The worst nail salon experience I have ever had. I have had…read morecountless manicures over the years, and nothing comes close to how awful this was. From the moment I sat down, the technician was rude, abrasive, and shockingly rough. She repeatedly stabbed, scraped, and dug into my cuticles with excessive force while I sat there visibly wincing in pain. Throughout the entire appointment she kept saying, "Too much cuticle. Too much cuticle. Too much cuticle," as though my cuticles were somehow the problem instead of the way she was treating my hands. What disturbed me even more was her hygiene. She used the same cuticle pusher/cleaning tool on every single finger after scraping away dead skin and cuticle, and never once wiped it off, disinfected it, or cleaned it between fingers. She simply moved from one finger to the next while debris was still on the tool!!! Gross!! I found that absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable in a salon. She also kept jerking my hands around instead of handling them carefully. Then, despite me never asking for shorter nails, she filed them down to nubs. To make matters worse, the gel manicure didn't even last a week. The strangest part was that after being rough and unpleasant throughout the entire appointment, she suddenly started rubbing my shoulders without asking. By that point I didn't want her touching me at all. It felt intrusive and completely inappropriate. The salon itself smelled unpleasant and did not feel particularly clean, which only added to my concerns after watching the way the tools were handled. I still tipped because I always tip, but I genuinely regret it. I left feeling tense, irritated, and honestly relieved that the appointment was over. A manicure is supposed to be relaxing. This felt painful, unsanitary, and completely unprofessional. I will never return, and I would strongly recommend going somewhere else.

Today they told me they are open at 11 but when I got there at 10:55 there were multiple ppl already in so I had to wait again which I always have to do. They are always overbooked and they can't manage. And then the job was so bad, and when I asked to redo because the gel polish was chipping she burnt my finger. They were so mad even though I gave them 20% tip that they burnt my finger. I think I have to see a doctor now since it's really burning and hurting, please be careful going there as they are so overbooked that they don't care if they burn you.

I recently visited again after a while (I'm in the city part time but it is not home anymore) and as always I have left pleased with my final result and the service they extended. I got this beautiful green color (I'm usually a basic color kind of girl like baby pink, white or just any nude color) but the colors I chose this time made me want to step out of my comfort zone more often and I have been really enjoying green this year, the color looks so much better in person and I'm proud my nails are long enough that I can now enjoy doing different styles with them. Tao Nail Studio ensures that their clients are always pleased with their results and take care of you! Please make sure to always bring cash as it is polite to tip in cash (better for the store and the employees overall). They also have Zelle & Venmo in case you want a quick checkout. For those looking for a cheap manicure/pedicure this is not the place for you, this is a spot where you are paying for exactly what you are paying and it is worth it. Your nails will last anywhere from two-three weeks if you take good care of them and the products are organic so the growth is chef's kiss.

The salon is small and owned by Momo, an incredible artist and funny, kind person. She hires carefully to make sure that clients always have a good experience - and I always have, everyone here is talented and expert at what they do (shoutout to Lydia and Shinne!). What I love and keeps me coming back are first, that they prioritize health of your natural nails - they use the best quality products and are careful with removal to make sure your nails are not damaged by the gel. Second, they take the time to consult with you on what you want based on any photos or ideas you have. They have a huge library of gel colors, glitter, chrome, cateye, etc. and tons of crystals and 3d add ons to choose from. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of work you receive, and with a little bit of care, my manicures always last sometimes for up to 5 weeks if I can't make it to my usual appointment. Can't recommend this place enough!

My nails came out nicely but I ended up finishing around 1:55 pm. Vibe: 3/5 This is a no frills type of place. Nothing special but also nothing bad. The place was very clean and bright. So, today I decided to stop by to get my eyebrows done and it was 10am and nobody was there so I allowed Mindy to do them, bad idea! Bad, bad, bad idea! She barely applied any glue. She didn't comb my eyebrows, she didn't trim my eyebrows, she didn't apply any oil/lotion after she finished and as if any of that wasn't bad enough, she was leaning into my face while she was waxing my eyebrows.
