Nail tech was really nice and sweet, although I did get cut from the callus remover which in my opinion did not have in the area that it was used upon. Once she saw blood, she asked me "what happened there? Maybe your slipper you have cut..." I told her no it was from the callus remover. So she tried to stop the bleeding by spraying it with water then applied something on it... For the painting part, I wanted the fading style with black tips.. But got this instead. From far away it looked okay but up close it looked very streaky, not blended and one side was black the other was gray. I was not satisfied at all.. also taking care of my cut that I got, which hurts when I'm wearing socks and shoes for my whole 12 hour shifts. After that experience I went to another nail salon and re did everything, when I went to a second nail salon she cleaned my toe nails really good, showed me all the dead skin that was missed and cleaned under my toe nails. Then got the gel polish removed and repainted. From my experience, I will not be returning. However, the one that did my daughter's acrylic nails and design did a wonderful job. (would have gave ZERO stars if I could(pretty sure they use MMA)been to this salon years ago it was decent. went again a few weeks ago with my sister, the tech who did my nails was awesome except I had about 3 nails lifting on each hand after a week assuming prep wasn't all that great. decided to go back yesterday for a new set, told them my concerns about lifting, had a new girl. they charged me $115 for my full set 10 of which was for a "soak off" that never occurred, the tech popped off my old set with an acrylic tip! which rips off layers of your nails. 15 for a manicure, didn't even soak my nails/fingers/cuticles, just drilled it down with the drill. ( don't think that's a manicure but ok) for my sister hers was about 75 just for a hard gel manicure, she asked to keep her natural nail but instead they cut them down and added fake tips! and gave us both nails that we're different shapes and sizes. I also asked for beet root color from dnd not black but nail tech knows best. they ALSO added on $10 for my nails because they're considered "long"? looks short medium to me. long story short won't ever give money to this business again. The first appointment I made this month was 2 pedicures and I called a day before to make an appointment. Tiffany was very helpful scheduling my appointment, but when we got there to our appointment the next day there were a lot of people and we had to wait about 15 minutes which is not too bad. My nail tech was Cindy and she did a very nice job doing my french toe nails and I like how they came out! Just wish the shape on my big toes matched a bit more but overall great! The price for my gel, french, toe nails were around $54 which was not that bad. My second appointment was this month as well and I made an appointment for 3 manicures. This time I called 3 days in advance and Tiffany scheduled us. When we arrived we were being helped right away and all 3 of us got done at the same time. My nail tech was Tiffany and I got a full set. I did not get my cuticles done nor did I receive lotion which was a bit disappointing. She also told me I couldn't go any shorter than what I have on now, but I've seen shorter. It was ok because they came out ok, just wish they were a little more shorter. Tiffany multitasks pretty well because she does the scheduling while working on a client so just expect her to be taking calls and taking to other clients while doing your nails. She will pause at times when doing so. Overall her service was good. I recommend their services! There may be flaws, but I always enjoy getting my nails done here. read more

I have been going to this salon for the past couple of years.. they have great service. I just went and did a gel manicure on Friday. It is Monday now, and I have gone back twice already to fix a few nails from chipping/peeling off. They re-did the nails with no charge and no questions asked. Which is nice. I'm not sure if it's cause it didn't cure completely or cause there was polish left on the sides of my nails which will cause it to lift and chip off. Every day, a different nail or two have been chipping and I'm not gonna waste my time going back for the third time or telling them how they SHOULD do my nails. This has never happened before. They usually last up to 3 weeks with no chipping. That's stupid if I gotta go back for the third time. Smh waste of time and gas! read more

