Murdock is very selfish and bullies his clients. He put an electronic sign on our property with a number to call for a recording. The house was on the Snake River and showed well with lots of drive-by traffic. The problem with the recording was it directed people to five of his other listings and provided no information about our house. When I confronted him, he claimed it would help my house sell and became angry when I told him that was just nonsense. The listing was about up and we were looking forward to listing with another realtor. At the last minute another realtor found a buyer, not Murdock. At the closing he was sick and coughing all over everybody. That didn't stop him from chewing me out for not taking $30,000 less. Apparently, he had a deal with the other realtor to buy the house for a lower price. This is highly unethical, he was supposed to be representing us, not the other side. During the listing he told another realtor that we weren't home and they could show the house to clients by obtaining the lockbox key. It was early morning and I was fishing. My wife was asleep in the master bedroom when three strangers walked into her bedroom Murdock was too lazy to even call to see if we were home. He once bragged to me about one of his neighbors who was prominent in the community because the neighbor wouldn't take any guff from his business associates. Some people have bulldozer personalities and resort to this behavior to bully others. They become highly agitated when you refuse to be bullied. He had some very good employees that worked for him, I'll give him that.

I feel this has been the worst experience I have had with any company in my entire life. I feel Bryan Davis lied to me and that following his advice cost me several thousands of dollars and many sleepless nights. Frankly, I was on the fence about whether to list with them until Bryan Davis offered some enticements to list with him. He gave my property a valuation of $250k, said it would sell for that within 30 days, then said "if it doesn't sell for $240k I will eat my shorts." He then made a promise that if it didn't sell after 3 price drops and 90 days on market Murdock Manwaring would buy the property. He told my wife and I this, and then he put the notes right on THE LISTING CONTRACT! After 120 days on market and the dropping the price to $215k, I told Bryan Davis I'd like to take them up on their guarantee to buy it. Bryan then texted me and said he would get the ball rolling (implying getting us the purchase and sale agreement) so we stopped the listing so they could buy as Bryan had promised me. I later learned that while I had signed my side of the listing contract in May, he sent me my only copy on September 29th, and September 29th shows that is when Bryan Davis had signed it. If true then it appears it was listed all summer without an accepted agreement by the agent! To sort this out we met with his boss and then the boss and Bryan. I felt like Bryan lied and felt the boss twisted wording to try to get out of what Bryan had promised me. In the end, they said "We don't have a contract with you" (with the signed listing agreement in front of all of us) and they were not going to do anything for me, even though Bryan had put in the Listing Agreement that he would get the property bought by Murdock Manwaring if we didn't sell it after 90 days on the market. I trusted Bryan Davis and the team at Murdock Manwaring to do what he promised me. I feel scammed, lied to, and ripped off.
