Warning this place is a health hazard! This place barely gets 2 stars because it was extremely unsanitary. Although the gel manicure I had done looked ok initially, they reused the tools without sanitizing between clients (have you seen those giant UV machines or the sealed packets they pull out with a freshly sanitized set of tools - that was no where to be seen) my technician (who was very friendly - hence the only reason I didn't give this place 1 star) pulled out the tools from her drawer and the nail buffer and file from a plastic bag that held several of them with different usage. The floor also had stains, you could probably find nicer furniture if you went dumpster diving, and the smell of incense was overwhelming! They dilute the polishes with acetone to maximize the amount of customers they can use it on - the technician did it in front of me. I'm not familiar with the health codes for a nail salon but I have to imagine this place was violation. I immediately canceled the pedicure and blamed it on forgetting that I needed to be somewhere. Again, I feel really bad destroying an establishment with such friendly technicians but I feel compelled to warn folks before they get an infection or fungus. I hope they see this and make some much needed changes. read more

I called ahead and told them I was very picky and I wanted whoever did their acrylic job on yelp because the old pictures are so good but they said everybody can do acrylics well. unfortunately that is not the case. My number 1 pet peeve for a nail salon, overbooking. I called 4 hours ago and asked for a gel manicure for my mom and a regular pedi for me. They said they have time all day so I asked for the least busy time so we can do our services at the same time - they asked me to come at 3. We arrive and there's 1 couple getting pedicures and a woman at the nail bar. Anyways I get seated for a pedi and my mother has been waiting 20 mins now. I asked what happened and she said a tech had to go home for an emergency. Then SHOUTS at me in front of the whole store that I didn't tell her my mom had old gel nails to remove. Why are you yelling at me? They could've also called to say they're short on techs for convenience like professionals. But I guess that's my fault somehow? I'm extremely non confrontational and to avoid an issue I said sorry and now she takes ANOTHER WALK IN for a couple also getting pedis. And then viciously cuts my cuticle skin just rushing. So now I'm here upset, NOT RELAXING and shes servicing 4 people at once. What is this? I got the most half assed pedicure ever. At the end when one couple left they're nice again... Went to check on my mom and she wanted one mail a different color.. this woman asked my mom "well are you going to change your mind again?" and she hasn't asked for anything else before so I'm confused? I love Tom but I will never come back again. This woman is so rude and for what? Update: It's been 2 days and my mothers gel manicure completely changed color. This has never happened and I don't understand why. She's a stay at home wife and doesn't do housework.. We went back and they offered to change the color but only removed the tips (she had a design only the tips had color) and didn't even top coat it. They left the old clear coat on half the nail and just wiped the tips... this revision lasted another 2 days then we just went elsewhere to redo the whole thing. My fiancé and I came in for pedicures this afternoon and, unfortunately, had an overall terrible experience at Nail Bar nail salon. Cross-Contamination: The nail technician assisting my fiancé took several personal phone calls from her cell phone during our pedicures. Never once washing her hands or changing rubber gloves in between the multiple times she picked up her cell phone. I was mortified to see this, just thinking about all the germs our cell phones carry. Unprofessional: Both of the technicians that assisted us today seemed very unprofessional. The taking of personal phone calls during our pedicures was the most obvious clue. Also, the man assisting me for my pedicure stepped away several times near the end of my service. He would come back to add another coat of polish, step away, come back for the top coat, step away, etc. I should also mention that, at the time of our pedicures, we were the only customers in the salon. By the end, I was unsure if my technician had even finished with my pedicure, because he stepped away without saying anything and never came back. Carelessness: Unfortunately, the nail technician assisting me with my pedicure cut the toenail too deep which resulted in a painful cut on my big toe (photo attached). I understand that these things can accidentally happen, however I would have appreciated if the technician mentioned and apologized for the cut. Instead, he act like nothing happened and kept on with the pedicure My fiancé and I are locals and live near the area, however this will be our first and last experience here. read more

