After only one session I noticed a significant change and healing in a severe and complicated ankle sprain. I got more out of just one session with Damian then I did in 6months of standard Physio at another physio clinic. Hands on manipulation, stretching and strengthening Pilates exercises was able to target the precise problem areas that other physio was not able to target. Best of all I was not in any extreme pain after the session or within the following days. This was significant as I suffer with Lupus, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia and a heart condition that can impede in me being able get through typical physio or low impact workout session. Pilates4Physio was the perfect balance. I'm so thankful I found Damian and his approach and for the first time look forward to therapy sessions.

He served up a small glass of distilled water the moment I entered the room. Its immediately apparent that Damian is very knowledgeable; he speaks with a British accent. A small radio played Classic Rock. The intake form was only two pages! followed by a short interview. After that Damian worked on me for an hour and charged me under a hundred bucks - i bought a package. Pilates 4 Physio is perfect for business executives living with back pain, neck pain, tennis elbow, or the dreaded carpel tunnel syndrome. The studio is just a short walk from the financial district - I rode my bike (in the Adelaide bike lane) from Liberty Village. I'll tell you now parking is an issue but there is a lot just south of the The Tire Source at Queen and Jarvis - $12 flat. Knowing and having access to a physiotherapist in downtown Toronto is going to be great for me, and my back. But I should mention, Damian specializes in treating sports related injuries and knows a lot of famous athletes. This medical man is a cool Brit with magic hands and powerful fingers to press stress out of my sore muscles and joints.. .

For anyone living in…read morethe downtown core area, their locations are easy to access and their pricing is very fair. Their phone and office reception is super helpful and easy to communicate with. Intake is straight forward and the booking website is easy. You can even put in alerts for last minute openings to optimize your benefits. Rebalance offers many options to fit your benefits as they have a wide range of services and pricing. YMMV, my physio service provider was very helpful and listened to all my concerns as well as made tailored rehab workouts available via their preferred app provider - PhysiApp. They also have a shared floor washroom where you can change before/after your appointment. Will be trying out their out services as needed. But so far it has been good progress at once every 4 weeks.

Very knowledgeable and attentive - she hit all my target complaint areas and loosened my knots which put me an intense ZzzZz mode (I may have snored). She gave me some tips on stretches and recommended maintenance sessions in 4-6 weeks. Best part is that there wasn't a lot of oil used, just enough for treatment so I could get dressed and not feel weird for the rest of the day if you are headed back to the office! The office - make no mistake that this is a treatment facility and not a spa so yes chatter could be heard while I was getting my massage so you should be aware of this. Form filing, payment etc is SO efficient and they are on top of it. Direct billing is possible and where not, they advise you. Will be back!

FInding a family doctor is hard, so when I moved downtown 10 years ago, I discovered that I couldn't find a family doctor, but I could be assigned to a Nurse Practitioner at WCH Family Practice. For those reluctant to opt for a Nurse Practitioner, I can tell you from my experience, it is better than a family doctor. Anything they can handle on their own is done quickly because you can see them sooner than the overbooked doctors, and when there is something they can't handle, it is referred to a doctor in the clinic or a specialist, so it is the best of both worlds. My Nurse practitioner retired last year and I ended up becoming a patient of one of the doctors in the clinic, and while she is a great doctor, WCH is a teaching hospital, so she is only in the clinic twice a week, so appointments are hard to get. However, WCH family practice offers urgent care appointments in the evenings, so if a doctor can't see you that day, you can see one in the evening, instead of going to a walk in clinic or emergency. The clinic is very accessible, something I appreciated after my knee surgery.
