There is a dike that cuts off the shallow end of the lake when the water level is low. It's cold clean waters are fed from an underground spring. It used to be a great spot for fishing, but now it's just ok. Navajo is a great spot for kids, though. It is mostly hatchery fish with very little hold over fish. I have been catching a lot of chubs up there the past few years and that seems to slow the fishing down. There is a "hot spot" if you rent a boat. I don't need to tell you where it is, you will see all of the other boats there. It also has a bike trail that goes around the lake that seems to be pretty popular. Early morning and late night, a worm or power bait will do the trick.

Saw a guy in a wet suit and flippers, diving into the water to recover discs that had fallen. I lost two discs here on hole 8. Sad day. The park itself was quiet midday when I arrived. It's well kept and maintained. The grounds keeper was onsite maintaining it during my time there.

I called Kelly outfitters and Steve was a great help from the moment he took my call. We had a doggie with us who hitched the ride for no charge Steve took his time to show us all the landmarks on the way up. Gave us some history lesson about the river and Lee's Ferry. He took us all the way up to the Dam before he dropped us off on the beach. We spent 2 days on the river and every time he passed us he slowed down to check up on us.
