I decided to choose this learning center to help me with my french after going seeing all the 5…read morestars reviews on Google. And this is one of the biggest mistakes in my life. They rushed me to pay the tuition early saying I can get the promotional price, so I did, seeing I can request for a refund if anything happens. Now that I'm not able to take any more classes due to my schedule, they charge me the full price instead of the discount price. I only took 1 session (1h30 min) with them and this is what I have to pay 2 units (1 session) - $150 ( $75/unit) ( the discounted price suppose to be 49.75/unit/45 mins) Material Fee - $150 Registration fee - $100 $400 for 1H30M. THIS IS A SCAM AND UNETHICAL!!! Please avoid this place at all costs. Plus, their teaching is not that good. I questioned my decision after being scammed and decided to check on their Google review once again to see if I'd registered for the wrong place. And turned out their Google review are all PAID REVIEWS, they're all 5-stars and generic. TLDR; Avoid

There are always give and takes in opening a business but as of spring 2019, the staff is sufficient in quantity and training, the number of students is reasonable without overloading the available teachers. They are flexible with timing changes and vacation requests. It is only open for Mon, Wed, Fri with Friday being the most empty if you want your child to have more teacher time. I have grade 9 and grade 2 boys who attend the reading program. For the grade 2, with only 6 months of time in Canada and only 5 months at Kumon (and elementary), he can read simple novels as fast as his Japanese. The highschooler has progressed from lack of confidence in ELL1 to challenging himself to get out of ELL by next year. I believe she cares quite deeply about the education of each student, and in proxy that is how she chooses and leads her staff.

It was obvious from the first one-on-one session that she was a first class teacher. Angel standards are high, it reflects in the level of teaching! With a high competency in English, this transfers into making the Mandarin relevant for day to day use. The material from Key Language is detailed on the structure of the language, good vocabulary, and relevant exercises that push you, and enable you to bring together what is being taught in each module. Angel is an enthusiastic teacher, personable, patient, and thorough. I have come to realize that learning Chinese requires hard work, but it is not hard to learn! This 5 star review is fully earned, and justified.
