Rarely I am greeted and if I am it's with an attitude. Today in particular the employee slammed her iPad down when we asked to pay a bill. The tone of her voice was unbelievably rude. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this location due to my previous interactions with the staff.

I've called the store and gave them my transaction information/name/phone number at least 3 times, I've called customer service and I've emailed. NOTHING. I have my receipt from the purchase and the return. No one cares. I've contacted my credit card company to file a dispute, and just faxed them a copy of my receipt. I gave the customer service one last call yesterday, and was put on hold while they called the store (again) to look up my info to see what happened. I was supposed to receive a call last night after they figured out the problem to let me know if I could come into the store to just get my money back, or what. GUESS WHAT?? NO ONE called me. Shocker. I will never do business with a Maruices again. No one at this store cares about customer service. How would they like it if they returned merchandise and were still waiting to get their money back over a month later? Not to mention all the time I've spent on the phone, looking up phone numbers, email, etc.

I visited this location for the first time ever on 2/21/25. Walking in the set up was so well done,…read moreI was excited to see the whole store. It is mostly clothes that I would say are fairly priced and they do have a HUGE selection. There shelves were very low on home goods and they just had a few pieces of furniture, but what they had was nice and well-staged. At the back of the store, there is an ADORABLE vintage Mickey Mouse clock. There is no signage to say price or if it is for sale or not. I assumed not, but on my way out, I did ask the two associates at the front (younger blonde-ish lady and middle-aged darker haired lady) if it happened to be for sale. I was completely fine with a no being the answer, but the darker haired lady responded "If you want to give me $1,000 you can have it." Again, I was totally fine with a no, and assumed it probably was not for sale, I just LOVE Mickey Mouse so I wanted to be sure because it isn't every day you see something so cool. I laughed a bit at the response and headed out at that point. The same clock is available on Ebay for $250, but I would have preferred Salvation Army get paid than some random person on Ebay. After leaving, a friend informed me that a majority of the items I had noticed when I walked in that were so nicely staged, are apparently also not for sale. And that staff being turned off by people asking about prices on those items often result in the same attitude back that I experienced. Again, totally fine if you don't want to sell people things, but signs would be nice or a kind response when people ask. I am a pretty firm believer in signage goes a long way, so if staff is going to be put off by people asking if something is or isn't for sale, I would recommend adding some "not for sale" signs around the store. No reason to be snarky with people asking if things are available or not. There are probably better options of places to shop and have a better experience with staff and a more straightforward shopping experience-and where you can still support great causes!
