Hi Joe, I saw that had responded to my review, I am aware that clients choose who they want that's obvious of course. However, the value and service from this is still subpar and many models do not really work based what was said from the models at NV modes and Talent. Recently my daughter was invited to become a model with this company. We went in for an appointment. The place of business is very nice. It's very clean, neat and beautifully decorated. The staff was very professional. They explain everything that is involved in becoming a model with their agency in detail. They have a lot of successful clients and connections there. I think anyone who is serious about modeling should consider this agency. There is an initial investment so definitely expect to pay something up front. But if you want to invest into doing this then I would recommend NV modeling agency. read more

Our daughter has been interested in modeling for awhile. I must admit, we were skeptical of any type of agency, but decided to look into this as a family. New View has surpassed all our expectations! Initially, we were there on a Saturday and the place was bustling with activity. The staff were professional, well-dressed and well-organized. We were five minutes early and our appointment started on time. We had many questions and we were pleased that every single question was answered in depth. They gave us an honest assessment of our daughter and thoroughly explained what her next year would look like if we moved forward. And we are moving forward with New View. They have been consistent role-models for our daughter, and were accurate about what we could expect in this first year. Took turns going on stage performing the script with a partner. Took turns walking down the stage individually and posed at the end. This opinion stems from my prior work in the entertainment industry, where from 2005-2008 I worked in Las Vegas as a paid background actor (film extra) via several non-exclusive agency agreements with several agencies that handled this category of non-principle casting. I do not work with New View now, nor have I ever beyond my initial "meeting." I enjoyed my work as a film extra in Las Vegas immensely. It was the most financially rewarding, emotionally gratifying, unpredictable and patience necessitating work I've ever done! Most projects asked for a 10-12 hr commitment, and had potential to span several days without stopping if you had the availability to work overtime. My completed projects included three major motion pictures (Knocked Up, Ocean's 13 and "21") the Sci-Fi Channel's Scare Tactics - Episode 308, an international commercial (pantomime) for Peroni, Italy, several national tv shows (recurring) and more. I worked alongside such humble talents as Al Pacino, Kevin Spacey, Seth Rogan, Paul Rudd, Laurence Fishburne, Kate Bosworth and Tom Bergeron. I stopped working to become a stay at home Mother, but recently decided it would be a great time to get back to it since my child is much older and I am back in pre-baby shape. I wondered if the same kinds of casting opportunities existed in little Ohio, and while my gut told me to steer clear of New View, after a year and a half of resisting my curiosity, it got the best of me. I speak from bona fide experience in the heart of entertainment country. I have worked in this industry, been paid well for it, had a great reputation for professionalism on the set, and write this review having personally worked with no less than 5 casting companies, each of whom found me exciting work, paid me in a timely manner, and charged me anywhere from 15%-20% as an agency fee per job. I was never asked to pay for registration, training classes, photos (some had their own in house studio for quick basic headshots, free) portfolios with any "required" photographers (you were expected to have your own on casting calls, industry standard! Those who showed up without them were NOT hired!) or personal improvement classes and/or tests. I joined these agencies through calling for an appointment, setting a SINGLE meeting time with a single person, showing up early, meeting the casting director and getting their approval, giving basic stats, making a comp/zed card on my own, and keeping digital files current with pics and sizes. Other agencies I was involved in through meeting their talent on sets of other projects, and networking. Great casting agents love reliable professional background actors who take their work seriously despite only being in the background. Background actors can really mess up a scene if they don't follow the director's instructions, and waste a lot of time and money with seemingly innocent slip ups, so networking was my friend. My best agency came to me in this manner! New View. I stopped by their Fairfield Mall booth to ask if they handled film extra work. The young woman had no idea, but took my number promising a call with someone who would know. Someone named Carley called me. I explained my background, stated I was not a model, but would love to get back into part time film extra work. She assured me they handled that kind of work, and asked me to come in and sit down with her director, Bridgette. Because I live over an hour away, I made sure to verify her agency was not one that tries to sell classes etc, stressing the over 1 hr. distance. She assured me I would not need my wallet, subtly dancing around the truth I would later discover. I even called back to be sure, rewording my concerns. Nothing but assurance they were legitimate and didn't try to sell me anything. I was somehow never convinced of her honesty; I would later learn why. Upon arrival, I discovered my meeting was not personal as implied, but a group event where I would take turns playing "model" with star struck teenagers, then endure a long group lecture about how they expect every model to pay for classes in order to be "signed" and how that is completely legit to "protect their reputation", how portfolios are not industry standard, and how I can set yet another appointment to talk to Bridgette (this time for real?) if I'm ready to commit financially. Sigh. Really? This behavior is exactly what I wanted to avoid. As a seasoned film extra, this was truly a waste of my time. I left without making a second appointment. You know what they say! "Fool me once...!" Luckily we made the most of the trip and had a fun family day exploring Cinci, with this review brewing in the back of my mind all the while! There, that felt good! Much better. If this helps even one person get the direct answers the agency doesn't wish to share with you until you're a captive audience I will consider the whole ordeal time well spent. I have worked with New View for over 4 years now. I was originally signed by Joe and now work with Chester as my main agent. I signed with my first agency at 12 years old and in my nearly 16 years in the industry I have had my fair share of good and bad experiences. New View continues to exceed my expectations with their professionalism, experience, and honesty. I am currently signed with 3 different agencies in other markets and New View is the only agency that makes me feel special. I know they have LOTS of other hardworking and more successful models than myself, yet they never fail to treat me like I'm their only model! If you want to model or act it is imperative to understand that you have to be willing to make an investment in your career. New View has NEVER asked me to spend money on things that didn't benefit my career, and they have always been understanding of my budget and what I am willing/able to spend on my portfolio or on training. New View works with major high paying commercial brands and they're not going to ruin they're reputation by sending out models who are unprepared without a professional portfolio or reel (and you certainly can't expect to book jobs without those things). The negative reviews about being asked to spend money are clearly written by people who don't understand that. New View has become like a family to me, and even though I no longer live in their market they still regularly submit me for direct booking opportunities and I feel comfortable reaching out to them about even the smallest of things. I am confident that they will always fight for my best interest and I know that when I arrive on a job, not only will I be safe and cared for but my pay will be fair. Their connections in the industry are immense and if you are willing to put in the work, they will work for you every step of the way. read more

