Went in and requested acrylic removal, and hard gel polish manicure. I specified that I wanted hard gel as I have been growing my nails out and wanted to preserve my length. My natural nails were the entire length of my current acrylics. Instead of soaking my acrylics off (the way you are supposed to!!), he dremeled the edges, and then shoved a fresh nail tip under the edge and pryed the acrylics off. On my right hand, he RIPPED MY NAIL OFF. It bled and hurt badly. He put some blue liquid on it that stung. He then quickly cut the length off of all of the rest of my nails. Despite me having said I wanted to preserve my length. I'm assuming he was trying to match the length of the ripped nail. I have been growing my nails out for months. Months of work gone in seconds. It will be a miracle if my finger doesn't get infected. He then went to continue to work on my nails and I said I was done, I wanted to pay for the removal and leave. He insisted "no we can fix that!" Absolutely not. My finger is throbbing. The front desk tried to give me a bandaid. Like that would solve anything. They didn't make me pay so at least there is that. All of this to save the 15 minutes it would have taken to soak them off. I will never return. And I have been here many times. I have referred people here. Never again. read more

I am a Nail Tech in Hanover, not at this Salon. I had a client come in as she decided to change Nail salons since their prices here changed too much for her and got too expensive. After taking her acrylic off and seeing her natural nails I am APPALLED. They have damaged the heck out of her nails. This will take months of care and healing. They gave her major Ring of Fire. She said they rushed. They didn't just rush, they didn't even take care of her nails. Clearly seems like a place that cares more about money and getting a lot of clients then taking their time to actually do good. This is sad, she has actual dents and holes in her nails. Don't come here unless you want your nails damaged and with possible infection. Clearly not everyone there is licensed. And if they are even more sad. read more

This is the second time I got my nails done. They rushed both times but the second time my nails looked worse. He forgot a top coat on my thumb and now the paint is getting marks in it. My nails are crooked, I tried telling him but he didn't fix it and my paint for the French tips are crooked as well. read more

I had a deeply unsettling experience at this nail salon that I feel compelled to share. During my appointment, the nail technician accidentally cut his finger with the nail dremel and began bleeding--on my hands. I immediately asked him to put on gloves, not once, not twice, but three separate times. Despite this, he brushed off my concern and insisted he was fine. It wasn't until I firmly explained that my concern wasn't just for his safety but for mine--as I can become very ill from exposure--that he reluctantly put on a bandage. This would have solved my concern, however when he went to do my nail design he ripped it off and said he couldn't work with it on. He left it on the table next to me even after we were finished. My boyfriend had to ask him for the final time to put on a glove and he did, again, reluctantly. This was not just unprofessional; it was completely unacceptable from a hygiene and safety standpoint. Salons are supposed to follow strict sanitary protocols, and this experience showed a complete disregard for basic health precautions. I left feeling anxious and unsafe, and I will not be returning. They did not even give me a discount for the unprofessionalism. $110 for my nails. I hope the salon takes this seriously and ensures all staff follow proper health and safety practices to protect their clients. I've been going to Nail Studio for over two years now. Once a month, I get a regular pedicure ($35) and my nails with dip powder ($40). They always do a great job, and I show my gratitude with a generous tip. However, last time I was there, I was charged $45 for the dip. I asked if the prices had increased, and was told there is a $5 fee to remove old nails. Why have I not been charged this before? I don't get regular manicures because my nails are thin. Dip powder is the best way to keep my nails looking nice and growing longer. If this is a customary charge, I should have been informed in advance. Why isn't it listed on their website or in their shop? I am very disappointed with how they are doing business. I will not go back. It's not about the money, it's the principle. read more

Honestly the best manicure/pedicure I've ever had. My nails last an entire month. Their pedicure chairs are fancy and you can charger your phone. Everyone is so nice and offers refreshments when we get there. They can also do the super popular chrome nails and many awesome nail designs. I found Nail Studio Hanover online and saw that they provide lash extension services. I made my appointment on my way home and was able to get one for later that same day with Chloe. She was very pleasant and took her time even though it was close to closing time. Chloe did an amazing job with my lashes and I have been receiving compliments ever since. The lashes have lasted two weeks now. I will be back to get my nails done next as the store was clean and the staff were very accommodating and made me feel welcome. read more

I had a really great experience here. The man who did my nails was sweet and really paid attention to detail. I came in with tips and SNS nails (powder) and he took them off quickly and painlessly. I recently moved to the area and was searching for a new nail salon. I made an appointment here based on reviews. I have acrylic nails and use gel polish. Typically, to get my acrylics done and polished takes 1 hour. The person who did my nails never checked if they needed repairing or replacing. Just added an overlay of new acrylic. He worked so fast, I was done in 20 minutes! The nails weren't smooth, the polish has bumps in it, and the acrylics are separating after just 3 days. After drying my polish, he realized the edges of my nails weren't smooth and filed them, filing the polish off of the tips. After I got home, I had to file more of the sharp "burrs" off. read more

This is a very nice place with a very friendly staff. My only complaints are that I came here for an SNS manicure and they have about 10 options for colors and they are not my style whatsoever (very shimmery, dark colors, etc.). I ended up just doing a gel manicure and got a pedicure. The lady at the front desk said she would find a color for my toes that matches my nails and that I could go back and begin my pedicure. When she brought me the color, I was already to the point in my pedicure where I couldn't stand up and go take a look at colors bc the tech was filing, exfoliating, etc. I absolutely hated the color as it did not match at all. I ended up just going with a clear coat bc I couldn't go look for another one (they never offered to find me a different color). My visit was disappointing and I probably will not return. read more

A great pedicure by Tom. Nails by Maya. Pleasant service and nice conversation. Salon could be a bit cleaner. Nail brushes need to be in blue disinfectant which was an empty container. Staff was pleasant and did a nice job with each part of the treatment. Top pedicure is a perfect value and the massage, hot stones and paraffin on the feet was worth the price. had been going there for quite awhile. while having my pedicure they were trying to rush me thru, and started removing polish and doing my nails while i was in the pedicure chair needless to say, I felt like I was in a twister competition. My polish was not removed correctly and under my new fill was red polish, next time I wanted a french, red polish showed thru all my nails, never, never never again. I asked for a dip in gel glitter but they had no idea what I meant. I picked a color and when I asked for my nails to be shaped multiple times because I did not like them. They ignored it.
