I really liked the idea of 24-hour rental so I could pack up the truck the night before my move. The truck was brand new (only about 900 kms on it), the staff was very helpful. It was reasonably priced, especially since it drove almost 100km. \there are companies out there that charge per calendar day, and thankfully Penske's is on a 24-hour basis. Do not book here (City car rental or their other name - Surprice Car Rental) and never give them your credit card details or you will regret it for sure. Read all the negative reviews. Those are real experiences. The 5star reviews on google are fake and posted by paid agents and their own people. After my google review, they will try to post more fake 5star reviews to cover up and push mine down. Have initiated legal action against these unscrupulous fly by night operators. When calling around or looking online to book a 16 foot moving truck, Penke's rates SEEMED higher…read morethan Budget and others. But I discovered two interesting things: The first is that Budget won't actually hold a truck for you with a reservation - you can call and request one, but it's always first-come, first-served, so you could arrive on your moving day, maybe on the first or last weekend of the month when everyone else wants a rental truck, and not have a truck available! With Penske, on the other hand, when you reserve a truck, they actually hold it for you, so you are guaranteed to get a truck when you need it. When I picked my truck up, they were constantly fielding calls from people who had thought they had a Budget truck reserved, and were now scrambling to find one somewhere else with a truck on their moving day. I'm glad I avoided that nightmare! The second is that rates from other companies that initially seemed lower would later turn out to be much higher once you calculated the mileage rates, and found out about all the hidden fees. Not only did Penske turn out to be the cheaper option in the end, but what I expected to be paying is exactly what I paid in the end, with no surprises. Not only was the whole experience free from stress, panic, and surprises, I also had good experiences dealing with the staff at the location, and also their head office over the phone and by email. The head office followed up after the rental, and when I mentioned that I didn't get a receipt because I had dropped the truck off after business hours, the person I spoke with personally emailed a PDF receipt to me right away. Coming from downtown Toronto, this location on Belfield Road was not the closest rental truck option for me, but not only was it worth it for the better experience, they also had plenty of parking, so I was able to drive my car there, leave it parked in their lot while I moved, and then drive it home after I dropped the truck off. So, that worked perfectly for me, but it would have taken three times longer to get there by public transit rather than driving!

In fact there were high winds that day and the cube truck, despite being buffeted, operated perfectly, making us feel very safe. I can't say enough about the customer service. I barely made the closing time, due to traffic getting there, but Frank, the manager, stayed to the last minute to wait for the reservation to show up. He then stayed a little past closing to make sure I was set to go. He went over the contract step by step so I made the best choices. I can't say enough good things about the place, and I highly recommend everyone to go there to have as stress-free an experience as I had. And if you do any research in this area, you will find that their prices are the best, or tied for the best rates in the GTA. So getting the best rates, clean well-operating vehicles and excellent customer service makes choosing them a no-brainer.

Although distance is limited to 300km per day, it's a great option if you only plan on traveling within the GTA. I paid $45 to rent an intermediate size (mid-range) car for one day (Chevy Cobalt). Other agencies were charging about $65-85 for a comparable model. LDW was covered by my Amex, so saved about $20 there. Best part is they provide a pick up and drop off service anywhere in Brampton.
