We spotted this restaurant while walking around Strasbourg and looking for a place to have lunch that would have a lot of vegetarian and some vegan options - for my partner.
Upon walking in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, and after checking our COVID QR code, were seated. The menu was reasonably sized and although some typical Vietnamese dishes, notably Pho soups, were absent, presented an abundance of choice.
We decided on a pair of spring rolls as a starter, and noodle-based main dish, with marinated pork meat for me and tofu for my partner. And we were very pleasantly surprised. Spring rolls were positively ginormous and the peanut sauce they came with was delicious. Main dish had an abundance of vegetables and and an amazing sauce, whereas marinated grilled meat that came with mine was legitimately one of the best pork I've tasted in a while.
As a desert I ordered Vietnamese coffee and glutenous rice with banana. Although slightly unusual, the glutenous rice was delicious and was cooked in a banana leaf. Similarly, coffee was really positively delicious.
The internal decoration was tasteful and minimalistic - heavily focused on wooden motives and masks, but also presenting massive window walls that gave a great view on the street and an abundance of natural light.
Overall, a great and cosy location that we are looking forwards to coming back at the next opportunity. read more
