Formerly Punch Menswear, Calibre has revamped the once unnecessarily large interior and added a touch of sophistication. Whilst very similar in style to its predecessor, Calibre offers styles for both casual and professional looks. Obviously the extra money that designer labels are able to put in makes a considerable difference - but the transformation of this shop is simply incredible. The decor is sleek, and the management seems a lot more streamlined.
The clothing is expectedly a little pricey. I'm not the kind of guy that would regularly spend an average of $150 on a button-down shirt, but that's just me. However, I do think that the prices are a reasonable reflection of the design and quality that goes into the clothing, as most of the clothing here looks pretty sharp. The suits are also much classier than anything you'd find at discount menswear stores, so if you're considering spending big on a nice suit, Calibre is worth checking out.
Alex, the manager of the Rundle Street branch, is also a super friendly guy and good to have a chat with, and he won't hesitate to give you a hand whilst you're browsing. read more
