Their breakfast selection is incredible -- a wide variety of fresh, beautifully crafted pastries that taste just as good as they look. The cappuccinos are perfectly made, rich and balanced, exactly what you'd expect in Italy. What makes this place even more special is that it's not just for mornings. In the afternoon, it transforms into the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed aperitivo in a lovely, cozy setting. The service truly stands out -- the staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always smiling, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit if you're in Rome -- whether it's for breakfast, a coffee break, or a laid-back afternoon drink.

I was disappointed with the bread and cookies we purchased. It's difficult to do everything well. Perhaps narrowing on one specialty is best, but I'm old school. I miss the days of the fruit store, the formaggi shop, the wine merchant, etc. Everyone was lovely at Il Gianfornaio, and reminded me of how my American education was lacking. I can only speak English and a smattering of French. The merchants at Il Gianfornaio spoke English better than me. That was embarrassing.

Quite possibly the worst upper class lounge I have had the pleasure of visiting…read more Bottled water - as much as you like. Food? Get in line to walk past some sad cafeteria style plastic covered plates to place an order for some thing that resembles food on those plates. Oh, you think this is made to order? Absolutely not. "American breakfast". - cold and I mean straight out of fridge scrambled style egg with some spinach and cold mushrooms. Something that resembles bacon, but again questionable. Extremely disappointed. Sorry but when traveling upper class, the fee of the ticket covers an amenity of a lounge with small plates (or large), some kind of snack and lots of drinks that should be poured endlessly. The poor guy behind this counter was charged with serving both coffee / espresso drinks, juice, milk and booze. This is definitely not "happy hour". This lounge services the Star Alliance group out of Terminal 1 which I believe in this terminal comprises Lufthansa, Austrian, and SwissAir

Breakfast had scrambled eggs and bacon along with prosciutto. They make very strong coffee behind the bar. I think this was a terrible lounge before the renovation. Now all fixed up and it's very neat to see that the review has not reflected the update. I would rate this higher than most of the lounges I've been too, considering how new and less crowded it is. At lunch time families start to show up with little kids and it does get very crowded and noisy. As a business traveler with two teenage kids, I understand the concept of raising children, but now that I'm older and have kids who are quiet as mouse, I can't stand the noise as it's difficult to work. That's the only complaint about this lounge. They should have a quiet area and one for work area. But then again, not everyone can get into Polaris lounge where it does not allow family unless you all travel in business class, which we did.

We had just finished a 4 hr train ride and were HUNGRY. The entrance is outside the station, but a quick walk. Once you are inside, it's overwhelmingly filled with food galore. Everywhere you look there's an option for desserts, coffee, alcohol, sandwiches, pasta, pizza, meats, American food, Japanese food, and many other Italian specialties. Some tough decisions to be made here. So depending on your appetite, have fun! The piadina wrap came with ham, cheese, greens, tomatoes, and truffle cream. Sounds basic but that truffle cream gave it an edge and the wrap was loaded. The meatballs were so so good! Like rich fatty goodness. The meatball itself was juicy and that tomato sauce was thick and beefy. The braised beef was tender and paired with the salted potatoes and salad it was a well balanced plate. This was our first food stop in Rome and it only got better in the days to come. Great welcome to Rome meal!

I am afraid to share that it was pretty bad... We walk into the restaurant and a young man behind the counter asked us what we would like to eat. So we showed him the vouchers and he gave us somewhat a mad look. He asked us what we like to drink and what kind of baked goods we want... Having limited options we chose our baked goods ( 1 each ) and headed toward a table... After 5 mins, we got our drinks and a tray with variety of breakfast items as you can see in the picture that I posted.. It included yogurt, salami, mini buns, cheese, butter, jam and Orange juice... The salami tasted soooo bad... It tasted like it has been in vinegar getting pickled for ages... Just awful!!!! I have to be honest, but I felt like I am getting my daily share of food in a jail!!!!! Sorry Agora but you have disappointed me!

This meant that we had ample time to be introduced to several of the dishes by the owner of the restaurant, who was very gracious and enthusiastic. The layout and decoration is great, and the food even better. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the Termini area.
