It has all the traditional pub games at one end of the bar including pool tables and a darts room. This is a brilliant idea as unlike in other pubs there is plenty of room to play your pool shots without knocking into walls, posts or people. Families are welcome and facilities are laid on to keep the kids entertained. A conservatory provides them with space in which to play without disturbing other patrons and a garden with slides and swings to give them extra stimulation in the summer. The bar staff are friendly and on my visit the landlord was in the pub and engaged me and my friend in some conversation which added a touch of personality to the place. Parking is not a problem as there is plenty of room on the pub's grounds however one customer I got chatting to told that the pub has previously been targeted by police for drink drivers so it is worth being extra careful and considering this when accepting that second pint. The prices are standard for pubs but helpfully the bar tariff is displayed in clear view next to the bar.

Service was quick and efficient and the bar was well staffed. The customer base seems to be made up of more mature folk who keep themselves to themselves and are there just to enjoy a drink. The interior is quite new, mainly decked out in pine and the pub is very well lit indeed.
