Been going to this salon for over a year and have seen the service level decline. If you don't choose one of the upgraded pedicures, they can't get you out of the chair fast enough. I always make an appointment and the last few have been a disaster. One pedicure was with a guy banged on my foot when he wanted me to move. Despite making an appointment for a gel fill with a particular technician, my mani was done by a guy I have never seen there before. He filed the gel down so far that within a few hours the ends of my nails were breaking off. They did redo the fill for free, but one of the 'fixed' nails broke within a couple of days. I've been getting gel nails for years and have never had this happen before. Tonight, when I was seated at my appointment time, the tech who was supposed to do my fill was just starting another client and there other 2 techs were in early stages with their clients. The manager said he was sorry and offered to have someone do my nails, but I chose to leave, since this wasn't the first time. They deal in quantity, not quality. If you need a quick pedi, they're ok. Otherwise, find somewhere else. read more

Went to them for a longtime I personality likedthe lady that did my nails and she seemed to do them right so I don't know if they use crappy products but my nails use to always crack and break (LcN) I never had time to go fix them. The one time I did they did nothing and charged me full price , rip off. I was real pissed since I never went back on all the occasions my nails cracked. Be aware. I've been to this salon several times and the only thing that seems worth the money there is Trey's work, he does nails. I'm still trying to figure out why they think it's ok to charge so much more than other local salons; do they think just because they're in Holmdel that their address justifies charging more? If it was a stellar place that would be fine, but it's not, it's run of the mill. Also, there was a woman running the front desk who was talking [yelling] at someone on her cell phone and completely ignored me when I asked a question. I don't think she meant to ignore me but she was so wrapped up in her phone call and she reaked of cigarette smoke, it was gross. My nails came out excellent (Trey) but the woman who did my pedicure never put a top coat over my color and the paint starting chipping the next day. They also don't let you to put tip on your card like most other salons allow now. Like I said, if this place was stellar I wouldn't mind paying more but it's not. read more

I used to go here a couple of years ago. Today I returned for a pedicure. I was totally disappointed and will never return. I arrived on time and was told to pick a color for a French pedicure. (?) The tech was in a rush to get the pedicure job done and worked rapidly and at times roughly. I requested a natural color pedicure-it took her 5 different colors before we settled for an acceptable color. Not sure what's the deal w this place. It could use a face lift. Doesn't have a posh feel. Yet there's a woman who works the counter who acts like you just rang the bell for an exclusive spa on rodeo drive. The attitude is unnecessary either way but at least have an environment that somewhat validates it. If not for her 3-4 stars for the rest of the experience here. I don't understand the other reviews of this business. I have been going to this location for gel manicures and pedi's since they opened. I have always been satisfied with the work done. The prices may be a bit higher than some other local nail salons but I feel it is well worth it for a few reasons. It is one of the only salons I've been to where everyone speaks English. I've been to places where pedicurest had no idea what I was saying. It is clean and everyone is friendly. I've never waited more than a few minutes after appointment time. It may not be the perfect location for a quiet "spa day" but that's not why I go there. I don't mind paying more for quality work and friendly service!! read more

I love this salon from the minute I walk in to either Danielle or Trisha who greet me with a happy face and make it a point to make me feel comfortable. My nail tech is truly the best so fun and extremely amazing with unique nail designs, I don't even have to say what I want they just know me on a personal level... makes me feel so relaxed and happy! I went here the first time recommended by a friend and had gotten a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The manicure was nice and and she took off a lot of my cuticles which I liked. During the pedicure though I felt so anxious because the woman at the front desk was bossing around employees and yelling at people where to go for their pedicures and overall it was not a relaxing experience because of her but overall decent so I decided to go a second time but this time for gel nail extensions (tips). So I get there pick my color and am waiting for the girl to come over which she doesn't and apologizes for making me wait (I was 10 minutes early so no big deal). Well I sat down and showed her my inspiration picture which was a glitter ombré over pink nail polish going down into a clear nail bed and I told her don't worry you can do the whole nail pink I just really wanted the glitter ombré and the coffin shape nails. She then told me it'd be $10 for the glitter which I was perfectly fine with but then $15 for the coffin shape! I have never heard of a nail salon charging more than $5 for the shape!! So she starts my nails and the whole time seems upset that I'm even there and am getting this done. When it came to the glitter ombré it's more of just glitter at the tips kind of look and the shape is barely even coffin shaped. She then finished and brought me over to pay to which I told her I also booked for a pedicure which I guess the front desk woman forgot about because she then rushed over to the pedicure chairs to set up and grabbed a random girl to do it (which she actually did a wonderful job). I am just very upset with the nails because they're not exactly the shape I wanted, the design I wanted, and are lumpy looking messes. I'm very disappointed in this place since I had heard such great things about but I will not be returning again. The only thing I will miss about this place was the masseuse they have going around he did give me the best 10 minute back massage I have ever gotten. read more

