Good pictures start from being at ease and Carrie will definitely put you at ease. Even from the first consultation, she makes you feel like you are the only client and the only one that matters. Her pictures are amazing and every now and then she'll say "Let me try something" - those will be the best pictures. One thing I was not expecting was for her to help me draw up a timeline for the day. I didn't have a wedding planner and kind of cobbled it all together myself. Carrie, based on all her experience, advised me on getting hair and makeup done earlier (she was right), having the flowers delivered earlier (she was right again - especially since the delivery was running late), and leaving earlier to get to the church. As she said, no bride has ever complained about being too early. I wasn't too early at any stage and her timeline actually prevented me from being late and stressed out. The second photographer she came with (Dan) was just as great. After meeting him for the first time on the day of the wedding, I was instantly at ease with him in under 5 mins. We could tell that he genuinely cared about the bride and groom getting the pictures they wanted and having a great experience. He was intuitive enough to see that all of our running around Mystic Seaport was starting to take a toll on the bride and was able to very efficiently get the remaining shots without wearing her out too much. At the reception, he was very friendly with all of the guests and accommodated all of our requests. My husband and I were so impressed that we asked for a business card in case we need a photographer in the future and we live in Pennsylvania! Suchitra was really professional and accommodating to our crazy fusion wedding (I am Christian and my husband is Hindu--we had both ceremonies). I only have two tiny complaints--one is that she promised to be there the whole day and then ended up leaving before the father-daughter dance. She asked me if this was ok and I felt bad saying no since it had been such a long day, but because of this I have no pictures of my father-daughter dance with my Dad. She was very accommodating all day, though, and would definitely have stayed if I had asked. The other is that somehow, in all the hubub of the day, I didn't end up with any pictures of my maternal grandparents. She took great care to ask my family and my husband's who to photograph, though, so this may have been my sister or other family members not pointing them out clearly. The quality of their photo strips is excellent, and they were able to customize our photo strips to match our wedding invitations exactly! We decided to have a photo booth sort of last minute (2 weeks before our wedding), and we had a specific budget in mind for this. Denise was completely willing to work with us on this so we were able to get what we wanted at a price that worked for us, I really appreciated that! I also love the backdrop options they have, and the one we chose perfectly complimented our photo strips. They refuse to give our money back, and cannot come to the moved date. We would even be willing to accept half the money, but they said no. I just feel that with the devastation of having to move our wedding and not have it as we always dreamed due to Covid, a wedding business should understand and be empathetic. It is sad that during this difficult time, this company refuses to refund any of the money during these unprecedented times. All I asked was for half the money back, how unethical during a pandemic.

She worked so closely with us leading up to our wedding and completely rocked our wedding day. I want to write about all aspects here so please see all the sections: Day of: Oh my gosh. Joan went so far above and beyond for us. We had some communication issues with our venue and Joan stepped in right away to help me stick to the details we'd been planning together. She really became our day-of coordinator and worked so well with our photographers, videographer, caterers and more to keep everyone together on the same page and on schedule. They all loved working with her and I can say our whole event was FLAWLESS thanks to Joan. Amazing personality, speaker, officiant, and DJ: So many of our guests came up to us to tell us how amazing she was. Our ceremony was officiated beautifully, eloquently, and to perfection. She played all of our songs and perfect times and the the crowd loved it. She was so friendly to our wedding party, family, and guests. We can say whole-heartedly that we LOVE Joan. Preparations and Planning: I am very particular and sent Joan countless versions of our ceremony and playlists. She was always open to hearing from us and worked with us on every last detail.
