I've gotta say, I'm a long time fan of MYER. Since moving back from overseas last year, I've been on a bit of a shop small mission. But when small just doesn't hit the mark, MYER does. Particularly the Rundle Mall store.
For me, MYER are the got to for everything across shoes, underwear, clothing (hello, Dangerfield), electronics, manchester, cosmetics, perfume, gifts, kitchen wear... the list goes on! I guess that's the idea of a department store after all.
For me, the price matches the quality, and I have to be honest, I like the stand-back approach of the service. They greet, and then they back the hey off until I'm ready. Okay, so they don't always greet, we've all been in the position where we have to take our items to a completely different department in order to find a staff member (sorry to the teen boy in kitchenwares I handed my intimates to once). But when you do find a staff member, they're cordial, efficient, and helpful. I once noticed they'd left a 30% off books sign up past the date. I informed the salesperson and asked cheekily if he'd honour it, he did - no muss no fuss. Same goes for a speaker I returned after 11 months of it playing up a little. They swapped it, right there, swiftly and politely.
I could go on. But I would just start jibber jabbering. Is MYER perfect? No. But they are a pretty dang good one stop shop and they've got me for life. read more