Had a pedicure done by Amy C she was phenomenal!!!! Really nice and my feet/toes look great! I guess they are under new management (thank god) because the guy at the front is really nice seems like he is running the place he helps the girls set up pedicure stations and is always cleaning up! The are following cdc guidelines everyone gets their temp taken when they walk in there is plastic material between the pedicure stations too! read more

My manicurist seemed very anxious the whole time because she was trying to leave. She also didn't seal my gel manicure (by brushing polish on the tips). I have followed Jenny to the Holmdel location for several years now and I am very happy with all employees and the services here. It's extremely clean and always has been even prior to Coviyd-19. I have been going to this place since it opened. Coming into the area the place was extremely appealing (clean, modern, fun, etc.), but as the business grew and client volume increased the services became significantly worse. Over the past 6 or so months I have seen a ton of new girls working. The new girls rush, give crappy massages and it's obvious that they just want you in and out. About 3 months ago I stopped coming here and started driving 15 minutes to go to a great place. Not to mention, their prices are a little steep. And you're really just paying extra because hey they have cool lights and nice looking chairs but that's about it. read more

My daughter went to the salon this morning for a full set. The nail tech did a horrible job! Everyone of her fingers are literally bleeding. I have never seen a worse job! This is beyond unsanitary, it is dangerous. How someone who is supposed to be a licensed professional could be so careless and unsafe is beyond my comprehension. I called to speak to the owner or the manager and could not get either one. The only response I was given was for her to come back in to get it "fixed". I've been to this nail salon 3x now & I'm NEVER coming back. Each time I go my pedicure comes out horrible! On my first visit, the clear coat bubbled on my toes. I returned the next day & they fixed it by re-doing ALL of the polish (so basically my entire pedicure was re-done). The second time I just didn't care enough to go back & took a trip to a salon closer to my home that I could trust. I did this & was pissed as this meant more $ wasted on a second pedicure when I originally spent $60 here for my toes to be done! The third time, which was today, half of the paint PEELED off of my big toe. I even paid $5 extra for Essie "gel-like" polish. Horrible quality, polish is probably mixed with too much acetone because they don't want to buy new polish. Why did I try them again? NO CLUE. I was originally attracted to this place for the spa pedicures, which include a massage, but it sucks. Don't waste your time or $ here. read more

Let's be real how many people actually write reviews when they are pleased with service. I have been going to Jenny for about 8 years. She previously was at another salon and I followed her here about a year ago. Luckily I was able to find out where she was because I don't know what I would have done. As I'm sitting at another salon because she is away and I always feel weird going to the same salon and not her the woman at the other salon has already cut me and her filing is so painful mind you I'm coming back 3 days after since one of my nails has already popped off I thought to myself I have never wrote a review. My nails never fall off with Jenny, she doesn't cut me, and my nail rhinestones never fall off either. Her designs are amazing and I work for a gynecologist and everyday women are telling me they love my nails and asking me where I go. A complete waste of money. They are far more expensive than other local nail salons, but the work is mediocre at best. The workers look perpetually depressed, and seem to be always day-dreaming, and aren't attentive to their work. This Last time, the tip given to the woman "H" was not acceptable by her standards, she pushed the tip back and made a face like, your kidding right. I guess a 10$ tip was not enough for her. I felt humiliated, so I went to the atm right there and got 20$ more out and gave it to her, I will never step foot in there again. How dare you shame a customer into a bigger tip. read more
