Build Your Own Bowl with a side of pita
    Brittney H.

I've been to this location many times. The food is always fresh, service is quick, and the inside is clean. It's my go to when I'm looking for a quick and filling meal that doesn't leave me feeling yucky. You go up to a counter and order while they make it in front of you (like chipotle or subway). The employees are always welcoming and quick, even when it's busy. You can't go wrong with anything there, it's all tasty and fresh. My go to is a bowl with half coucous, half basmati rice, chicken shawarma, chopped salad, purple cabbage, lettuce, pickles, and tahini with sides of S'khug and harissa sauces and (of course) pita on the side. Once you order, you pay at the counter and can fill your drink from the fountain (they also have bottled beverages if you prefer that). Then you can pick a table. There's a decent amount of seating inside, so you can usually find a spot even if it's busy. Or if you prefer, you can get your food to go. Overall, love Naf Naf. Will be returning!

My husband and I frequent this location often, and we have always had a positive experience every time we have come here. The dining area is consistently clean, the workers are friendly, and the food is of great quality. We love this place so much because we love how it's customizable to fit what we want. Customers have a choice of creating a bowl which is $10.45 (comes with one protein choice), a plate which is $12.65 (comes with two protein choices), a stuffed pita sandwich ($8.95), or a salad bowl ($10.45). Then, you can pick a base of either rice, hummus, spicy hummus, couscous, baba ghanoush, or half of two choices. Protein choices include chicken shawarma, crispy chicken, grilled steak, or falafel. Next, toppings include chopped salad, purple cabbage, sumac onions, and pickles. Lastly, you pick sauces to add on top or on the side. They offer many different kinds, including two spicy ones, a garlic one, tahini, a lemon or pomegranate vinaigrette, or nafziki. My usual order consists of a chicken shawarma bowl with a half hummus (regular or spicy depending on my mood) and half rice base. Then, I add chopped salad, purple cabbage, and onions. Lastly, I normally add the green or red hot sauce (again, depending on how spicy I really want it). I also love ordering a pita sandwich, but the nice thing about the bowls is that you get a complimentary pita on the side, so you get the best of both worlds. The pitas here are fresh and amazing! Overall, we like this location and love the convenient location from us. Please remember that this is a chain restaurant, so it's not the "authentic" Middle Eastern cuisine you would get at a locally owned restaurant. Also, be careful with the times you come here this parking lot is connected to Woodfield Mall's parking lot; there are also a few other dining restaurants connected to Naf Naf's strip mall, so the parking lot can get extremely busy depending on the time of day and year. I'm sure the holiday season would create a mess in the parking lot. The lunch rush for sure does because I have come here during it.

I was visiting Roti for my quick Mediterranean food but my coworker recommended me Naf Naf and I was so impressed with flavor of the food. I love their fresh warm pita. The staff at this location has been super nice and courteous. I enjoyed my food in to-go as well as dine in. I would keep coming back to this one.

I had a great experience at Naf Naf today. First of all i want to say that the staff is super welcoming and helping. We ordered (with the help of the lady helping me) a bowl of Falafel That comes with warm pita bread. There reason I mentioned warm is because they make fresh bread there. The falafels were made to perfection. Perfect crisp level and perfectly soft. I tired all their sauces and loved their red sauce. I also ordered Baklawa and fries. They fries are house made potatoes chips which were really good. In Baklawa, I ordered Sea Salt caramel which i ate right there an then and also got walnut pistachios baklawa. I have not tried it yet but m sure its gonna be good too. I wanna recognize all the staff members there again as how nice they were coz lately i have am noticing people losing the sense of welcoming and hospitality. This is definitely a place to try. They have take out options or you can there warm and fresh. Its right across Woodfield mall - JCPenney. So do try them if you crave for Mediterranean food or are in the woodfield area. There is ample comfortable seating and they also do catering

I RECOMMEND Naf Naf GRILL absolutely Very nice environment, neat and clean. Seating is good, ample seating. I Ordered Falafel bowl, with fries and Baklava. I didn't like the fries (potato Chips), it needs improvement. I think chips should be replicated into regular fries. Falafel bowl preparation was really good and yummy too. Excellent service Drinks machine was neat and clean . Everything was looking hygienic. I appreciate quick service and friendly talk from the employees. I liked the Naf Naf Symbol - it's attractive. I had good experience with Naf Naf Grill.