I returned for a second resin fill two weeks later and it was rushed because a lot of ladies started showing up. Third time was less than two weeks ago for a resin gel fill but I noticed it was applied quickly without thoroughly inspecting how my current nails are holding up. Yesterday, my pointer and middle fingernails on my right hand felt loose. Today, they came off. I am disappointed because I finally had to admit to myself the quality for onwas poor. I'm also disappointed that what I paid for did not last long especially because this type of fill was more pricey than the other type of fills. When I started going to this nail salon, I was full of hope that they would be different. Greater services; no rushing and taking great care of your nails. Nail Pika is conveniently located on the outer part of Ka Makana Ali'i mall across of Foodland Farms. I decided very last minute to get my nails done with my daughter on a Sunday. They were able to accommodate the both of us on short notice and especially on a weekend which I am very thankful for. The reason for the 3 star rating is because the quality of the service wasn't the best. I do think the staff has good customer service skills and the lady who did my 6 year old daughter was very nice and patient with her. However, small attention to detail things like asking for square shaped toes and getting different is really important to me. They do play really relaxing music but someone's phone is also connected to the salons speakers and whatever they are watching can be heard so it was very hard to relax. I also wasn't asked what kind of pedicure I wanted and it was kind of just assumed that I wanted a basic. (This is something I could have spoken up about, but I chose not to just because it was hard to relax.) I have to give Nail Pika a 1 due to my most recent experience. I went in today with my family and we all got manicures/pedicures. Set an appointment and took us within a few minutes while we decided on our colors. My past experiences have always been satisfactory and the technicians have usually been friendly. I don't like to complain but I do want to give an honest review. I was quite disappointed with the technician Sofia who did my nails and also with the technician who handled my mothers (didn't get her name). Sofia only asked what color I wanted and also the shape of my acrylic nails. She stayed silent the whole time, even when she had cut my cuticle on my thumb. After she semi completed the acrylics she took me to do my pedicure. Water was nice and warm. As she was attending to my feet, I looked at my hands because it was tingling and noticed blood. I showed Sofia and told her it was bleeding. She didn't apologize or ask if I was okay and just looked at it. Next thing she does is spray water on a piece of paper towel and wipes my finger as it is still bleeding. As she finishes my pedicure, she tells me to wait 15min and then I'm good to go. She was going to take me back to finish my manicure, however I decided to keep it plain and leave it the way it was since my finger was already bleeding. She said okay your total for today would be $77 dollars. Mind you, I didn't even get the gel nail polish yet she still charged me for that. I told her she had cut my finger, so in any way will I be compensated for this? She looked at my thumb again and said that's what happens when you get your cuticles cut and cleaned. I said no that shouldn't have happened and has not happened to me before, so what will be done? Or can I at least get a discount or an apology? She stepped away to speak with Tiffany. Tiffany then came to see me and asked me what happened. I told her what had transpired and I showed her my finger. Tiffany and Sofia spoke to each other in their native language and then Tiffany actually apologizes and says that she cleaned my cuticles and normally they don't do that. I told her I didn't ask for that nor did I ask to be cut, so what are you going to do about this? She asked me, "well what do you want me to do?" I told her that I've been coming here pretty often for the past year, never has this happened, and as the owner how will you compensate for this? And she told me to calm down as I was very calm and spoke very nicely to her, but as a customer I will speak up. She asked if I was okay and I said yes I'm okay, however my finger is sore. If you aren't going to do anything about this, I won't come here again, is what I had told her. She told me to hold on and went to speak with another lady. She offered 25% off. I paid and still tipped them, though I was not happy. What kind of customer service is that for me to even come back? I understand that accidents do happen sometimes but how it's handled makes a huge difference. My mothers experience was very mediocre. She got her pedicure first but the water was cold. She told her technician that it could be warmer but didn't say anything after that. She tried using her massage chair but it didn't even work. She then got her manicure which she was not happy with. It bubbled and the second coat didn't align with the first one. She had nail polish left on her hands, uncleaned. As soon she was done painting her nails, she just walked off and that was it. I thought with a manicure you get lotion and a hand massage? I guess not. I would like to add that my aunty had a great experience. They take health precautions by taking temp, wiping down chairs, and requiring sanitizer before starting.
