Z Sweat Dance and Fitness - Let's start the party!

Z Sweat Dance and Fitness

Can I give 6 stars, please?!?…read more Z Sweat is my happy place!!! I love that this studio focuses just on Zumba/Zumba toning. Mariela and Nati are hands down the best Zumba instructors I've ever had (and I've taken oh so many Zumba classes!) They are fun, energetic, kind and engaging and truly invested in their students' experiences. The enthusiasm in class is absolutely contagious. They've recently brought on another instructor, Alyona, who is super high energy and fun as well. The choreography and music at Z Sweat are the best. Zumba contributes to better physical and mental wellness- many of us slimming down, getting more fit, and getting major stress relief from class. And getting fit while dancing with your newfound friends is pretty awesome- I know I definitely prefer it to a treadmill! What keeps me coming to Z Sweat, and makes this place so very special, is the sense of community and comradery. So many friendly people and smiles throughout class with a "Zumba high" lasting the whole day long. I always look forward to class at Z Sweat. I would encourage anyone interested to check this studio out. You won't regret it!

Z sweat is a very cute place with genuine vibes. The instructor when i went (once) seemed very…read moresweet and like she enjoyed her job. Theres people of all ages and demographics here, which i personally love. There was a lady in the front who was super toned and giving 150% and i loved that because it made me want to go harder. There are also elderly people there and that also made me smile :) One thing that I could say wasn't my favorite was the shape of the studio. It is a very skinny rectangle and i was kind of off to the back left so I felt kind of squished (it was not crowded though). I also wasn't the biggest fan of the specific routine that day, but i wont really consider that in my rating. The only other thing is that it seems like a lot of the people there already knew the routine so it was a little hard for me to keep up with the instructor but im honestly not too worried about that because for me the point of zumba is to be active so it doesn't matter if im hitting all the moves right. The classes also are pretty cheap i think, so thats nice. Id definitely come again!

I loved the versatility of the group there; clearly, every culture and age was represented, which made it even more fun. This is what the doctor ordered for me since I had been in my head all day about some things. Nina was one of the most encouraging, energetic, and supportive persons for this class. She made you want to push yourself to learn the choreography steps. She also let everyone know not to take themselves seriously and enjoy the dance, which I did by the end of the class. Now, let me say that I always thought I had some moves. But Bollywood challenged me a bit--okay, a lot. I took a video, but it's for my viewing pleasure; sorry. I sent it to my girlfriends so we can book a class with Nina. Whatever you do, please do yourself a favor and book a class or try a free class to see how much fun it is and how much exercise you can get. You will not be sorry. Hats off to Nina and ZIND Performing Academy for a job well done.

LA Fitness - The 2 memebers of the gym who think it's funny to harass women saying "you can't lean on the wall I have to be working out "

I had a very unpleasant experience at this LA Fitness location recently that left me feeling…read moreembarrassed and singled out by the manager Stacy. I drove about 30 minutes out of my way that morning to attend a yoga class with Kasturi, which was wonderful and absolutely the highlight of my visit. Unfortunately, the experience I had at the front desk before the class was the opposite. I brought my sister with me as a guest as I've done since 2022. My membership allows me to bring guests, and I've done so before without any issues. However, the manager, Stacy, immediately accused us of sharing a membership. This was not true and was honestly embarrassing to be accused of in front of other people. My sister was asked to sign a liability waiver, which is completely understandable. She simply asked to read the waiver before signing it. When she asked if it could be printed so she could read it more easily, she was told that wasn't possible. When I tried to take a photo of the waiver on the screen so we could read it, I was accused of taking a picture of the staff and was told I needed to leave the gym. I've never had an experience like this at any other location since starting my membership years ago. At one point the manager became visibly angry, slamming items on the desk and aggressively pushing the check-in machine toward my sister. She was extremely aggressive and rude. I was also asked to prove that I hadn't taken photos of staff by showing my phone, which I did. Nothing inappropriate was found. The entire interaction was loud, confrontational, and very uncomfortable. I've been a member of LA Fitness for years and have never experienced anything like this at any location. I've never encountered such a lack of professionalism and display of aggression from a staff member before. Again, the yoga class with Kasturi was great and worth the drive, but the front desk interaction made the start of the visit extremely stressful and embarrassing. I hope management looks into how situations like this are handled in the future, because members shouldn't feel accused or publicly embarrassed when simply trying to check in with a guest.

From the moment we approached the desk, we were immediately accused of sharing a membership, which was completely untrue. The interaction felt confrontational right away. When I was asked to sign a guest waiver, I simply requested to read it before signing and asked if it could be printed. I was told it could not be printed. When we tried to take a photo of the waiver on the screen so I could read it more carefully, Stacy accused us of taking a picture of her and escalated the situation further. She demanded to see my sister's phone, including her recently deleted photos, despite there being no photo of her taken. I tried to assure her that "No one wanted a picture of her on their phone" but she still insisted to see my sister's personal photo archives. Once my sister showed Stacy her photo long, both recent and deleted that's was when she was finally able to move past accusing my sister of taking her photo. The exchange became loud and tense, and items were being slammed on the desk during the interaction. It felt hostile and unnecessarily aggressive for what should have been a routine guest check-in. The yoga class itself was wonderful and worth the drive, but the front desk experience was embarrassing and uncomfortable enough that it overshadowed the visit. I hope management takes steps to ensure guests and members are treated with professionalism and respect.
