On my recent venture for more gift clothing for family, I came across Charlie & Me. Its a great little kids store that caters for newborns to 10 years olds and the best part about it is that its affordable. The prices are great and their sale items are such good value especially for new season clothes. Charlie & Me have great muck-around clothes for everyday wear as well as some fancy, out-for-dinner clothes for little ones too. I went there when they had a sale on during a late night and it was really busy, so I can't comment on the service as staff were rushing around, understandably. The selection of sizes in sale items was great too, unless it was just my lucky day! Charlie & Me do seriously cute clothes and footwear for kids. And at such great prices, it a must-stop for parents and relatives for some awesome bargains too.

Having purchased a lot of items in store, both gender, I can honestly say (hand-on-heart) they are my one of the best! You can regularly find bargains and clearance items. I just purchased tees, hoodie and pjs for under $90, wow! They stock everything from jeans, tees, stretch-n-grows, socks, shoes, sweaters, cords, swimmers - you name it, except children's underwear. Love this brand:)

But now that I'm a proud father, I often find myself shopping for new clothes, even when he's got more than enough outfits already. Walking past Pumpkin Patch, I decided to see what is new and fresh in the one year old range, and I was quite surprised to see the latest trends in onesies. My memories of all the babies I've ever seen where that they were dressed in either a white blue or pink outfit. I can't even recall ever seeing stripes on a baby's clothes. Pastels seems to be big in the 6 months to 1 year range, and for those little darlings learning to walk, they offer frills for girls and prints of toys for the boys. Boy, how times have changed.

There stores are located normally in malls (LynnMall, St Luke's, Sylvia Park, Dressmart etc) with the exception of this shop - which is on a major shopping street in Takapuna. I was greeted with racks of tutus available outside the store, which made me smile (girly & colourful). The sales assistant was busy behind the counter and acknowledged me briefly. The merchandising was chaotic, slightly claustrophobic due to so much stock and not knowing where to look first. There are always great reductions on t-shirts, usually 2 for $20-$25. Lots of great girls footwear in particular, hair accessories and drink bottles for $6 when you make a purchase. I didn't buy what I wanted, however I still left content with my $2 charity bag full of boys clothes. Customer service needs improvement, nonetheless I will go back to my fav store in Sylvia Park next time! Nearly forgot - chilled bottled water is $1-$2 by the counter!

Their merino range in particular is brilliant for those cold winter months, and it can be hard to find such good quality, warm clothing for babies elsewhere. Tip: If you're ever in Grey Lynn and looking for baby shower gifts or necessities for your littlies, pop in to Nature Baby and ask for Geraldine - she will make sure you leave with everything you need!