Based on our experience, we chose NV Models and have not had a single regret in that decision. After a short time of brushing up on her skills, my daughter fell right into the Cincinnati scene and is again enjoying her modeling career. I've been freelancing in the city of Pittsburgh for about a year before I decided I wanted to audition for an agency. Mind you, I have gotten paid gigs and have been published in a bridal magazine. I submitted pictures online and got an email back from the owner who couldn't give me any information about the company until days later when I was referred to someone else. I drove 4 AND 1/2 HOURS. After about 10 minutes of reading a commercial and taking a few pictures I was brought into an office by a woman and told how "marketable" I was and how much I could grow within their company. Sounded great. I was told a few success stories and then told I was needed to talk business. I was told I needed to pay $2,000 in order to receive "coaching" over an 18-week program. I already have a modeling portfolio and comp cards and this cost wouldn't even cover things of that matter. I have been published and had 0 interest in having "modeling classes" This would cost me a $700 deposit plus the cost of driving 4 hours every single weekend. I was also told I would need to dye my hair and was recommended their "colorist" because the woman told me that "you don't see blondes in magazines". I was told I would need to pay this $2,000 before I could even be represented and this had to be within a week of meeting with the woman. Point blank this business is a SCAM that only wants to waste your money and time and the agents only want your commission. No legitimate agency would require you to pay an exuberant amount of money for classes that you don't need. Also half the people that are models with the company are also people that work at the corporate office. STAY AWAY. read more

I was stopped in a mall in Dayton, OH by a modeling scout back in 2008 with one of my close friends. I received a phone call from the Agency fairly soon, about a week or so, and came in for a group informative meeting with a few other people who had been stopped in malls or scouted individually. The Director of the agency was there and she gave us a rundown of what New View does as an agent and how they are looking for all different types of people who are interested in doing commercials, magazine print work, catalog print work, runway shows, etc.. In the Ohio / Midwest area. It's nothing like New York, Miami, or Chicago, but it is a legitimate business and I've since then signed and worked many jobs through them. There have been a few people who have worked at New View since I've been there that weren't the best of people... But thank God that the owner, Joe Guerrera, IS amazing and weeded those sales pushing selfish people out!! New View is under new leadership now and it's a totally different place then it used to be! I consider my fellow models my family and its always heartwarming to run into each other in castings, auditions, and bookings! So I do have to say though that not everyone can be a model with New View. While they do open the door for ALL that are interested and have a dream, it really comes down to the work ethic and the attitude of that individual... I was a chubby, shy, yet bright 19 year old, about to start college when I was interviewed. I thought, "I'm not buff or attractive enough to model..." But after going though training, taking the advice from my agents, and making some great changes in my life, I lost weight by getting in shape, I also changed a lot of bad habits and learned how to interact with so many different types of people! That's when the jobs started rolling in like crazy and not a moment before. It's sad when I hear people speak poorly about my New View.. They only do so because they didn't listen to the coaching they were given, expecting instead to be pampered and handed money and jobs like they were a super star.. You get turned into a super star from the inside out here and then the work finds you like a moth to a flame. It's truly been one of the best life altering choices I've made. That's from my heart. I love the staff of New View. And I love my fellow models I get to work with. They are all my family. Loving, selfless, deeply caring, beautiful, inside and out. If you're looking for an agency to start your modeling, acting, or business career, I recommend this place. But you're gonna have to make in the door first these days, by really wanting it for yourself. Give them a call! And ask for the Director of "Director of 'New Faces'". I have been with new view as a model for a couple years now and couldn't be happier. They make me feel like family and get me lots of constant work! They are extremely professional with how they get my checks to me and how the send me my bookings. They are the number agency in the surrounding areas (more than just in Ohio!) everyone of their models loves them. The way they truly put their models first as a PERSON instead of just a source of paycheck is priceless. I am signed with numerous agents across the nation and model full time for several years so I have experienced the industry and can guarantee these people are a class act, a great source of income, wonderful castings to attend, and more. If anyone has a bad review I just assume it is because they were not cut out for the modeling world and/or couldn't take modeling criticism (which new view provides in an extremely positive and loving way to help you grow unlike some agencies!) love love love them and plan to be with them for many more years. read more

