I've never been loyal to a hair dresser before, except back in the young days when my mum took me to the same place every time before I was old enough to pay for my own hair cuts but I really enjoyed my experience with Lynne, the owner of the salon. You guys that know me, know that I am pretty poor so I was on the look out for a cut and blow dry that wasn't going to cost me a fortune and I found it at Hands On. I initialy came here on my last stop at every local hair dressers to me as everyone else didn't have rokm at the inn. Upon entry I was greeted by a young woman who kindly told me that they could fit me in right away and I was seated for a short wait couple of minutes until my hair dresser was finished her lunch break. Shortly afterwards, I was seated in front of the mirror and Lynne gave me a broef consulation on my hair and asked me what it was I wanted. Me not being fussed, I let her have at it since she's the professional and I don't have the first clue. I got my hair washed (heavenly) and trimmed to good health then dried by the granny dryer and then a quick blow dry and we left my hair in it's natural curly style all the while I munched a biscuit and had some coffee. :-) I'm definitely coming here again as it was cheap, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable!

I am not a big fan of Serendipity I must admit. The reason why? I quite like having eyebrows and…read morebeing a normal healthy looking colour. I shall explain. I am lucky enough to have relatively well behaved eyebrows. They don't give me too much bother. They aren't massively bushy or out of control. Occasionally, however I'll go to a beauty salon to get them waxed to perfection for a big event. On such an occasion I went to Serendipity and specifically stated that I like my eyebrows as they are and I just wanted them tidied up a bit. Apparently the beauty therapist disagreed and decided to do her own thing and I ended up with next to no eyebrows left! Thankfully they grew back relatively normal looking but I've heard that some peoples never grow back how the originally were! Arrrrggh! I really should have learnt my lesson from this but I returned to Serendipity for a spray tan and again I gave very specific instructions. I said that I have very pale skin and don't want to go overboard with the fake tan because it just doesn't look right on me. The tan lady said that was fine, she would just give me a nice healthy glow. What I got was a horrible, sickly DayGlo! I was so embarrassed! Once bitten, twice shy so I won't be back to Serendipity for any future beauty treatments! However they do sell a nice little selection of Yankee Candle products and Bare Minerals Make-up and as I am a huge fan of both I do pop in a make the odd purchase from time to time

On my 5th visit she very badly burnt my skin. This was very painful for weeks and started to scab. When I went back to see her she said this was normal and I should carry on with my treatment's. I saw my doctor and got a second opinion from a professional beauty therapist, both confirmed that my skin was burnt due to negligence. I am very annoyed with the way I was treated by Sharon. She misled me, didn't take any blame for her negligence or apologise. It's been 7 months since she burnt me and I still have the scar. If anyone is getting any treatment from her please STOP before she scar's you. Don't believe what she tell's you do your own homework.
