Based on the pictures, I knew it was the truck I wanted. Since April, I made two trips to the dealership hoping to see and test drive it. I also spoke with a salesman, Kevin Servellon, several times by phone and stayed in contact with him through email. Every time, he assured me he would contact me as soon as the truck was ready. On July 3, 2026, I drove by the dealership and saw the truck sitting out front. I immediately called Kevin. When I couldn't reach him after two calls, I called the dealership directly. That's when I was told the truck had already been sold to someone who was willing to buy it "as is." What makes this so disappointing is that I was never given that same opportunity. I had been patiently waiting for months, staying in regular contact, and relying on Kevin's repeated promise that he would notify me when the truck was available. Instead, I found out it had been sold without so much as a phone call or email. When I expressed my disappointment, I was told that Kevin talks to 30 or 40 people every day. I was one of those people--but unlike a casual inquiry, I had been consistently following up for months and had visited the dealership twice in person. This experience reflects very poor communication and customer service. If a salesperson makes a commitment to keep a serious buyer informed, they should honor that commitment. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here, and I left feeling that my time and loyalty meant nothing.

At 10:00 AM the next morning, I let them know I was ready to buy that day if they would send me an out-the-door quote and emphasized I was in a hurry because a 10K manufacturer's incentive ended the next day and I had to drive 3 hours the next day to their dealership. I heard nothing back, followed up around 2:00 PM, was told something would be sent in a couple of minutes, followed up again after 3:00 PM, and received an all-caps response saying, "PUTTING SOMETHING TOGETHER RN." Shortly after that, they sent a quote for a Hyundai Tucson instead of the IONIQ 5 Limited I had been asking about the entire time. I then complained about the wasted time and got a quick response saying, "okay let me look into it," but then heard nothing further. What made this worse is that when my wife separately inquired and was even allowed to move toward placing a $1,000 deposit, the vehicle was later said to be sold after she repeatedly asked not to be bait-and-switched given that we had to drive three-hours to get there. Based on the conflicting responses we received, this raised serious concern about whether the vehicle was actually available when it was first represented to us. Very poor communication, poor follow-through, and not the way a serious dealership should handle ready-to-buy customers.

Even after I moved an hour away, I only went to them for simple oil changes, inspections, etc.. I was a loyal customer. Out of the blue one day Fertitta calls saying they can get me in a newer vehicle for the same or lower payments. Instead of doing my homework on the new name, I dove straight in thinking I could still trust their word as I had with Norman Frede. They let me test drive a new truck and told me I'd be able to have the same payments as my current vehicle.. so I said why not. Well a few weeks down the road when I set up my account it was not in fact the same payment. Then when I spoke to Tonia she was talking to me like I was stupid with her "Oh honey" and laughing. They bamboozled me 100%. And icing on the cake, when I went to get my plates, the girl behind the desk just handed them to me. First time I've ever purchased a vehicle and not had them put the plates on. You would think after my years of loyalty there would be someone who cared enough to make it right. I've spoken to a few dealerships about my situation and they all told me I was screwed over bad. So if you were a long time Norman Frede buyer, save your time and money and look elsewhere first. The messed up part is I wasn't even looking. They called me.

