Chicken kabob with mixed green salad, hummus, garlic sauce, Shirazi salad
    Cara C.

This place is great! The food was delicious, fresh, tasty, cooked and prepared well. The team was friendly and kind, and the place is bright, open, and inviting. Don't sleep on this place, Santa Monica! Had the chicken kabob, with salad, hummus, garlic sauce and Shiraz salad. And I nice touch was the complimentary spa water (water w cucumber & lemon) will most certainly be back!

Stopped in as I live right around the corner and hadn't heard of this spot yet, and I'm really glad I went. It's the perfect casual Mediterranean addition to the neighborhood. It tasted fresh, the chicken was juicy and seasoned beautifully. Everyone was so kind, and they keep the entire restaurant very clean. Overall, just a very nice place to be, with nice people, and good food. 5/5 no notes

Fast and kind service. Solid vegan options which is a great win. Highly recommend the dolmas and the lentil soup!

The food was absolutely delicious! It is beyond fresh, they have great sized portions and the quality is amazing. The staff were friendly and very welcoming, which elevated the experience. They also gave many great recommendations to try from!! It is the best Mediterranean food I've had and they have a wide selection to choose from. The environment was great as well and I am definitely going back, I highly recommend Mysa!!

Ordered the chicken kabob plate and WOW! Flavorful moist and very generous portions, I've been looking for a good Mediterranean restaurant. Great options for coffee.

This is my 2nd time eating here in the past week and I can't get enough! The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming just like their employees, Alexis made the absolute best Caramel Latte that I've ever had in my life. Don't even get me started on the Halal Filet....you can really taste the difference. Highly recommend and will be back next week :)

The ordering process is simple: you order and pay at the cashier, receive a number, and the staff brings the food directly to your table. It was smooth and efficient, even for our group of eight. They were very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable, which we really appreciated. There's street parking available, which made it convenient as well. The salad was a full portion size and perfectly served. The dark meat chicken shawarma was tender and delicious and the salad had just the right amount of BBQ sauce dressing. Prices are reasonable and competitive. Portion sizes are larger than most. Service was very good. I even saw a couple of people using the place as a work station where they can work on their laptop while enjoying a wonderful lunch or snack. Overall, a gem of a place not to be missed and to enjoy. It is Israeli food, but also quite American as well. It has a wonderful Mediterranean flare. All of their food is Kosher, which is always nice and all of it is just great. The menu is not huge, but it does not need to be. They have something for everyone. We love the service. Some of the servers have been there awhile and they know everything and if you are looking for other Kosher places or even a Temple if you are a visitor, they have you covered. The servers are always smiling and are great with kids. It is super family friendly. We love all their food, but a must have is their Matza Ball soup. It is perfection from the soup to the Matza Ball. You can get it in a cup or bowl. We have been here a few times over the years, sometimes for breakfast and other times for lunch. Their Shakshukah is a great way to start your morning. It is a wonderful breakfast item. It comes with eggs and salad with a great home made tomato sauce. They also have just eggs if you want. For lunch we love the Israeli Vegetables Salad, which has Finely cut assorted vegetables with lemon dressing, tomatoes and cucumber. It is the bomb. If you want to be daring, get their combination salad, which is a combination of all their salads. It is so good. Their Humus is great and has a wonderful lemon juice and olive oil. All of their Pita sandwiches are tasty as well. Another favorite is their grilled salmon. It is cooked perfectly and you will love the fresh flavor. There is not one thing not to like here, so go and have fun and relax.

The beauty of Mediterranean food is that it's perfect to share with large groups. Because I had some fellow vegetarians (and veg friendly people) with me, ordering was quite fun. We almost ordered every vegetarian mezze, which included: Mezze sampler: the Muhammara was my favorite of them all and the naan was amazing. Very soft, but flavorful. Sprouted cauliflower: interesting way they made it. Golden tahini had a nice touch. Pickled vegetables: loved them Greek fries: can't go wrong with that Roasted sweet potato: surprisingly quite good and a very different palate from the fries. Baked feta: interesting, but this wasn't a fan favorite amongst the group. While our non-vegetarian colleagues enjoyed the octopus, we were nearly full with just the mezze. We decided to go ahead and order the mushroom skewers while the other side enjoyed the tomahawk. Everyone was full after all this food. The cocktails kept flowing. I stuck with just one Urfa mezcalita while enjoying the views for the remainder of the night. This lasted until dessert where plenty were ordered. I got a chocolate gelato not realizing I'd get two scoops. Sadly I could only finish one scoop. Anyhow, there are heaters all over the rooftop so that people can enjoy throughout the year. They do have to crank it up as needed, but it's there. Can't mention price much because this was work sanctioned, but it was a great decision.

We loved the hummus spread, so good! I opted for beer, but how to choose? Well she made me a mini flight - I opted for the hefe. And when another table mate ordered a round of house tequila shots, I wasn't expecting one of the smoothest tequilas I've ever had as the option. Plus it was a generous pour. The views were spectacular, and while we were basically outside, there are plenty of space heaters to make you feel cozy. I highly recommend making reservations as this is a popular spot. Overall one of my favorite evenings from service, to dining, and the drinks.

Since that time, I have eaten falafel not only in different LA locations but also at locations across the country while living in NYC. If you don't like falafel, you just haven't tried Hungry Pocket yet. I will edit this review if I find better falafel or if Hungry Pocket has changed/changes their recipe (will be visiting tomorrow for quality assessment purposes). The ambiance is that of a hole in the wall that you only know about if you went to SMC or know someone who went to SMC. You don't want anything to change because the whole point is that it feels like a hole in the wall that no one knows about. The service is direct.
