I recently had an implant placed at Dr. Moavenian's office. He took the time to explain the procedure before starting, and went through each step as he placed the implant. Nothing but Great things to say about Dr Baasch and the staff. Had a bridge that had served its lifetime and needed extraction of the two teeth holding it. Also required a bone graft and after 3 months got the go ahead and installed to implants. Costly yes but everything was explained up front. Highly recommend Dr Braasch. read more

If you blindly visit this practice because your dentist referred you, expect to spend 2 hours for a simple consultation -- 1.5 hours of that is waiting for the dentist to grace you with his presence. At the end of the two hours, they will surprise you with the $500+ consultation fee. Do not trust your dentist who might be part of this scam. Do your own research. I found a more reputable practice that will perform the same procedure for less than 1/2 the cost and only a $110 consultation fee. read more

During the Covid outbreak, I had some significant pain with bottom teeth that came upon so suddenly. It was so difficult to see a dentist but I was able to get into see Dr. Moavenian to help me through it. I am a VERY fearful patient when it comes to the dentist and he was so confident working on me that it made me feel well. His staff is PHENOMENAL and even calls on weekends knowing that I had various pain points that needed to be addressed. I am so thankful for them during this time because honestly, other than Dr. Viola (who also was amazing) it was tough to see a dentist. read more

These guys are dishonest. They told me a price, and then charged me $2k more. My dentist was really angry, and they told her to pound sand when she called them on it. She no longer refers patients to them. Don't do it! Seriously - go ANYWHERE else. read more

They charged me 504 for a CT scan (that's in office )and told me that my one wisdom tooth will cost me 1300 to remove and with my insurance paying 80% it will cost me $433!! I was dumb founded to had trust them but once I got home and do my research I was furious!! They should be jailed for this! It's the same thing as stealing!! Dr. Moavenian didn't take the time to explain anything and just rushed through my procedure to get to the next number. I have never felt like a number with any professional I have seen until it came to my visit with Dr. Moaveian. I would like to say maybe he had a bad day but can't since it was that bad. Bad service didn't explain anything they didn't even give you good medication for pain meds for afterwords I asked for specific pain med they told me no I am in extreme pain none of the medication isn't working, poorly instructed didn't give you any instructions for after the surgery they rushed it very upset can't believe we sent over 3k on this bullshit. Not much to add to the rave reviews here. The whole process of two procedures, one a rather complicated dental implant, was smooth and efficient, painless (no kidding) and cheerful. A couple of phone calls for advice and info, and every need was taken care of without a hitch. Besides the efficient and professional care Dr. Moavenian provided for my implant, the assistants were cheerful, friendly , and extremely competent in their roles. The link from Moavenian to my regular dentist was seamless and complete. I do not hesitate to recommend Dr. Moavenian in the least, and I would (will) return to him any time in the future. read more

As an update, I received a call on 02 Aug in response to the review I put on Yelp. This time they had determined that the charge was legitimate but was just not billed to me in a timely manner. They also waived the charge as a result of their miscommunication on the issue in my previous two phone calls. It took two calls and a poor Yelp review to get their attention, but they did make good on the issue in the end. read more

I wanted a second opinion for dental work that I needed done. They wanted to charge me $450 for a CT scan for the 2nd opinion. I decided not to go there. I did have a tooth extracted there years ago and it was done well. I just think It is stupid to charge $450 for a second opinion. read more

I made an appointment to have one tooth extracted, when I got to my appointment they put me right in a room, the Dr. Moavenian had an emergency so sat in the chair for over an hour, Dr. came in apologized and quickly pulled my tooth and left. I then find out that they office charged me an exam fee??? there was NO exam(Evaluation), $125.00 for nothing. My dentist charges $47.00 and I actually get an exam. When I then went to my regular dentist for my annual cleaning and check up my insurance will not pay for the EXAM because they said the Dr. Moavenian already did an exam..that is false billing..there was not an exam. In speaking to my co worker regarding this she then told me she had the bad experience with the office charging her for an FREE consultation due to her not having this office do the work she went for the FREE consultation for. Needless to say she did not pay for it. Office should not charge for items that were not done. I wished I looked at this site before going there..looks like he has done this to other patients. I am following up with my dentist insurance regarding these charges, this should not be allowed to happen. read more

