Sharron is the most helpful employee MyPlace Storage has had in a while, and I've had my things in storage here for 3 years.

This is only my second time being here and my first time flying out of this airport…read more Other than the usual grumpy TSA employees, it was a really enjoyable experience today. It's a beautiful airport. I loved all the art displayed throughout the terminal, and I especially appreciated that they have a sensory room available. Little things like that make such a difference. Airports can feel rushed and overwhelming, so it was nice to see a space intentionally created for calm in the middle of all the chaos.

I travel a lot for work so I am in and out of airports and I must nice I LOVE this airport. This…read morewas my first time at the Birmingham airport-Shuttlesworth airport(named after Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth the civil rights activist) when you walk in your baggage claim is downstairs and you get to the plane from the second floor. TSA pre check is offered as well as clear so if you have those services you can get through the airport rather quickly. You arrive to terminal C which branches off to the various terminals that house American Airlines. You see so many options and beautiful artwork. It's full of history and beautiful plants. The shopping experience is nice you have about four shops to choose from and many vending machines from hot noodles to cakes. It's a small airport but it has everything you need to make your travel experience a great one. They even have a sensory room you can utilize. All and all great time I would fly from this airport again.

This Aloft is a bit of a lifesaver if you come to town hoping to stay in an area where you can walk…read moreto things like coffee shops, smoothie shops and restaurants (even some clothing and gift shops). Reception staff is extremely welcoming, even when you come down in the morning to go about your day. It's kind of nice. They give you water and a box of snacks at check-in. If you've stayed at an Aloft before, you know the rooms are basic, but comfortable and no exceptions here. Great bed/linens, Dry Bar products (wish the soap dispensers weren't so high in the showers. Some of us are under 5'5") The gym is fine, albeit tiny with 2 treads, 1 elliptical and 1 stationery bike and 1 bench with a set of weights. Luckily no one was ever in it when I was working out. They also have an indoor pool, which is a nice touch. Next time I'll bring a bathing suit. One thing, the sign in the room notes it's a noon check out. I had an annoyed housekeeper knock on my door at 11:45 reminding me check out was 11 and that they told me this at check-in. No, they did not. Also, I am Bonvoy Gold and typically they offer me a later check-out. The hotel didn't seem especially full during my stay. I just don't love feeling like I was taking advantage of any situation. It's as simple as changing the sign in the room. The previous times I reserved hotels in Birmingham, I was in really not great areas where you couldn't even walk to get a cup of coffee. Homewood is the area in which to stay and I'll definitely stay here again.

Overpriced and poor condition. The building is old and the rooms were terrible. The restroom door…read morecame off the track. One electric blind won't close. Walls were nasty. Shower tile looks 50 years old and not in a vintage way. Lobby looks nice but it ends there.

The room is nice and clean but the air conditioning unit is extremely loud and very distracting. The rooms are newly remodeled but the ac unit is still listening 8 track tapes in the 1970's. The bed is very lumpy but i slept very well after my 940 mile drive from Philadelphia... I also had a bad dream that my daughter was accepted to Alabama University, had a partial academic scholarship and decided to attend Bama against my advice. In the nightmare she pledged a sorority and was accepted to the top one. In my nightmare the sorority cost $4,500 a semester but included meals ... my daughter couldn't make many meals and I had a door dash bill for over $1,000 in a month... in the nightmare when my daughter would come home she would have to take a limo to the airport and each visit would cost around $1,000 in transportation... in the nightmare I had to drive to T Town many times moving her into the dorm , out of the dorm , into the hub and out of the hub into The Here and monthly rent at the Here was $1,600 ... at the end of the nightmare I added up what 4 years at UA cost and it was over $280,000 .... Fortunately when I awoke we moved her out of The Here and she graduates tomorrow with no debt and a major scholarship to a law school close to home...

Well.... It's not new, but it will certainly do!…read more I had not ever been to the Cottendale Supercharger before! It's in the parking lot of this hotel. What an excellent coincidence. C booked the room not knowing the Supercharger was back there chilling, just waiting to be handy. This may be where I stay when the Hotel Indigo is booked. It has FREE CHARGERS!!! Room was clean and well stocked. They allowed an upgrade for free even though we booked through Expedia. The staff were really nice. I got some cool Bama swag upon check in. There was only one meth head at breakfast, she was only asleep for a while before some paying guest complained. They have an outdoor pool. It's only four stories, so the elevators are fast. You know. Solid good time. Breakfast sucked, but most hotel breakfast does. They were out of pork sausage for a min, but when it came out it was actually really good. I don't partake in any of the breads, factory omelette, or the other limp items. Coffee machine in the lobby makes fresh coffee on demand that is pretty good. That's rad. They have a bunch of Bama themes around. It makes sense the whole town is the school I feel like. I'll probably return. There is a Waffle House my car will drive itself quickly to if I am in need of assistance.... and the chargers are in the parking lot. Sweet. '25 - 92/111