New View Modeling is an absolute scam. They stopped my mother in the mall because she had a "look" that would be great for modeling. My mother asked if there were any fees in order to get involved. The girl said no - lie number 1. So we signed up for a meeting a week later. We show up with about 10 other "models" and they had them individually do poses on a stage with music playing. Everyone was all hyped up because they were experiencing what it was like to be a model. Then the lady began talking about how all New View's money is generated from 20% of what modeling jobs you book - lie number 2. After she was done with her little presentation, she had the participants take home a script to practice (like a practice commercial) then we were suppose to come back a week later to discuss how New View felt about the poses you did on stage and recite the script. So a week later we came back and the lady said my mother had a lot of talent And they really liked her. Then, she subtly brought up a "$1,700 dance prep class" that everyone needed to take. My mother and I were immediately sketched out. So I asked for a copy of the contract that we needed to sign and it basically said that when we sign we were acknowledging that my mother may not get any modeling jobs but we were going to pay "$1,700" for these BS classes. Of course we said no. (Side note- the little script they had her memorize was just another hype scam. My mother memorized it, but all the lady did was take out her phone and record her reciting it. It was just a gig they used to make us come back so they could drop the "$1,700 dance prep" class on us). (1) Essentially New View lied twice about having to pay anything at all; (2) they had the contestants walk up and down an isle, pose, and rehearse a script so they would get excited about being a model, so that way, when we came back we would be more inclined to believe that we had a chance at actually booking a job. This whole process was shady and a scam! I feel sorry for those people who pay for this. This is a terrible way to make a living, that is, exploiting innocent, hard working individual's false hope about being a model so they will throw money at you with the small chance that it'll actually become a reality. So if you get stopped in the mall by New View and they say that you don't pay anything, just know it's a straight lie and all they want is your money. read more

Rip off. Paid $2500 for basically nothing. Moved my life for a dream. They give a 2 day notice for events and expect you to be able to just work it out because this is a business. So I make the time and they cancel the shoot AT 11 pm the night before the shoot. My time is valuable and I do not appreciate the way I have been treated with new view. I do not recommend if you are an adult who works to make a living. Very unrealistic. read more

New View has represented my daughter since she was 6 and she is now 20. They have been great for each of the age groups she has been involved in. They always keep us informed of bookings and opportunities, they have never sent us anywhere that isn't a top reputable client and they are always easy to work with. As a parent you are always skeptical of model agencies, New View is top notch and every client we have worked with over the years speaks very highly of them too. Modeling (as some people forget..) is a JOB and so it may or may not be for everyone. Not everyone will get every job, it just doesn't work that way, so you are bound to get people who are disappointed with their "results'. It's like saying every kid who plays little league baseball will be a major league player. They will help you be the best you can be, and then it's up to you, and the client to decide who gets the bookings. They will train you with what you need to know to succeed in the industry, IF you're willing to work hard and understand that the industry doesn't OWE you anything. My daughter has enjoyed learning about acting, fashion, makeup and it has helped her for her own personal life and development over the years too. The interview and business training helped her feel more confident for college interviews as well. New View is a great agency but also a great place for other reasons. read more

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE!!!! i was talking to them over email.. they would always email me back.. i told them my biggest concer was money. they said oh no you don't pay nothing keep your money at home. So i went to the interview that the girl said was "special" because it was one on one. anyways she told me i would need to take there classes which was up $2,000 i just laughed. Then the girl was on her phone dealing with other things, running in and out of the office to deal with other people like hello i'm here to work for you! Your not dealing with this the right way. so anyways i told her i'd get back to get. well i emailed the girl i was emailing before telling them i wouldn't be joining at this time... not one email back saying thank you for coming to interview anyways, or hope to see you in future!!! Total waste of time! Don't tell me to leave my money at home then when were face to face tell me i need to pay money to take classes to be "professiona!"