Dr. Moavenian removed my wisdom teeth over the summer and did a great job. The entire surgical process took under an hour and the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The office was a very clean and relaxing environment. Healing didn't take long and I was back to almost normal in a little over a week. I did some research and the cost of the procedure was very fair when compared to what other surgeons in the area were charging. The office location is also very convenient right off exit 7W in Nashua. I would recommend NHOMS to anyone looking for a great oral surgeon with reasonable pricing. I will admit, I am not a fan of going to the dentist for anything, good or bad... However, thank to dentist who practice "cater to coward methods" going to see someone is not as scary as it use to be. Moavenian however does not fall under this category. First, lets talk about $$$, their is nothing better than being in mouth pain and the only way to alleviate that pain is fork over several thousand dollars above insurance - "you need," he walks away, the receptionist, smiling ear to ear, "now, this will cost about (my case) $3000 over, we have an opening tomorrow morning, we accept..." Naturally, I leaped buildings to get some teeth pulled, if I didn't whats my alternative, wait it out? He pulled 9 teeth (i have "soft teeth") in about 50 minutes, handed ME (while in a zombie trance according to my ride) a prescription for 20 percocet (im not an addict at ALL, but seriously? Take one every 6-8 hours, HAVE YOU EVER HAD YOUR MOUTH TORN APART?) This has to be the worst experience of my life. SO im home, and a huge lump forms on the side of my neck, to the point that I was apparently unable to breath adequately - or at-least that's what the ICU Nurse told me when I was allowed to be woken up after being intubated and restrained following an emergency surgery to my neck/throat to excise 66cc of fluid that had causes "tracheal shift" that I was told was visibly apparent when I was taken into the ER bc my spouse noticed I was only taking 2-4 breaths per minute, I was asking for things that where nuts, and I complained of losing air, dying etc. (no memory of this, this is how bad it was.) As I was being discharged, the MD at the hospital told me how lucky I was that the dentist came to complete the surgery at all, he had been summoned almost 24 hours before he showed up covered in grass clippings and debris from lawn work?) The best was yet to come, I asked the MD, "what happened" bc the last thing I remember was walking into the house after surgery? He explained that this HACK gave me antibiotics that read: Amox, 750mg, PO, BID, begin five days PRIOR to surgery for prophylactic infection control!" So I asked Nadar, why does the bottle say this (this was that same day, around 3) I remember stating "you met me on Tuesday afternoon, and surgery was Wednesday am at 600?" I didn't even get a prescription until after you where done. What five days?" Denial Denial Denial.... I know malpractice is high, money hungry people, but, this is so clear cut (I still have every single thing from that day) as well as copies of his notes- which note "alteration date" since he went into records and altered them once he knew he screwed up. I lost two weeks of life. My mother went on family leave bc they told her "we need to give this time, and pray" so, 3 years later, more dental work to fix what he did - the teeth where examined, and, he pulled 5 more than needed... It took about 8 months but I had a "staff related infection" meaning, I didn't have one until he pulled and touched open wounds or something. So, Im glad others had a good experience, me, Id rather use pliers... He is a con, a hack, gross and only cares about $$$. Since I am in law school, this only helps me as I take him down. read more

I was scheduled for have an oral surgery on 9/25/2015. Prior to showing up, I called the office and confirmed that the "pre-authorization" from the medical insurance was obtained. I was assured that I would only be subject to my $50 co-pay. Upon my arrival, after having fasted and filled several prescription, I was asked for over $2,700 to complete the surgery. I advised the woman at the reception desk, I had called two days prior to confirm I was only going to have to pay the $50 co-pay. I was then told that the office would never tell me that I would only be subject to my co-pay, as they would never say anything like that. I then called my insurance carrier and confirmed the office never even received a "pre-authorization" for the surgery. I did not have $2,700 for the surgery and advised I would like a copy of my medical records. I told the office I would wait and they advised they had 30 days to complete the request, even though the doctor advised I should have the surgery done asap. The office then assured me the records would be ready on 9/28/2015. I called to confirm on the 28th and was advised they have 30 days to complete the request. I explained the need for the records and was advised "we have 30 days" to complete your request. I had no issue with the doctor himself, but it is clear to me the staff does not put the patients medical needs or concerns first. read more