I say that with complete confidence after what turned into a long day visiting multiple dealerships, and I can honestly say this was the **best car-buying experience I've ever had**. For context, I am not new to purchasing vehicles. I do my research, I know what I want, and I came prepared. I had already identified the exact vehicle from online inventory and was ready to buy that same day--the last day of the month, no less. My day started at Southwest Genesis, and unfortunately, it went downhill quickly. Instead of listening to what I asked for--a GV70 well under $60K--I was left waiting, only for the salesperson to pull up in a freshly washed GV80 priced around $76K. It was clear they were more interested in upselling me than respecting my request. When I insisted on the GV70, I repeatedly encountered "mistakes" on worksheets--sales price, trade-in value, numbers that somehow always worked in their favor. The final straw? I was told the online price I had *just* seen (and had proof of) was suddenly $4,000 higher. The explanation provided by Manager Crystal Kanu involving pricing adjustments didn't align with what I had in front of me, and no effort was made to make it right. It felt like a constant attempt to slip things past me rather than earn my business. Hoping for a better experience, I headed to Genesis of West Houston--and unfortunately, things didn't improve. Before even confirming whether they had a vehicle I was interested in, the conversation immediately turned to my finances, monthly payment expectations, and personal details. That's backwards. I wasn't about to discuss numbers on a car I hadn't even seen. Frustrated, I left. At that point, I debated calling it a day--but I'm incredibly glad I didn't. I called Demontrond Genesis of Clearlake, and that's when everything changed. Michelle Guerrero answered the phone, and from the very first moment, she did something no one else had done all day--**she listened**. I'll admit, by then I was beyond frustrated, but Michelle remained calm, professional, and reassuring. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and even began preparing options before I arrived. From the moment I got there, the experience was completely different. The team was welcoming, organized, and--most importantly--transparent. There was no pressure, no games, no "mistakes." Everything was clearly laid out on paper without me having to ask. The entire process felt collaborative, not adversarial. Michelle is exceptional. She is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure you are comfortable and informed. She took the time to walk through every feature of the vehicle and made sure I felt confident in my decision. Even after the purchase, she has followed up multiple times over the past couple of weeks--something that speaks volumes about her commitment to her customers. The finance team was equally impressive--professional, straightforward, and never pushy. Every step of the process reinforced that this dealership understands something the others clearly do not: **this is a people business, not just a car business**. Looking back, I can honestly say I'm grateful things didn't work out at the other dealerships because it led me to Michelle and her team. I will go out of my way to recommend Demontrond Genesis of Clearlake to anyone in the market for a vehicle. They have earned my trust, my business, and my referrals for years to come. If you value professionalism, transparency, and truly top-tier customer service--go to Clearlake. Avoid the frustration elsewhere and start where you'll be treated right the first time.

LOOK IT UP. THE PARENT COMPANY IS KEN GARFF AUTO GROUP Wednesday 07/01/26 Early Afternoon called Big Star CJDR and spoke to the salesman Jonathon Padilla. I asked about a 2025 Chevrolet Z71 Suburban that they had listed for $60,820.00 online with Carfax and on their Dealership website. I had also made an online inquiry. Stock Number - SR283775W VIN - 1GNS6DRDXSR283775 After speaking with Jonathon, he was going to check the availability and get back with me. I told him I could come out that afternoon to look at the vehicle. Late that afternoon Jonathon called me and asked if I was going to be able to come out and look at the suburban. It was around 5:30 PM and told him at that point it was getting late. He said that if I would drive the 1 1/2 hours that we would fill up my truck with a full tank of gas. I decided to go ahead and go look at the Suburban. It was raining hard and traffic was bad. I called Jonathon and told him it would be close to 7:30 before I could get there knowing they closed at 8 PM. Jonathon told me he had a family emergency and had to leave the dealership but he had given my information to a young man by the name of Kevin. When I arrived, Kevin met me in the lobby and said he would get the Suburban and pull it around. After 10-15 minutes he came out of the glassed in sale center with a young lady who said she was a sales manager. She said they had a problem. The Suburban was still in line to be serviced and the keys were locked up and they could not get to them. She said that I could look at it but I could not drive the vehicle. Luckly, they had left one of the doors unlocked so we were able to get inside the Suburban and look at it. After Kevin and I looked at the Suburban we went back inside where he printed off the Carfax report and the window sticker for the vehicle. I asked Kevin to get me a deal sheet with the out the door price based off the advertised price of $60,820.00. Kevin said he could not get a deal sheet, but that Jonathon could get it for me in the morning. Which I thought was strange since there was still a sale manager there. I told him to have Jonathon to put the deal sheet together and send it to me in the morning. I also asked about the missing running boards that were listed on the Suburban's window sticker. He said he would find out. Thursday 07/02/2026 I did not get any communications from Jonathon after that. I called his cell and there was no answer. I called the dealership 3 times asking for him and continued to get put into Voice Mail. I called a fourth time and he answered. He told me that he was checking on the running boards and the deal sheet and would call me right back. At this point my wife and I were heading to your dealership with intentions of driving and buying the Suburban. Jonathon called me back and said there was a problem. He said that the price had been changed now to $65,216 plus Document fees which totaled $65,441. A $4,396.00 price change. I checked the Carfax and dealer website, and it was still listed for $60,820. I asked him how this could happen. When I looked up the pricing history online it actually had the Suburban listed at $60,595. Now we have a third price. 06/30/2026 - 07/01/2026 bigstardodge.com (dealer) Used $60,595 6.6% 25,580 miles 1 days Jonathon apologized repeatedly. And said he did not understand what had happened. He said that he was going to have his Manager John call me. I asked to speak with the GM to get an explanation and Jonathon said he did not know who the GM was. I told him that I was pulling over off the highway into a parking lot and would wait for John to call. I never got that call. At that point we started to head home since I had my wife with me and going to the dealership was not going to be pretty. Later in the afternoon I received a call from a lady who identified herself as Erin. She said that she understood that I wanted to speak with the GM.

