Others quoted me around $250 -$300 for the job but they can't go same day so I assume it will be around the same cost with near by companies. I was very wrong. The technician from Tom's requested $295 just to open it and it will be another $285 to replace the lock. Since the pricing is way deeper than I expected, I asked for a discount but the technician told me only the owner can decide on pricing, so I call the office again and spoke to a lady, was told the owner will call me soon. No call from owner and later the technician called and asked for the premium of $580 saying he let me know the price before the job, so now that it's finished it's only fair that I pay the full price. Tried hard to negotiate and got it down to $550. Notice, the "boss" never call me at all or I don't even now if this "boss" ever exist. Technician called again and mentions he must wait for a confirmation screenshot for payment before he leaves. I was pressured to pay before I can even negotiate with the boss. I later check the other reviews and found out many others were in the same situation, paying way over. If for anything, I guess you are paying for convenience for this company. Again, $550 to open and replace a mailbox lock. I wonder how are they able to get a 4.2 stars on Yelp?

Two out of the four ignored my request and the other two said they couldn't do the job. Then I contacted Ali. He asked for pictures of the lock and said he could come down and give me a quote. He came down at the time he specified and eventually installed, which ended up being three new locks for me. I don't think he installed this kind of lock before but he was able to figure it out. He could have just said, "I don't install these kind of locks" and left but he took the time and got them installed correctly.
