With the birth of my beautiful baby boy, I was presented with a sweet $100 gift voucher at Nature Baby, and I listed all the wonderful things I could buy there. Unfortunately upon arrival I soon realized that the only thing you can buy at the store for a hundred bucks is a $100 gift voucher. Okay, I'm exaggerating, but they are steep in their pricing, and that includes the general baby goods on sale. The unique offerings were justified in their elevated pricing, because some items were just too gorgeous for words, hence me spending another hundred or so in the store. I can recommend this store for people wanting to buy that special item for a new baby or grandchild, your gift will set you apart from the others at the baby shower.

I mean who can resist baby pink sheepskin booties? Not me, that's for sure. Today I bought some for my friend who only 20weeks pregnant. Although it's called Nature Baby, they also have another line called Nature Kids, which they stock at this store too. The sizes go up to 4yo but it's a pretty small range. On top of this there's a small selection of toys and beauty products too. I love that everything is natural and made from sustainable materials where ever possible. They do have bigger stores over the other side but this one is my favourite - any excise to go to The Dept Store really...

It took nine months a week before I walked through those doors and purchased my babies first ever baby sling wrap. Why had I not been in earlier, this is such a cool shop, its small, but filled to the bring with goodies for the kiddies. I have purchased since then, clothes, my babies first pair of soft shoes once he started walking, lots of second hand top quality books, a Jolly Jumper front sling, and a few beach items. All that rough and tumble, play fighting, all the usual things that kids get into are made a design feature in the way this furniture is produced. All furniture is fashioned with smooth edges, countersunk bolts and gliding drawers so its inherently safe and durable. I was accompanying my auntie on her excursion of buying my little cousin a new bed as he was really outgrowing his old one, selection was made really simple as all the furniture in-store has been arranged in themes relating to a child's age group from babies through to teenagers. We went straight to the little boys area and were immediately taken by this single bed on a red racing car frame, we knew that my cousin would go crazy for it (he is obsessed by the movie 'Cars'). The 'car bed' itself even has working headlights, I kinda wanted one for myself but my feet hung over the edge. It was on sale too, bonus! The store itself is New Zealand owned and operated, and they made everything including the delivery of the bed super easy. My little cousin couldn't be happier with his new bed and I couldn't be more jealous!