I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership over the July 4 weekend. Normally I do not give…read morea five star ratings to business as it usually requires them to go above and beyond what One would expect. This was actually the case with Clear Lake Autoworld. It's a little things To begin the inventory that they have on the website is the actual inventory that they have on site at the location. Do you know that I did advanced research to determine the exact vehicle that I wanted by range of year's mileage price I knew exactly what I can get and what I should expect. So my review it's pretty comprehensive as it covers everything from the website being easy to navigate, responsiveness of the dealership from when initially contacted, actual information on the website as far as phone number and physical address, and the courtesy provided by the staff there at the dealership. What I found at this dealership is at what they say on the website as what they have. There were some big name brand dealerships that would put bait vehicles on the website and when I called they were so conveniently have just so that vehicle, but then the next day or two that exact vehicle will be back up on their website again You also have the issue of either private sellers or dealers not posting on the website that the title on the vehicle was either salvage or that the mileage was incorrect (off by 30k to 40k miles) of what they posted on the website. All of it just gimmicks to get someone in the door and on the ground so that they can try to sell you something that you don't want. Additionally, you have all these dealerships that do not accept cash offers. Other dealerships wanna try to scam you into the financing to where they make money off you more there than actually selling you the vehicle for cash. Not so at Clear Lake Autoworld, they do have financing available but had no problem excepting the cash offer. As far as pricing goes the price I alternately paid was a fair price. Kelley blue book provides a range of what you should expect to pay for a vehicle and though it wasn't on the lowest Clear Lake Autoworld was not on the high end either. They were right in the middle with spare pricing on the vehicle. The other issue I found very positive is the vehicles being sold at Clear Lake Autoworld are in great condition. I can't tell you how many vehicles I went to go see that had great pictures but when I got there the dealerships or the sellers had laid some cut out carpet over the actual carpet upholstery of the vehicle so that the picture was nice. But of course when you picked up that overlay carpet The vehicles actual carpet was all tore up or the interior just must not in good condition. Just like a selfie Dealers no it's all about the angle. But not so at Clear Lake Autoworld what you saw in the pictures was what you saw when you arrived. They also went above and beyond and made sure that when I was going to pick up my vehicle they did one last check mechanically of the vehicle, insured no engine lights were on I would come on, or wherever even there, plus they did a oil change and filter change and they also ensure that they were new floor mats included. This is a little above and beyond that I'm talking about. As you know when you buy a used vehicle you're expecting to buy a new floor mats anyway. But Clear Lake Autoworld did that for me as a little extra. Not saying that's what I do for everyone but that is my experience with them. As far as dealing with the staff there Shane and Linda were great. Very down to earth people, telling you what they have and doing their best for you. Appreciate their honesty, straightforwardness, and just willingness to be helpful And making the car buying experience as pleasant as possible. So I will definitely when I start looking for a new used vehicle whenever that is next Clear Lake Autoworld will definitely be the first place I stopped to see and check their inventory. Never know what kind of germs you can find there is what I'm thinking.

I'd called in the prior day with a specific car and model in mind to get an idea of the cost, and I was setup with an appointment with James for the next day. We had to switch the times a bit, but it wasn't a big deal as it fit my schedule. I still came in a bit earlier than our agreed upon time with my sister (who'd given me a ride), and I was prepared to make the purchase that day as long as the final test drive and pricing worked out for me. The test drive of course ticked all the boxes I had, and James did a phenomenal job with explaining all of the vehicle features. I'd done some research, but he walked through each item and gave me more knowledge than I had coming into the dealership. Even a small point as sitting in the backseat so my sister could ride in the front passenger seat was a nice considerate touch. Sitting at the desk had me a bit nervous as this is only my 2nd vehicle purchase at a dealership, but James walked me through the different steps and we were aligned on the price, so it was a breeze. From there I worked a bit with Courtney Simon to go through additional options and signing everything to make the purchase official, and that phase of the process was equally as pleasant and easy. At the end, James took care of putting on the license plates and handed me the keys -- if I recall correctly, the entire experience from initially meeting James to walking out the door took about 2 hours. I'm very happy with the purchase and the experience. Thanks again James and Courtney!
