Once you've tasted Chloé Y's summer rolls, nothing quite compares! But My Pho's effort was decent, packed with prawns and plenty coriander. The pork spring rolls were slightly disappointing, as they contained the gelatinous goo we tend to get in rubbish British Chinese takeaways. We only had time to come in. For a quick snack, I'll be back to sample the pho, the next table's over smelled amazing!

I was in Liverpool Lime Street station waiting for my next train and I wanted to have some dinner nearby. The restaurant is situated right outside Liverpool Central Station, just a 5 mins walk away. I decided on this restaurant as it has good reviews, and it was in a perfect location for a quick meal. I bought the meal deal, which includes pho, spring roll and a drink for £8. I ordered the prawn pho, veggie spring roll and lemon tea. The veggie spring rolls are decent, but the lemon tea was a bit too sweet for my taste and the prawn pho was very disappointing! A generous portion of prawn pho but mostly filled with noodles and only a few prawns and beansprouts. The soup broth was very bland-tasted like they just added a chicken broth cube to boiling water. At £6 a bowl you can get some broth cubes, noodles and beansprouts from the supermarket and make your own for cheaper.

You won't of tasted anything like it. The food is fresh and flavours vibrant and exciting. The staff are very good too at looking after you and the head chef Loc is one of the best in the business. If you fancy something new and exciting to eat there is no better place to go. p.s. the chicken wings are AMAZING!!!

The name upon arrival was also i thought a really bad choice, the connotations of bistro is not one that is synonymous with any part of South East Asia. The atmosphere upon arrival was verging on hostile, the three people who worked there clearly had some issue with us, im not quite sure what, but they were lovely with the old middle class group just in front of us. We ordered spring rolls for starters, not my choice but they turned out to be really nice. I had never eaten them by wrapping a mint leaf then a lettuce leaf around it before dunking it into some dipping sauce; a nice touch i thought! However, one again the service from the three women was steely in its resolution and the wait for food was just far too long! Upon arrival we were given a few prawn crackers between five of us, for the amount of time we had to wait for our order to be taken let alone the food arrive, i would have have thought several more would have been in order. When the food eventually arrived we were asked if we knew how to eat the food, it was at this point she, the manager it would appear, noticed we had a South East Asian girl with us, and said 'ohh of course you know how to eat it'........................ Words literally escaped me! Christine is of Vietnamese descendants , but what an unholy assumption to make! The girls then asked for Sriracha, a standard Vietnamese sauce, which they had no clue what it was. And instead got really quite funny about them asking for it and interrupted the meal several times wanting the name of this illusive sauce. In the end they brought over chilli chopped and raw. The food i had i thought was utterly delicious, i order the green curry as my first baby step into Vietnamese food and was delighted! The girls who all ordered Pho, said it was okay but they had had better. The one saving grace in this place in the cook, without him this place would have closed long ago! It is fair to say though that the massive wait for food is directly due to the fact that he is the only chef. In summary food very good, service absolutely crap! The chef on his own would get 4-5 stars, the service 1, so it really depends how badly you wanted to be treated to get a reward. People with sub ordination fetish' s, i feel you might love the service!

I was in Liverpool to spend some time with family friends after visiting London. We planned to have…read moredinner here and supposedly is one of the better Chinese restaurants in Liverpool. The parking lot is quite large, so lots of parking spots available. There is also a supermarket located in the basement floor of the restaurant. Upon entering, I noticed it looked a bit dated. All of the lights are probably very, incredibly dusty... most likely hasn't been cleaned since the day they opened. Lots of lights, but still managed to have very dim lighting. We went for the 8 course dinner set, which you can choose 8 dishes to get out of the many dishes they offer for this set. Let me preface first that I am from Boston and definitely have had New England/Maine lobster BUT I honestly never realized how good our lobsters are. The ginger scallion stir fried lobster with yee mein was a generous portion, but taste wise I couldn't get down with it. The lobster has a bad aftertaste that kind of just lingers & the yee mein was not actually even yee mein... plus could've been more flavorful. The best dishes I found they had were the duck & the soup. I think it's quite difficult to mess up on both those dishes though, to be frank. The worst dish I had here was the chicken. Everyone at our table agreed that it was extremely dry & barely edible. Cleanliness: One thing that I am always looking for and super mindful of when I first sit down to eat at a restaurant is how clean are their utensils? How clean are the plates & bowls? etc. Plates were pretty dirty, bowls were fine for soup, & utensils-- it is a good thing they do single use wooden chopsticks. Overall, their food is not great but also good Chinese food in England is either really hard to find or doesn't exist. The Chinatown in Liverpool is a ghost town and looks abandoned , so my guess is that good, authentic Chinese food must be rare to come by.
