She worked so closely with us leading up to our wedding and completely rocked our wedding day. I want to write about all aspects here so please see all the sections: Day of: Oh my gosh. Joan went so far above and beyond for us. We had some communication issues with our venue and Joan stepped in right away to help me stick to the details we'd been planning together. She really became our day-of coordinator and worked so well with our photographers, videographer, caterers and more to keep everyone together on the same page and on schedule. They all loved working with her and I can say our whole event was FLAWLESS thanks to Joan. Amazing personality, speaker, officiant, and DJ: So many of our guests came up to us to tell us how amazing she was. Our ceremony was officiated beautifully, eloquently, and to perfection. She played all of our songs and perfect times and the the crowd loved it. She was so friendly to our wedding party, family, and guests. We can say whole-heartedly that we LOVE Joan. Preparations and Planning: I am very particular and sent Joan countless versions of our ceremony and playlists. She was always open to hearing from us and worked with us on every last detail. She really gave us her time and attention and made me feel so confident going into our big day. Beyond the usual planning, we live in California and our wedding was in Connecticut. We had very few chances to meet our vendors in person but Joan was so flexible and always made her self available when we were in town. She was also fantastic to work with over the phone and email. She made the distance a complete non-issue. Look no further. Joan is your perfect DJ / Offiiant!

Amazing! Mike was the DJ for our wedding in July of 2007. We knew from meeting him that he was the…read moreman for the job. He has a huge catalog of music and was easily able to meet our selections for each part of the reception, even editing one of our favorite songs (lengthening the intro and then splicing in the chorus) so it would work for our introduction. He has a web form brides (and grooms, if they care) can access to enter in all the information for the day, including names and pronunciations of the wedding party. He makes everything a breeze and he's incredibly friendly to boot. And his prices are reasonable. He played every song we asked him to. He refused to play the songs we told him not to play. (And you'd be amazed how often stuff from the DNP list ends up getting played at weddings I've been to.) He played enough slow songs to keep the day romantic but not so many to keep everyone from dancing the afternoon away. Our reception started at 1pm but many of our guests later told us that our wedding felt like a "night wedding." The dance floor was always full and everyone had fun. Mike was probably the biggest reason for that. I'd say it was 50% Mike, 40% the open bar and 10% the masks. (Don't ask.)

Mikes confidence is well founded, because he freaking nailed it! The guests at our wedding were tearing up the dance floor all night long, and the transitions between wedding introductions, dinner music, speeches, and perfect dance music was seamless to the point that all of the guests were smiling and happy the entire night! Mike's website interface is simple, yet very thorough. Every song we requested was played, and more importantly the songs that we intentionally nixed were absent!! Mike also integrated songs that aren't available for download via the internet. All we had to do was send him digital files through DropBox. Piece of cake! Equipment is all top end. Sound was excellent. His crew was integrated but also unseen. Setup of equipment was on time, and perfect. I would recommend Mike Connolly as a top DJ for any event! I'd also recommend Mike Connolly as a really fantastic guy!

She does not just "tell your story," but she gets to know you so deeply that she is able to portray who you are as individuals as well as a couple, and how and why you have made it to this point and will continue forward together. She takes the time to get to know you on a personal level when meeting, and then even more so in a detailed questionnaire you complete. Then the magic happens. While reading our first draft from Zita my husband and I were crying and laughing throughout, and reminiscing with the moments of our life she included and truly taking in the knowledge she shared throughout. Our ceremony was so special, and would not have been that way without Zita. Despite the high emotions running through us all, she is able to get you back into the moment and recognize and celebrate the major accomplishment you are making and the love you are sharing. The light she brought to us, our family and friends, and our ceremony, will continue to shine through during all milestones in our life together.
