We wanted to try a restaurant local to our home address and Müller Bräu couldn't be much closer. The food was good, but we were overcharged for the wine. We were charged 45 euros for a bottle of wine that at retail would have cost 7 euros. There was no price list for bottles of wine and we were not advised by the waiter of the cost until we received the hand written bill on a piece of paper from a taxi company.
When we confronted the waiter, who was pushy about getting a tip, we were given 10 euros back, 5 of which was actually our tip. The fact that he was so willing to give money back indicates to me that he was taking advantage of the fact that we do not speak German and assumed wouldn't know better.
This is one local to be avoided at all cost. A shame. as everything else about the place we enjoyed. read more
