An appointment was made two days prior for 2p -- I arrived at 1:45p. Yet, I'm very well acquainted with nail shops and sometimes you have to wait due to walk-ins. I asked to look at the nail colors. I was harshly told to sit down and wait. Now I didn't mind waiting about 45 minutes and I sat. After a bit I thought maybe the man didn't understand me, so I asked again. This time I was directed to the choice pallets. I chose my color and waited a bit more. Once I was sat, I showed the man the picture of the shape and length, along with telling the color number. I then asked him to wrap my nails to soak during the pedi. He said don't worry. He didn't wrap at all. He just sanded my nails, asked if I wanted shorter, and carried on. He sanded my cuticles, nicking them a few times. He didn't cut my nails at all. I told him I like squoval shape (squarish with slightly rounded corners, like the picture I showed him). He carried on disregarding me. I asked how his day was going. He grunted ok. I said that's better than a bad day. He didn't manicure my cuticles at all. He did not used a base coat of powder, only the color, as I've been accustomed to from my other nail salons. At the powder and filing was done, he applied a top coat, but no light was used. My other mail salons always end with a coat then put my nails under a UV light. He told me very plainly to sit where I was and he'd return to take me for my pedi. I sat for about 20 minutes thinking he was cranky, he hurt me by sanding so roughly, and he did not want to be there. I went to someone else and told him I changed my mind. The result is acceptable. I visited Nail Focus this weekend while in town visiting family, and I was not impressed. First, the positive... the people were nice enough. Not overly great service or anything, but it was fine. However...the cleanliness level of the salon was a little concerning. I saw the staff do back-to-back pedicures without rinsing the bowl in between. Gross. They also made several of my fingers bleed during my manicure; one of my fingers is STILL sore 5 days later (not a good sign). The polish took an extraordinarily long time to dry. After an hour and a half of careful maneuvering, my nails were still very wet and got dinged, totally ruining the polish. Super disappointing. Finally, their pricing was really confusing and I felt like they were making it up as they went along. When the nail lady told me there as a "5 minimum tip" on my $25 service, I was a little shocked... mandatory tipping, really? If I'm ever in town and in need of nail services again, I'll definitely go elsewhere. read more

There were 5 of us in our party and we had 11am reservations for mani/pedis on a Saturday. When we arrived the place was PACKED! We had to wait ~45 minutes until we were all seated together but the ladies were very friendly and did terrific jobs on us (3 adults and 2 kids). Everytime I go in I am turned away by a young man. I have tried to use their facility multupal times, I will not try again.

The worst manicure I have ever had. I wanted a regular manicure. The lady acted like I was a waste of her time. I was looking for a color and she told me to go sit down. I thought ok, I will pick it out later. No. She chose the color. She applied one coat of color. One. There was a piece of black brush That fell off onto the nail and she just painted right over it. My cuticles look like they still Need trimming. I will never go back. read more

It was my first time visiting and I wanted a manicure with lots of designs and they said they couldn't do it so I went for one smaller and the man (IDK his name but a younger man)said he could do it so u sit down and they did a well job of filing and preping they got my tips on and applied the acrylic solution and so on they were pretty busy so I had him getting up jumping from place to place between almost each nail he made sure I liked the shape and so on he them begain painting (never was given the choice of gel or regual polish)and when he painted on the green the nail polish was chunky and I noticed that the rim of the bottle was crusty it looked like a 5 year olds bottle of nail polish he then pulled out nail polish thinner and thinned it way down more than needed and it made the color so thin u could see through it and he just kept going and applied a few layers (color on my nails is still so thin I can see the nail )and went to my matte black left it streaky but when I asked for it to be fixed I was given a weird look (made me kinda uncomfortable ) and he did as I said then he said go wash hand and sit over there and I did then another lady younger comes over and in a very demanding voice say sow me picture of, what u want I did as she said and she goes I can't do that maybe she can (at this point I am very nervous about not being able to get what's was told I could after the colors were already painted on) the older lady them came over and very nervously behind painting the design she finishes and I notice the design paint is really thick it's gonna take a while to dry even with the little fan about 3 or 4 mins later they try to paint on a top coat after I said it wasnt dry and smeared the design a little and he goes on its not dry (in my head I was saying some really sarcastic remarks ) he walks away back to the other customer he is working on and the lady comes over and tries to put a top coat on the other one smearing it till its in recognizable and attempt to fix it with this green polis that isn't even covering the clear acrylic (didn't work well ) I was then told I was done and I appreciated that the shape and size were right and one hand look amazing and the other was fixed as well as it could be without another 20 mins I will go back I want to try there glow in the dark acrylic because he didn't put it on like I asked this time the do require u to tip so have am extra 5 $ on hand that's the minimum amount(posted pics if my nails above ) read more

this place is awful, customer service sucks. my nails were shaped so incorrectly and were not even painted on the sides.

My cousin got me started getting pedis a few years ago... We have tried several place around the Claremore area & none of them compare to Nail Focus... She comes from KS to go to this salon. They are very friendly & have a couple of very talented artists... My fav was last Christmas I got french tips in red & she painted a snow man, fir tree & snowing... it was beautiful read more

This particular review is not related to the quality of nail service Nail Focus offers, but rather the lack of citizenship towards the community. This local nail salon was not willing to donate or even match a purchase of a gift certificate to help raise money for expenses of a local woman with stage 4 cancer. I was shut down without a question or hesitation. Poor customer service. read more

I will not go to this place again and this is why.....I went to nail focus in claremore for a pedicure and shellac manicure. It started out ok. I picked a color and then waited for someone to start pedicure. Halfway through a guy came and asked if about taking off the shellac & I said ok. He brought out a bowl with remover (I assume...), inside a plastic tote. And wanted me to soak. I asked about the foil wrap (like I have always had done in Texas and Tulsa). He just said this is faster and walked away. After soaking for only a few minutes it got really hot. I asked if this was normal and they just shook their heads yes. When pedicure (nothing to write home about. Did not ask if I wanted anything other than a basic...cuticles, calluses, very minimal massage and polish. No scrub, mask, hot towels...nothing....) then I was instructed to go to a table. I sat there for about 5 minutes. A girl came and started "filing" off the old shellac. I asked again about the foil wrap and asked why she was filing it off. Which I would assume would mess up my nails much like getting acrylic nails. Which is why I get shellac, because they don't file it off. Then she says something in Vietnamese and other techs look at me and kind of giggle. Then they go get an older woman that I assume runs the place. Very rudely she asks what I want. Really?!?!? At this point I feel very uncomfortable. She goes and gets foil and wraps my nails. I wait for about 10 minutes and then she starts scraping the ild shellac off with her thumb nail! No tools...again...really?!?!? Then she asks if I want them shorter. I said no, I don't want anything else done. And that I would pay for the pedicure and removal of the shellac, but I wanted them to do nothing further. She said ok and walked away while saying something in Vietnamese again to the guy that sits up front. Again, more sideways looks and speaking in Vietnamese. I asked the guy why this happened and that I was feeling very uncomfortable about what was going on. And he just gave a nervous laugh and said "ah...I don't know" and then quietly said "sorry" as I was leaving. I have never been to such a poorly run place as this. And I will not be back. And the one star I gave on this review was for the nice guy that gave me the pedicure. It could have been better, but he was nice and pleasant to me. read more