My experience here was so bad it's almost laughable. I made an appointment for an acrylic fill with gel overlay on a Wed at 11a. When I got there, the woman said she thought I was also doing a pedicure (idk why, they asked when I made the appt and I said no). The woman removed the color from my nails and shaped them, and then I had to wait 20min for another nail tech to come in ‍ When she arrived, she was the least friendly person I've ever encountered at any type of salon. She didn't apologize for my wait, smile, or even say hello. I tried to make small talk with her and mentioned I was looking for a new nail tech to see every 2 weeks bc my old one moved away (hint hint, please treat me well). She looked at me, didn't respond, turned something on on her phone, and propped it up so she could watch it. Fine, whatever, I don't need her to be nice as long as she does a great job. I was happy w the shape and color, but the glue for the rhinestones was sloppily applied so you can see it between the stones (hard to capture in photos bc it's clear), and the edges of my nails were rough. After being there for 2 hours (a ridiculous amount of time for a fill & gel, it's usually an hour or less), I was late for a lunch date and didn't have time for it to be fixed. Even worse was that 2 days later, the gel color started chipping & keeps getting worse (see pics). I don't mind paying extra for my nails bc I know these workers are often underpaid and overworked. I paid $70 for these nails + $30 tip and will never return. *Regarding the photos, my appt was on a Wednesday and the photos were taken Friday and Monday. read more

Thank goodness I found Nail Bar, and that it's walking distance from my office! I yelp messaged the business around 2pm yesterday to see about an appointment at 4:45 and within a few minutes the appointment was confirmed. I should mention, I was hesitant to try this place because I was worried about the pricing and such, and opted for a place closer to home (that I won't name for their integrity) who were really not great at all. My nails were horrid. Uneven paint, uneven shape, the color was not as they showed on the examples, the nail tech rushed through and clearly didn't prep my nails properly.... so many things I can say. Such a shame because they were all so nice. This is where Nail Bar saved the day... After a week and a half my dip powder came off in one piece from several nails so I looked to Nail bar to fix me up. They definitely did not disappoint! I am ecstatic with how nice they were, the cleanliness, the service and of course how great my manicure came out! Another awesome woman who was being serviced next to me, showed me her designs and their work, she spoke very highly of them and by the looks of her designed manicure, she was not kidding. I had the pleasure of sitting with Kayla who took her time to really clean my nail, prep it for the powder and complete the full manicure. My nails are now even, beautiful, shiny and just how I like them. She was very genuine and even mentioned to contact her as my nails grow out because she was curious to see how long they'd last since my first dip experience with another salon was so bad. I will definitely be returning to her, and this salon over and over. We were able to make a same day appointment and were tended to exactly at our appointment time (other locations we've had to wait a while)! My sister had recently done her nails at another location 2 weeks ago and one of her nails had fallen off already. She asked for a fill and to fix the broken one. The technician that had started with her had recommended that she just take them off and start over with a full set. Tommy (who had already started working on mine) asked to take a look at her nails and upon looking said he would be able to fix her nails and complete the fill. He politely asked me if he could move on to hers and Kayla would finish my set, which of course I agreed to because my sisters nails were looking horrible and needed all the help they could get! I came to this place because of the Yelp reviews. This place is lovely! I had a gel mani-pedi and an eyebrow wax. The nail tech did an amazing job. Nothing was rushed. I loved the service. Their tools are sanitized! Before I walked in this door, I had been at another nail salon that did not sanitize their instruments. I was completely horrified! They had tried to use a cuticle cutter on me when I saw them wipe off skin and nail from it. I walked into this salon and point-blank asked if they sanitized their tools. The manager was very kind in showing me their sanitizer machines. She said that after every customer the tools are put in there to be sanitized. When I was assigned a nail tech, I literally saw her pull out sanitized tools from one of the machines. Whew! read more

My friend and I went to get a mani pedi together on girls day. There were no other customers in the salon when we arrived and now I know why! LOVE this place! I ended up coming here to remove my full set and get a new one. The last nail place I went to (whom I'll leave unnamed), just didn't do a good job with my nails. Half of my nails were broken and the polish was so chipped from a previous place. I'm so happy I found this place, Tam who I believe is the owner did my nails. He was great! He really took his time and didn't rush through my nails which I can really appreciate!! Definitely ask for Tam!!
