I've been seeing Tracy Thorne for years. She's addressed digestive issues, hormone changes due to…read moregetting older, sleep issues, whiplash related to a car accident, and work stress.
I used to go every week. Now, I go about every 2-3 months. And, I feel so much better every time!
The thing about acupuncture is that it treats your whole system. I tried to see traditional doctors for chronic stomachaches but nothing helped. They kept suggesting Pepto and acid reducers which led me to rely fully on them.
Only when I saw Tracy Thorne, did I start feeling better -- and within a couple of weeks! She did a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan which included my diet, how much I exercise, stress reducers, yoga suggestions and discussion.
Tracy offers a blend of Chinese Medicine, Japanese Style (less is more and gentle-does it), with a background in nutrition and yoga for a very comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan, which is updated each time. And, it's all done with compassion and caring, so that I feel that she really cares about me as a person, as well as a patient.
She only sees one person at a time, and it's so gentle and quiet, great for introverts and those of us who like a spa-like experience!
Japanese Style acupuncture is perfect if you're sensitive to needles, fearful of them, a Highly Sensitive Person, an Empath, or someone who likes the less-is-more mentality. The needles are thinner and Japanese-Style acupuncturists use way fewer needles!
During times when I've felt more sensitive, she holds them above my skin (and palpates my stomach to find that it really works!), or does acupressure, Moxa (very gentle heat over the skin) or cupping to increase circulation in that area.
Since seeing her, I no longer live on Pepto, no longer feel exhausted at 3:00 p.m., and sleep so much better!
I highly, highly recommend Tracy Thorne for anyone who wants a superb acupuncturist who is sensitive to the needs of her patients.
