Not a good experience. I would not recommend based on our personal experience . We worked with Myron during a recent home search & offer. My husband & I have both owned properties and this was the most DIFFICULT experience we have personally had working with a realtor. ISSUES 1. COMMUNICATION & Follow-Through. There were several occasions when we felt we needed to follow up for clarification or next steps. 2. Showing SCHEDULE We were flexible with scheduling, but he CHANGE showing times. consistency, reliability & timely scheduling are very important during actively making a offer 3. ACCURACY of Information He told us that the property inspection had been completed about 2 weeks earlier. When we reviewed the reports ourselves, we noted that the inspections were done months earlier and not weeks. When we asked about the discrepancy, Myron explained that he had confused the timing with another property. 4. OFFER Process During the offer process, questions arose regarding lender requirements. We did not feel we received enough clarity from him on some of these issues, & I did additional research to better understand the requirements and had to call the lender myself. 5. Property Listed After Cancellation We were surprised that another property was later included on the broker's list of properties potentially subject to continuing compensation. Most of our discussions regarding that property had been for comparison purposes, & from our perspective, the guidance we received discouraged us from pursuing it. We were not shown that property by Myron. 6. DIFFICULT Cancellation Process We provided written notice requesting cancellation. We were told the cancellation would be sent the following morning. When we did not receive it, we had to follow up. Buyer TIPS 1. Carefully READ the buyer representation agreement CONTRACT - particularly compensation, cancellation, Broker Involvement, & continuation provisions. 2. Independently REVIEW inspection reports, disclosures, & offer documents & ASK QUESTIONS when something is unclear. 3. Ask about an agent's EXPERIENCE 4. Keep important communications in writing. Myron is an amazing agent who made navigating the cutthroat East Bay market even a little fun! He helped us maximize a fine but not great budget and got us everything on our list in a neighborhood we had never even dreamed of. The deep extent of Myron's skill and advocacy was further revealed after our offer was accepted. During closing, several maintenance issues emerged and Myron took the lead on communications between the sellers, their agent and various contractors to help us come out ahead.
