needed my nails done so I decided to try out Nails by Tammy! I've heard good things and just wanted gel polish on my nails. I got there and immediately they got to work which was nice. However I was then informed that gel polish was $35! I've literally never seen anywhere charge more than $25 for gel and I didn't even have anything on my nails, so eventually the worker convinced me to go ahead and get dip polish instead because it was $40. I'd had dip before and wasn't a big fan but he assured me that it lasted much longer than gel. My nails looked pretty good right after but the woman who rung me up was so rude to me and didn't make eye contact or thank me for coming in at all. So here I am a week later, $45 down the drain after tip and my dip polish is peeling up like bad acrylics would!!! Personally I think that's ridiculous and even before when I had dip from my usual nail spot it lasted 2 and a half weeks. Don't recommend this place, they seem like they care much more about getting your money than doing a good job. read more