I LOVE NAF NAF! This location was great and easy to find. The staff were kind, friendly and quick. The dining area is pretty spacious and there is ample parking outside. We went around 1:30PM on a Friday, wasn't busy at all. The restaurant was also clean and well maintained despite it being somewhat snowy/wet outside. The food itself is just MUAH. Got a chicken bowl filled with ALLLL the toppings. The mix of toppings and flavors just go together SO Dang well. The bowl also comes with a fresh, *warm*, pita. The chicken is tender, seasoned just right, the mix of hot sauces, tahini, garlic, veggies, pickles, rice is a party in the mouth. Love Naf Naf and glad to have found this location in Schaumburg. If you are looking for Mediterraean place in a laid back environment, definitely check this place out!

What an absolutely delicious meal from Naf Naf! I ordered the bowl with chicken on saffron rice, chopped salad, and red cabbage. A definite highlight was the big, fluffy pita on the side. Compared to other places in the area (like Benjyahuda or Roti), this pita takes the cake! (Or rather, the bread!) I will be back for a sandwich on a pita, for sure. The beef and also the falafel balls look really good as well. The baklava was a perfectly crispy, sweet ending to the meal. Dont skip dessert! Drew, Lois, and the crew here are humble and friendly, and so helpful as I asked about the toppings and sauces. The garlic sauce complements the chicken and chopped salad well. Inside the restaurant, it is very clean and bright, with plenty of seating here and parking outside.

NafNaf has been a fave for some time. So I knew what I expected. The staff, the falafel & the pita exceeded my expectations. The cook at this location knows what they're doing. The falafel were perfection - crunchy and pillowy soft. The pita were super fresh and soft. All of the food was very fresh and the portions were abundant but appropriate. The staff was by far some of the friendliest, fastest and most professional I've encountered at fast food in a long time. Even the young lady cleaning in the dish room was smiling and friendly. Personally I'd skip the fries which are really more chips than fries. They aren't bad, but they don't really add anything to the meal. Suggestion...order the bowl. It comes with pita. You get all the same things you can put on the pita but it's easier to eat separately.

Created my own bowl - half rice/half hummus.

Out of all of the Mediterranean "fast food" places I've visited, this one is the best! I've been to multiple locations and it just never disappoints... Staff would always suggest and help out when needed, but again... you can't go wrong with anything! Their chili and garlic sauces are GOLD. Highly recommend the chicken, putting that on any bowl is a must. Great spot :)

So glad we decided to stop here. Never had Middle Eastern food. So many flavors! Located outside Woodfield Mall in a strip center. Plenty of parking. You can dine in or carry out. You choose from a variety of items - chicken shawarma..steak or crispy chicken. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We started with the Falafel Balls with a few dipping sauces..Garlic and Tahini which were very good. We also had the Chicken Shawarma bowl with hummus..baba ganush ..shedded red cabbage..cucumber salad and Middle Eastern pickles. Wow...what flavor! Comes with a pita that is soft as a pillow..lol. If you are looking to be adventurous..this is the place to go!

    Falafel pita for lunch...

Geez...My review seems to echo a lot of what people are already saying about the changes to Naf Naf... I am not a fan of the 'Chipotle' style assembly line, yet this seems to be the corporate direction of the new Naf Naf locations. Aside from the vegetarian plate, which I love, missing from the new menu approach, I also miss the Israeli salad. The new tomato/cucumber salad is not the same. I think $8+ for a falafel pita sandwich with no side is also a high price considering all of the competition in this area. As for some pluses...There is still no denying Naf Naf's pita...It is #1 in all the land. I'm glad corporate did not change that. Also, I do like the addition of the garlic sauce which I don't remember from the older locations. Bottom line, I probably would go somewhere else in Schaumburg for my falafel fix, but, I will never pass up a chance to go to the Freedom Drive or Fox Valley Mall locations...If you haven't tried those, you should. For any total nubes, as the kids are saying, give this spot a try, you cannot deny their pita power.

The move is to get Tahini and S'khug on the side and pour it on your chicken shawarma pita like its sauces at taco bell.

That's mostly because I've been burned by a couple of places where I gave them the five stars for a nice meal, only to be slightly more disappointed on future visits. But Pita House earns the five stars for me, because I've been there very often, and besides the wonderful food, I find them to be consistent, polite, and professional, with reasonable pricing just as a bonus. On this visit I opted for the beef shawarma sandwich, falafel, and the fatoush salad. I ate inside as I usually do here, because it's easy, spacious and clean. Although I'm not a huge falafel lover, I always enjoy them here. The salad was a new choice for me and I really liked it. The beef shawarma is my standard go-to here. Usually I order the plate, but lately I've gone with the sandwich. They stuff it nicely. Although I haven't had their lentil soup lately, it is always excellent. Five stars here for me!

The bowl serving seemed kind of small- especially for being $13. The bowl also came with a small salad inside, but I was not a fan of the pickle that was cut up, but that's just personal preference for me. The falafels were crispy and tasty.
